Demon Hunter and His Cabin
Chapter 361 - Chapter 361 Chapter 361 Witch

Chapter 361: Chapter 361: Witch Chapter 361: Chapter 361: Witch “This must be the legendary Sleeping Valley,” Azumani said, stroking his beard with a look of excitement.

“This… This is my palace?”

Roger’s eyes widened, a hint of perfectly timed shock and greed flitting across them.

Of course, no one paid any attention to his words.

Next to them were houses and streets, completely covered by vegetation and no longer recognizable.

Roger carefully followed behind the three, with no intention of moving forward. Azumani was aware of Roger’s importance and did not mind, also reminding Steve to protect Roger well.

Whoosh!

Just then, a whistling sound came from the sky as a figure in a black robe soared toward the palace above.

The figure was extremely fast, and everyone could only vaguely see that it seemed to be riding something.

Only Roger narrowed his eyes slightly, taking aback.

Even without using Hunter Vision, his dynamic capture ability was much stronger than that of an ordinary Transcendent. In that brief glimpse, he still made out the black shadow in the sky.

“A woman?”

“Riding a stick?”

Cough cough, of course, this was definitely not sweeping.

The shadow moved swiftly, but in the next second, her entire body seemed to hit an invisible barrier.

The barrier indented inward and then rebounded the Witch’s body at high speed, catapulting her into the air.

Yet, upon reaching a certain height, there seemed to be another barrier in the sky.

Back and forth it went.

When the Witch in the sky finally stabilized her figure, she was disheveled and slightly in disarray.

“Riding that stick around, having fun?” said Roger as he watched coldly from the side; he was now an important figure.

Seeing an unknown character appear in the sky, Azumani and the others grew tense, surrounding Roger to protect him and watching the figure in the sky with caution.

“Did you just enter this place?”

“Another bunch of fools after the legend of Sleeping Valley.”

The woman’s disheveled appearance made her face hard to see, and her laughter was shrill and brief, reminiscent of nails scratching against glass.

“And what about you? What are you then?”

Evelyn retorted without holding back.

“Young and impetuous girl.”

The Witch flew around in the sky on her broomstick.

“Look at the clothes you’re wearing. As a woman, I’m embarrassed for you!”

“Why don’t you just etch the word ‘whore’ onto your face, it’s disgusting. It’s women like you who should be tied to the stake and burned alive in front of everyone.”

This guy… Roger blinked; in the real world, Evelyn’s attire would at best be considered slightly revealing.

But if it were the 17th or 18th-century Europe.

Well… It’s nearly no different than being completely undressed.

“Madam, you seem to have run into a bit of trouble, perhaps we can talk this over,” said Azumani, still displaying his signature kind smile, “We are in the same boat here, after all. By understanding each other, we can work together to solve the problem at hand.”

“Ho ho.”

“A hypocritical old lecher.”

The Witch cackled strangely mid-air. She took a deep breath, and her voice became very odd, “You have each other’s scent on you, haven’t wronged you there, old man.”

“You don’t even spare young girls, you really are all the same.”

Roger arched an eyebrow and immediately grasped the implication in the witch’s words, couldn’t help but glance at Evelyn and Azumani.

Although there was no fluctuation visible on Azumani’s face, Evelyn clearly wasn’t as composed, the slight tension at the corner of her eyes betrayed her inner thoughts.

“Tsk tsk, quite interesting,” he remarked.

“Shut up, you vicious witch!”

Steve obviously couldn’t tolerate the witch slandering his goddess and couldn’t help but rebuke her angrily.

“Steve.”

Azumani uttered sharply, raising his staff and striking the ground forcefully with it, causing all the surrounding plants to stir restlessly, a flash of light crossing his eyes.

“Respectable lady, we have already shown our sincerity, I hope you won’t go too far,” he said.

“Hmph,” the witch let out a cold laugh, but her attitude softened a lot immediately after. She descended from the sky, her wide black robe billowing before she landed, standing under a large tree not far from the group.

Roger blinked.

Where had that thick stick gone?

Hehe, the power of magic truly is miraculous.

The woman gathered her messy hair, and unexpectedly, she had a face that was quite bearable to look at – dirty, with large eyes, her skin somewhat dark but seemingly healthy.

Honestly speaking, if it weren’t for the prior exchange and looking solely at appearances, this woman would score at least a seventy.

Seizing the opportunity, Roger scrutinized the woman before him; her robe was filthy, covered with black spots, and its original color was indiscernible.

“Could this woman be the owner of Candy House?” he mused.

“My name is Azumani, and the ones beside me are my disciples. We came here unintentionally…”

“A lecherous old man full of lies,” the woman rudely interrupted Azumani.

“To a place like Sleeping Valley, you would not find yourself here if you weren’t seeking it intentionally. Even if you tried for a hundred years, you wouldn’t come here by chance.”

Exposed, Azumani showed no sign of embarrassment. His thick-skinned demeanor was akin to a city wall; such minor turbulence did not concern him at all.

“Whatever your reason for coming here, I think you’ve been duped. This is a dead end; enter, and you won’t be able to leave,” he reasoned.

“You might want to try, but the path you took to get here is completely sealed off,” she explained with a sigh.

“If we want to leave this place, our only option is to try our luck in the palace in front of us,” she conceded.

“But you obviously failed,” Azumani spread his hands.

“The palace’s main entrance is guarded by powerful monsters, and even if the monsters are defeated, without a key, I can’t get in,” he said.

“If you plan to fly over it, then I think you shouldn’t bother trying.”

“That’s the situation at hand. Do you have a better suggestion?” he asked.

After hearing her words, Azumani didn’t immediately answer. “We need to understand the situation, maybe try to assess the strength of the guardian monsters.”

“Alone, you couldn’t do it, but with a few of us, maybe the situation will be different,” he suggested.

The witch crossed her arms, “Suit yourself,” she said.

“But remember one thing.”

The witch cautioned everyone as she looked at them.

“Do not attack the plants here.”

“Because they are all alive,” she warned.

“Just like people.”
