Chapter 82: Listing Thoughts

Hello, everyone. I am Yiwei Crab.

Now it’s time for another book to go live, and as usual, it’s time to share some thoughts.

Firstly, I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to all the readers and my editor, the great Juzi, for your support of this book.

The rest of my thoughts are divided into two parts: one is about the plot of this book, and the other is about updates after the launch.

Regarding the plot, when I first started writing this book, I actually thought that such a niche subject probably wouldn’t attract many readers. It was more about writing something I myself would enjoy, which is quite different from my previous works. Fisher was originally designed to be a female professor. I wanted to write yuri, but after some thought, I found it too strange and gave up the idea.

In terms of the story, the pace has slowed down a bit in this volume, but every scene is meaningful, there’s no fluff, and these small details and foreshadowing, I hope, will be interesting for everyone. Next, after Renie leaves, the entire city of Saint Nali will become the stage for the Son of the Sea, who is the female lead. I will spare no effort in depicting her image, including the many interesting ocean demi-human settings I’ve devised for her background.

Then, there’s the issue of the supporting female characters. Of course, I won’t write toxic plot points, "send-to-death" kind. The question is only their screen time and endings, which really depends on their popularity—I’ve written too much. However, these characters appearing in the cast list means there will be a lot of plots related to them later on, and their character images will also gradually flesh out, including people like Elizabeth, Isabella, and Alagina.

Lastly, the underlying theme of this book is "A Paper of Guilt," and those Doomsday figures will inevitably reappear. The only difference is how Fisher will intervene in what they ultimately become. This question will be answered when Rafael makes his reappearance. Moreover, the world view of this universe is vast, and there are still many hidden things not yet revealed, which will be slowly developed later.

That’s pretty much all to say about the storyline. Subsequent Chapters will follow the update rhythm as before—I think this rhythm is very appropriate, and it doesn’t give me too much headache. Usually, I follow my outline and world view, but if I get new inspiration, I’ll add some new plot points. So please look forward to it, dear readers.

If you have any comments or suggestions, feel free to post book reviews, or you can @ me in the book club group. I often lurk in the group to peek at reader opinions (not really), so I can see all your thoughts.

Now, let’s talk about the update schedule after launching. Tomorrow will definitely be a burst of updates, with no delays. We’ll start from noon with five to seven updates throughout the day. If we don’t hit seven, the rest will be made up the day after tomorrow or the day after that.

After going live, there will be at least two updates daily. Sometimes when I’m free, there will be more, with each Chapter being around 3,000 words.

I am also a part-time author, so I can’t be involved in writing all day, so I ask for your understanding. If you want more updates, it’s probably going to depend on tipping, sorry about that.

As you all have noticed, I’ve updated this book with 320,000 words for free, 320,000 words in 40 days—I feel I’ve done my best to ensure the updates, even if something delays an update, I will top it off with a saved draft.

So, I hope everyone can understand. On Monday, we’ll have a reverse launch, with probably more than thirty Chapters; those who have read them, please be careful not to subscribe again to avoid spending more than necessary.

Lastly, I hope those who can afford it will continue to support the official version. Writing is not easy, and writing this book was to hopefully end up with a book that scores really high—division push, website main push, and finally reaching Three Rivers are milestones I’ve never reached before. I still want to strive for this book to be a premium one, and I hope everyone will continue to support me.

I still hope to see your comments in the upcoming Chapters, and I am incredibly grateful for reading my work.

That’s all!
