Demon Hunter and His Cabin
Chapter 337 - Chapter 337 Chapter 337 The Faceless

Chapter 337: Chapter 337: The Faceless Chapter 337: Chapter 337: The Faceless The scene before him sparked a flurry of spiritual light in Roger’s mind, but before he had time to ponder further, the woman wearing the Stone Mask had already raised her hand to attack Roger.

The woman’s body floated in midair without moving, but her arm suddenly grew nearly 5 meters long.

Roger looked closely and saw that it wasn’t the woman’s arm that was getting longer and thinner; rather, the entire arm, from shoulder to fingertip, unwrapped layer by layer like a twisting, turning ribbon!

There were no bones, no muscles.

Beneath the skin, it seemed to be completely hollow.

Roger had never seen such a bizarre creature before; she was like a person formed from layers and layers of bandages.

Only, every edge of the bandages bristled with sharp spikes!

Clang clang clang!

Roger raised his hand to block.

It was just a casual strike, but the force transmitted through the blade caused Roger’s expression to change dramatically.

The power displayed by Dilio after the transformation was much stronger than before, and Roger, bursting forth with all his strength, almost failed to suppress the oncoming force.

As his body became covered with a white network, all his latent potential was activated, Roger was just thinking of retreating.

But he saw the woman’s other arm swinging over, unwinding like a bandage as well.

The two arms crisscrossed, their edges trembling like rapidly spinning chainsaws!

In the blink of an eye, they sealed off all of Roger’s room for evasion.

“What kind of monster is this?”

The woman’s figure was graceful, but Roger was in no mood to admire it at the moment, even wary that her chest might suddenly explode.

Based on that scale, it could at least form a special “tentacle” nearly two meters in length.

Roger fought as he retreated.

But he soon discovered that this woman was more troublesome than Dilio.

A wider range of blockade, stronger power, a body that was almost impossible to hurt, and an unpredictable method of attack!

It was as if countless people were controlling her body all at once; this was far from a simple matter of splitting one’s focus in two.

It was more like splitting one’s focus into three, or ten!

“She’s this strong? Could it be that after transforming, she’s already on par with the Full Moon level?!”

Roger was extremely thankful that he had just grasped the bear’s secret technique, giving him a deeper understanding of suppression through swordsmanship.

In order to avoid giving the opponent an opportunity due to the large flaws in his slashing movements, Roger had no choice but to frequently utilise the piercing strikes of Viper Swordsmanship.

Under continuous pressure, Roger felt his swordsmanship improve by leaps and bounds.

“No bloodline abilities, purely relying on physical prowess and swordsmanship; I haven’t encountered such an enemy in a long time.”

A voice echoed in his mind.

As Roger pondered his strategy, he was startled by the voice that suddenly came from his mind, but then that familiar feeling made his heart stir.

He raised his head, looked at the faceless face, and a name flashed through his mind which he couldn’t help but blurt out.

“The Faceless?!”

After the name was spoken, the movements of the woman who was attacking ferociously also paused slightly, and then the flailing arms retracted as she fell from midair.

She cocked her head to the side and scrutinized Roger carefully.

“Who are you?”

“To know my name.”

Roger hesitated for a moment, but still replied, “White Wolf.”

The woman’s face was entirely a mask carved from stone, so Roger couldn’t guess her emotions, but he could infer a hint of surprise from her voice.

“You’re still alive?”

She suddenly thought of something.

“Then Dickinson?”

“I killed him!”

“You do have that kind of strength.”

The Faceless spoke calmly.

She stood still without moving, but when she spoke again, it was as though she knew everything.

“So that’s how it is, you came here just to investigate the materials in the mansion and took an interest in one of the masks.”

“We are of the same kind; there is indeed no need for us to battle to the death.”

“That guy Dilio …”

She waved her hand, and the surroundings returned to normal, and Roger found himself back in the familiar hall.

“What kind of ability is this?”

He couldn’t help but ask, as this transformation of the scene was clearly not something that could be easily explained by simple Illusion Techniques.

“Just a little trinket.”

The Faceless obviously did not want to elaborate.

“Come with me.”

Following the stairs, Roger and The Faceless arrived on the third floor of the mansion. Seeing the familiar modern equipment, Roger couldn’t tell if it was illusion or reality.

“Dilio is too impulsive, always causing me a lot of trouble, each time requiring me to intervene to resolve it.”

The Faceless remarked offhandedly.

Opening a door on the third floor, they walked in, and on the walls of the room hung densely-packed masks.

The Faceless walked ahead and asked softly, “What kind of woman do you like?”

Roger controlled his wandering eyes, unsure whether reminding her to put on clothes at this time was out of malice or goodwill.

“Forget it, as long as she’s happy.”

Roger thought to himself randomly but did not answer The Faceless’s question, and The Faceless didn’t mind either, casually taking a mask off the wall.

“Thud!”

The heavy Stone Mask hit the ground, and after a light cracking sound, The Faceless turned around with a delicate new face on her cheeks.

Delicate eyebrows, pale blue pupils, a small nose slightly upturned, with a touch of mischief and cuteness.

Her red lips were slightly pouted, and her pale face was dotted with a few freckles. Roger was slightly taken aback when he saw this face.

In an instant, it reminded him of the first time he saw Amanda.

Although their appearances were entirely different, that youthful and spirited aura was identical. This woman indeed had a knack for understanding people’s hearts.

“What exactly is your relationship with Dilio?” Roger ventured to ask.

“He is me, and I am him,” The Faceless replied.

“I’m not sure which race you belonged to before you came to this world?”

“I may have joined the Foreign Spirit Assembly, but honestly, I came to this world because I was ousted by the rules.”

“From body to soul, I am a complete Otherworldly Visitor.”

“In our race, there is no clear gender distinction, being two-sided, dual-gendered, and as for the specifics of the transformation process, I think you’ve experienced it well enough.”

Roger nodded; honestly, he did not want to witness such scenes a second time.

“My female side is stronger in battle, while my male side is comparatively weaker. Although our memories are shared, we have completely different ways of thinking when dealing with the same problems.”

Intentionally or not, The Faceless seemed utterly oblivious to her lack of clothing as she casually took a seat, gesturing for Roger to join her.

“I am not the same as Dilio. We truly don’t need to conflict, and perhaps we could have a good talk with each other.”

“After all, the chances of us meeting in the real world are incredibly low.”

The Faceless leaned slightly forward.

“Mutual benefit.”

Roger’s cheek twitched, unsure if The Faceless’s words contained any suggestive undertones given her state.

Ordinary peaches could be nice to try occasionally.

But ones with teeth…

Well, forget it.
