Chapter 336 - Chapter 336 Chapter 336 Secret Technique and Her

Chapter 336: Chapter 336: Secret Technique and Her Chapter 336: Chapter 336: Secret Technique and Her Thud!

Once more, a collision without any finesse–just brute force against brute force.

Dilio was once again overwhelmed by Roger, his swiftly moving body shoved aside, crashing with a loud bang against the wall behind him.

Roger frowned.

That guy was actually quite tricky to deal with, his speed was incredibly fast, and even though Roger was stronger than him by a notch, facing such a frequency of attacks made it difficult to avoid getting hurt.

Roger did not believe Dilio was bluffing–the red glow at the tips of his gloves exuded a sinister aura. Even though it didn’t touch him, Roger could sense the terror within it.

In the repeated collisions, the Cursed Sword clashed with the red substance at the tips of Dilio’s gloves, and even the sharpness of the Cursed Sword could not shatter it.

Its solidity was evident.

More importantly, the black mist on the blade dissipated to varying degrees with each collision–obviously, Dilio’s gloves were absorbing it.

Although superficially refined, Dilio attacked like a mad dog, as if he had endless stamina, committing every ounce of his energy to each strike.

Roger seemed to have the upper hand, but the guy’s speed was too fast, making it difficult for Roger to find an opportunity to severely wound him.

Of the several Dharma Seals he now controlled, both Igni and Alder required a certain amount of time to activate.

Quinn was for defense, and as for the recently mastered Axis, Roger had yet to find a good opportunity to deploy it.

What also struck him as odd was the room around him.

The wall that Dilio had just smashed into had returned to normal in no time.

He always felt that the space he was in was like a living being, possessing the ability to self-repair.

“I hold no malice towards you,”

Roger said softly while searching for Dilio’s whereabouts.

He had to keep the Quinn Dharma Seal activated at all times, and beyond that, his mind needed to be highly focused.

“I don’t belong to the Round Table Knight Order, and I’m not interested in whatever it is you’re up to here. I just want to understand the history of this manor.”

“Moreover, that mask, even if it might not be what I need, I might be inclined to trade something else for it if you’re willing,”

Roger sounded sincerely interested.

But what he got in return was Dilio’s relentless assault.

Real combat is not as simple as in games where levels enforce a hierarchy.

Strength, speed, skill, environment.

Too many factors can influence the outcome of a battle; of this, Roger was well aware.

Although there is an absolute difference in energy between different levels, to take it lightly would be fatal in the end.

Nuclear bombs can kill, bullets can kill.

And so can toothpicks.

Just as Roger was considering whether to lure the enemy deeper to seize an opportunity to finish off Dilio in one fell swoop.

His vision blurred, and when he regained his senses, the scenery around him had changed suddenly.

The old room was gone.

What appeared before Roger was a forest.

“What’s happened?”

The breeze brushed his face; he took a deep breath and could even smell the scent of earth and grass.

“Since I can’t outpace him, I’ll have to change my approach,”

Roger gripped his sword with both hands, positioning it vertically in front of him.

The aura emanating from him gradually grew more profound, as under the enhancement of the Sword Heart, his understanding of swordsmanship was constantly evolving.

Lately, he had indeed relied too heavily on the Quinn Dharma Seal for perceiving his environment, which in turn made his own responsiveness to attacks somewhat dulled.

When he suddenly changed his sword stance, his aura perfectly merged with the Dharma Seal.

The underbrush and woodland obscured Roger’s view, indeed favoring Dilio’s approach to attack.

Suddenly Roger made a forward rush, followed by a sideways move and a slashing strike.

Thud!

Dilio appeared out of nowhere, his body moving at high speed, and in the next second, a ferocious force bore down; Roger was relentless.

After one swing came another.

Strength, speed, and angle were all impeccable.

The continuous sword techniques were like a tide, and Dilio wanted to escape, but Roger simply didn’t give him any chance to catch his breath.

This feeling of having every sword stroke under control stimulated Roger’s nerves, and a barrier in his mind gradually became transparent.

Roger finally understood that although the core of Black Bear Swordsmanship was strength, it wasn’t the explosive brute force felt under normal circumstances.

Instead, this strength referred to momentum–the power of breath and movement woven into a solid sword net from multiple angles, forming an impenetrable sense of oppression.

And this strength was the essence of the bear’s secret technique.

[Heavy]

The force of Heavy, the momentum of Heavy.

When the overwhelming pressure exploded at the last moment, the secret technique Heavy could shatter everything!

Quick and slow, motion and stillness.

At that moment, Roger gained a new insight.

As the final blow was about to bisect Dilio, Roger twisted his sword’s edge and swept it horizontally.

Crack!

He slapped Dilio in the face with his sword.

“Hand me that mask, and we can have a proper talk,” he said.

But in the next second, Dilio’s entire face shattered like porcelain.

Among the flying shards, Roger saw beneath Dilio’s face, layer upon layer of dense, sharp teeth!

“What the hell is this?” he exclaimed.

The next second, the stacked sharp teeth suddenly opened, and Dilio’s entire head gaped open like a beast’s mouth, biting towards Roger!

Shifting his footing, Roger retreated rapidly backward, but at this time, starting from the head, Dilio’s body oddly stretched longer and longer.

The numerous sharp teeth writhed, and Roger couldn’t even see the end of each row of teeth.

The endless teeth twisted Dilio’s body, and when Roger had moved back by over a dozen meters, what he saw was a flesh pillar over 5 meters long, completely covered in revolving sharp teeth!

Moreover, the teeth on the flesh pillar rotated like gears, grinding furiously towards Roger.

Setting aside the power of Dilio’s transformation, merely the sight of it was enough to send shivers down one’s spine.

“Some weird bug or an alien?” he wondered.

The Igni Dharma Seal in his mind flared brightly, and faced with the gushing flames, for some reason, Dilio didn’t continue the assault.

Just as Roger hesitated, he saw the tip of the flesh pillar continue to revolve.

The next second, a sunken, faceless head emerged from it.

This scene instantly reminded Roger of the statues he had seen at the manor’s fountain entrance.

“So those statues depicted him!” Roger realized.

As the body continued to twist, the torso beneath the head gradually took shape, but just as Roger was about to attack with his sword, he saw the towering chest and the slender waist beneath the head.

And below the abdomen…

“What the fuck?!” Roger’s eyes widened in shock.

“Dilio is actually a woman?” he blurted out.

“No, not right!” he quickly corrected himself.

With his head full of confusion, Roger recalled the entire process of Dilio’s transformation, his whole being seemed to have been turned inside out from the head.

“His other side?” he pondered, a realization dawning on him.

Just then, a pleasant voice asked, “Is there an enemy?”

The voice was somewhat groggy as if having just woken from a deep sleep and was taking control of the body again.

Following the voice, the owner stretched out a hand, and a layer was shaved off a rock on the ground, which turned into a delicate mask by the time it reached the woman’s hand.

The mask had no facial features.

The woman lifted her hand and pressed the featureless mask to her faceless face.
