Demon Hunter and His Cabin -
Chapter 348 - Chapter 348 Chapter 348 Dream Trials
Chapter 348: Chapter 348: Dream Trials Chapter 348: Chapter 348: Dream Trials Having left the sanatorium, Roger went straight to the Round Table Knights’ archives in Dublin.
Using the badge given to him by Grace, he easily entered the public area and spent the entire afternoon poring over all the information related to the Lietta Family.
As he had guessed, the Lietta Family had indeed declined rapidly due to some incident, and thereafter, the last Duchess married one of the Green brothers.
The family surname was discontinued, and even the manor was handed over for management.
After that, the manor changed hands several times. During this period, some had lived in the manor, but eventually moved out for various reasons.
Until it was recently bought by Dilio.
“It seems the Round Table Knights must have completely given up on that place,” Roger murmured.
Assured of this, Roger felt at ease.
Frankly, he didn’t have many better options at the moment.
If he hadn’t found a new suitable house for assimilation after accumulating a number of Cursed Items, then he would just have to go through with it, eyes closed.
Although he had discovered some things, Roger still hadn’t clarified what exactly had happened to Anna back then.
From the hints given by the mask, it seemed very likely that Anna was a High Tier of the Blood Clan.
“Was it after marrying into the Green family, or was she attacked by an evil force at her death, which caused her transformation into a Vampire and then led to her dismemberment and sealing?”
Regarding this matter, either Anna must recover her memory completely, or he could only ask the leader of the Round Table Knights of that time.
Leaving the library, Roger headed straight back to the manor.
To his surprise, the manor was eerily quiet.
According to Henrik’s intention, he believed Dilio had hosted parties too frequently and adjustments were necessary.
On this matter, Roger naturally had no say; having made up his mind, he no longer hesitated.
Opening the Shadow Gate, he began the assimilation process.
“The third Hunter’s Cabin is generating…”
“Possessing three Hunter’s Cabins simultaneously, affinity and interconnectedness are enhanced.”
As he pondered the meaning behind this new hint, Roger’s body suddenly swayed, his breathing became rapid.
His chest heaved, and his heart pounded fiercely.
But then, he felt a special connection forming between himself and the house beneath his feet.
This feeling was marvelous.
It was as though a sword had appeared in his hand, and he could even sense the other two cabins, even the Mist Hut that was located in a Different Space.
Back in the Misty World, it was this kind of ethereal connection that allowed Roger to determine his direction and find a way out.
Now, the connection was deeper than before.
Not just in feeling,
But also in power.
At the moment when the third Hunter’s Cabin took shape, the connection with the three cabins instantly elevated Roger’s spiritual power to a new level.
In his mind, Ouroboros spun wildly.
One, two, three, four…
Five!
A full five connected Ouroboros were circling together.
Quinn, Alder, Igni, Axis, and the last, Aden.
Between each Ouroboros, there was a faint connection, but at this moment, that ethereal connection was severed.
The five Ouroboros twisted into separate shapes.
His spiritual power continued to grow.
The hints given on the announcement board let Roger know that his Myriad Snakes Meditation Technique had entered the final stage of Tier Two, just a little shy of complete mastery.
The Mental Dharma Seal formed by the Ouroboros in his mind started to realign itself.
The Quinn Dharma Seal was positioned in the top-left corner, and the Alder Dharma Seal was in the top-right corner, with both echoing each other and forming symmetrical antlers.
The Igni Dharma Seal was positioned in the bottom-left corner, and the Axis Dharma Seal was in the bottom-right corner.
The completely symmetrical Aden Dharma Seal was situated in the center.
As the final positions took shape and echoed each other from afar, new connections were forged, and the 5 points united into a larger Dharma Seal.
Visually, this newly-formed symbol was identical to the shape of the Aden Dharma Seal, a simple hourglass.
What was special, though, was that within the hourglass’s 5 points were embedded 5 separate Dharma Seals!
In the moment the massive pattern formed, the connection between the 5 Mental Nodes was maximized.
Even without personally testing it, Roger knew that no matter which Dharma Seal he activated, a continuous stream of spiritual power would flow from the other 4 Mental Nodes within the Ouroboros.
While not 100% output, compared to before, the strength of every single Dharma Seal had at least doubled!
If he used Quinn or Alder, the increase would be even greater.
Because these two Dharma Seals were structurally identical!
“It looks like at this stage, the power of the Dharma Seals has completely surpassed swordsmanship.”
It was an inevitable outcome, as the entire Dream Trials focused on spiritual enhancement, which in turn indirectly increased the strength of the Dharma Seals.
Perhaps in the next stage, there would be a corresponding change.
When everything calmed down, Roger concentrated, sensing the changes deep within his brain, where the original image of the Ouroboros had vanished.
An hourglass-shaped pattern, comprising 5 Mental Points, rotated slowly in his mind, ready to quickly activate any Dharma Seal at will.
The speed of casting was several times faster than before, which could be lethal in close-range combat.
According to Roger’s estimation, his current Quinn Dharma Seal should now be able to effortlessly block small-caliber bullets, and offer some degree of defense against rifles.
Of course, this was a general assertion. With Roger’s current perception and physical condition, an ordinary person with a gun would have no chance of hitting him.
Having assimilated the third Hunter’s Cabin, Roger took a significant step forward in strength, nearly securing his footing in the Third Tier.
According to Roger’s estimation, after completing this stage, he should be able to officially start the real Dream Trials.
Without checking the assimilated cabin’s attributes, Roger directly found information related to the trial.
“Young Demon Hunter, you have successfully completed the preparatory phase of the Dream Trials. Your 5 Mental Dharma Seals are operating normally, and your Myriad Snakes Meditation Technique is complete.”
[Dream Trials]
Dreams are an extension of reality, a fascinating product of the spirit’s movement–reality and dreams, body and spirit.
Reality influences dreams, while dreams reflect reality.
The body nourishes the spirit, and the spirit feeds back to the body.
Green Grass is the body’s breakthrough, and dreams are the extension of the spirit.
Dream Meditation Technique.
Roger slowly browsed through, his expression growing increasingly astonished as he quickly grasped the theory and effects.
The entire Dream Trials were designed for the enhancement of spiritual power, but that didn’t mean the trials neglected the body.
During the Green Grass Trial, Demon Hunters had already broken through bodily limitations, and continuing upwards, the effectiveness of traditional physical training had become negligible.
The Dream Meditation Technique was about reversing the relationship between spirit and body, using the spirit’s higher malleability and upper limit to influence the body in reality.
In other words, during this stage, Roger didn’t need any physical training at all. He could devote all his effort to improving his spiritual power.
Then, after reaching a certain stage, he could use Potions to spread this influence to his body!
Killing two birds with one stone.
Until his spiritual power reached the current stage’s peak.
