Demon Hunter and His Cabin
Chapter 365 - Chapter 365 Chapter 365 Where is the stick

Chapter 365: Chapter 365: Where is the stick? Chapter 365: Chapter 365: Where is the stick? “Don’t rush, you might want to hear a story first.”

The Witch took a half step back, watching Roger’s facial expressions closely as she began to speak.

Roger clenched his fists, the flame on his palm disappearing.

“You’d better be persuasive.”

The distance between the two was so close that Roger was confident he could kill her within three strikes!

“Long ago, this place wasn’t known as Sleeping Valley. The entire kingdom was famous for its roses, and during the blooming season, the roses that spread throughout the kingdom turned it into a sea of flowers.”

“Among them, a red rose as crimson as blood was the most precious. Its blooms were like flames, each one worth a city’s ransom.”

“But what no one knew was that every inhabitant here was not human. They ground the corpses of regular people to nourish the soil, while their souls were infused into the plants.”

“That’s how the legendary Fire Roses came about.”

“To combat this evil kingdom, a total of 13 White Witches joined forces and came here. After sacrificing the lives of 12, they successfully sealed the entire kingdom.”

“Only one person left this place.”

“And that person was my ancestor.”

“Although they paid a heavy price, they could only seal this place for 100 years. After that, the seal would break, and these monsters would awaken from their slumber.”

“Why didn’t you choose to burn this place down?”

Roger asked, puzzled.

“Burning a forest simply leads to a more lush one growing back after many years.”

“The White Witches had limited power, and the Flower Monster they fought against was too strong. More importantly, every person in this kingdom was its subject, as well as part of it.”

“Unless you could destroy the entire kingdom in an instant, there’s no way to completely kill it.”

The Witch explained.

“So you chose to enter here now because you found a solution to this crisis?”

The Witch nodded her head.

“Above the dome resides the true body of the Flower Monster. When the kingdom was sealed, it was the one that passed the sleeping curse onto every person.”

“And the woman you see before you is another part of it. If awakened, it will rush to the dome to reunite with its true body as quickly as possible.”

“When that happens, the terrible monsters will awaken, and so will the entire kingdom.”

“What if I kill it?” Roger countered.

“It will vanish, but then reappear at the location of the true body, and the outcome will be the same.”

The Witch continued her explanation.

“I see. So what we need to do now is head to the dome and kill the true body of the Flower Monster there, right?”

“Yes.” The Witch seemed to breathe a sigh of relief as she nodded in response.

“What about the others who came in with you?”

“We need to find them, and then go together to the dome to kill that monster.”

Roger shrugged, “They might already be under the influence of the pollen and fallen into a deep sleep, hardly of any help in the short term.”

“Not necessarily.”

“The pollen is not that powerful; it takes many exposures before it fully pulls a person into slumber.”

“I think it won’t be long before your companions awaken, but we must hurry. With each descent of the pollen, their sleep will be prolonged.”

“Until they can no longer awaken.”

“That makes sense,” Roger nodded, but a glint of sharpness flashed in his eyes.

Leaving the tower with the Witch, they didn’t have to wait long before Steve, the first to fall into unconsciousness, awoke from his sleep.

Then came Azumani and Evelyn.

Roger, under the guise of his princely status, proclaimed revelation as a reason to explain the matters of the Royal Palace to everyone.

Although Azumani and the others were somewhat suspicious, considering everything that had happened before, they instinctively believed what Roger said.

“Let’s go, we can set off.”

“Wait a moment.”

Just before they were about to leave, Azumani hesitated.

“Steve is my student, a Junior Druid, but he sustained some injuries earlier and probably won’t be of much use in the final battle.”

“For his safety, I think it’s better to leave him here, and there’s also Geralt, who, despite having royal blood, is after all an ordinary person…”

“No!”

The Witch frowned and said, “Geralt is very important, the final battle cannot do without him.”

“Oh…”

A trace of hesitation flashed across Azumani’s face.

“Fine, then, let’s leave one person behind.”

“Can we set off now?”

The Witch gazed at Azumani with a scrutinizing look.

“We can.”

Azumani pretended to casually glance over his student’s face, who slightly bowed his head, as if he understood the meaning in his eyes.

“Be careful here on your own.”

“Don’t wander around.”

Azumani naturally couldn’t simply trust Roger’s one-sided words, but he thought more deeply and made corresponding preparations.

He was very cautious, but the one thing he had not considered was Roger’s identity, whether a stranger or a townsman, which was crucial.

As they ascended the steps, Roger noticed that the Witch was leading them in a different direction. His gaze flickered, but he said nothing, and soon they reached a bronze door.

“Here we are, everyone be careful.”

“The monster is still in its slumber, don’t rashly attack after we go in.”

The Witch cautioned, then stepped forward and pushed open the heavy bronze door.

Creak, creak, creak!

In the expansive hall, a huge flower bud was closed, the edges of the flower tinged with blood red, as if blood could seep out at any moment.

The air was also filled with a peculiar scent.

Boom!

The bronze door behind them suddenly shut, and at that moment, the always vigilant Witch finally let out a sigh of relief.

“Phew…”

“We’re finally inside.”

She turned around, looking relaxed as she faced everyone.

“For the next 100 years, no one will disturb me again until I break that woman’s spell and turn the entire kingdom into my backyard.”

“You are definitely up to something!”

Azumani scoffed coldly, “What exactly are you?”

“An evil Witch?”

As he spoke, his gaze shifted lightly, “Or part of this monster?”

“Haha.”

“What do you think?”

The lines on the Witch’s face softened, and her entire being underwent a remarkable transformation, still the same features but now somehow more seductive.

Her lips were as bright as rose petals, she twisted her body, as if even the wide robe could not cover her supple form.

“Whoosh!”

The dirty robe on her was taken off, and the Witch completely exposed her body to everyone’s eyes.

Roger was slightly taken aback, and at that moment, he finally knew where that woman had hidden the stick she rode on.

Above her chest and below her knees, she looked not much different from an ordinary human female, but the middle part was not human at all, rather a twisted and thick tree trunk.

And the stick she had been riding on was part of her body.

“Good,” although it was a bit different from what he had imagined, inexplicably, Roger felt a sense of relief.

“I’ve gone to great lengths to deal with you damned intruders,” said the Witch, her eyes flashing with malevolence.

“Huh!” Azumani sneered.

“Even if I’m not sure of your identity, did you think I came unprepared?”
