Chapter 248: 104. Pink Hall’s flyer_3

Hmm, Renie didn’t need to make clothes for herself, she’d do fine with normal human ones, even though she’d been pestering him to make her some... He’d wait till she got back to do that, but it was only now, when suddenly making clothes for Moli, that Fisher remembered this matter.

"Hold this measuring tape, I’ll take your measurements, it’s a good change of pace from the magic work, and it’ll save you from having to go out in your nightgown or... a shirt."

Moli blushed, obediently stood up, and raised her arms to let Fisher go about his work, her ears flapping back and forth.

But looking at the fabric laid out on the table by Fisher, she was still surprised that Fisher, a Nali Gentleman, could actually make clothes. In Moli’s memory, the only ones who made clothes in the sea were the Jellyfish Species living far above the Great Sea Vortex. So she asked,

"Does Mr. Fischer also make clothes?"

"Yep, I used to make money from it when I was a child."

Church School taught many children how to make a living, with activities like sewing, cooking, and also more advanced arts like painting and playing instruments. However, the art teaching there was very poor, barely scratching the surface. Fisher’s music and painting were studied and perfected at the Royal College.

This was because not every child could end up reading books, having a basic skill could provide them an extra means to survive, saving them from starvation.

The eager-to-learn Fisher picked up some not-bad sewing and painting skills there, but Fisher wasn’t all-powerful; he just couldn’t learn to cook. At his pinnacle, he almost poisoned both himself and Trandell.

Oh, it should be mentioned that the teacher for sewing and drawing was the nun with a very large chest, which particularly piqued Fisher’s interest in learning, and he picked it up very well.

The person teaching cooking was a very old nun, and Fisher wasn’t willing to ask for the Mother Goddess’s forgiveness for the sin of slaughtering chickens or picking cabbages before doing it, so he basically learned nothing and eventually gave up entirely.

After getting the measurements, Fisher turned around to sit at his workbench and sketched the basic pattern for a dress. He’d start working on it in a little while.

Fisher planned to get all the necessary preparations done in the next two days. If he waited much longer, the Nali Officials might not find anyone, and who knows if Blake would continue looking for Moli and take action. He needed to get ahead and take the initiative before him.

He checked the pattern, pausing for a second or two when drawing the chest fabric, and although it already looked quite... exaggerated visually, seeing the numbers still felt quite frightening.

Turning his head to look at Moli behind him, he saw her sitting up straight, obediently letting Fisher take her in, thinking there might be more measurements to take, but Fisher just shook his head and told her to relax.

In front of Fisher, Moli for some reason had this unique sense of obedience, looking shy and timid, far from her image as a "royal" of the Whale-man Species in the ocean, which Fisher found quite endearing.

"Alright, I’ll go sew this up, and the finished product should be ready by tomorrow afternoon, I guess."

"Thank you... Mr. Fischer..."

Moli’s voice trailed off mid-sentence because suddenly Lady Martha knocked on Fisher’s door from outside, startling Moli into thinking she might have been exposed. Panic almost made her shrink away, and she quickly covered her mouth and blinked at Fisher.

Fisher pointed to the washroom, signaling her to hide there, and then he opened the door. There was Lady Martha, holding a folded piece of paper and wearing a peculiar expression.

"Fisher, this is... um, some service leaflet you ordered? A staff member just delivered it."

Staff member? Service leaflet?

What was that?

Fisher took the paper from Martha’s hand, only to find it covered in images of curvy women and eye-catching artistic fonts, throwing seductive glances and stimulating messages at the readers.

"Special promotions from Pink Hall, special discounts on drinks and Ladies this Saturday~ Only at Pink Hall."

Fisher covered the image of the curvy women with his hand, trying to hide the information written in delicate script above it.

This was Anna’s method of contacting him; sometimes Pink Hall would send such promotional papers to regular clients and hotels, advertising their deals or introducing new girls.

Anna’s way of passing along information was very discreet and... quite distinctive.

As Fisher looked up, he saw Martha, who had turned to leave, now opening her mouth before quietly coming back to whisper,

"Listen, Fisher. I know you have certain needs at your age, but you must never visit that kind of place again..."

"I haven’t gone, just..."

"Don’t even think about it, Renie would be heartbroken!"

"I understand."

Fisher couldn’t help but laugh and cry, interrupting Martha before she could continue urging him to hurry up and have babies, and quickly closed the door to avoid further bombardment.

Hearing the door shut, Moli stuck her little head out from the washroom and peered at Fisher outside and the paper in his hand.

Fisher set the paper aside, not letting her see the provocative photo in his hand to avoid corrupting her. He was reflecting on the message from Anna, which read,

"The day after tomorrow, meet at Miao Cemetery at 8 p.m., information will be in hand tomorrow."

So soon?

She could secure the information he needed in just a day and a half?

Regardless, he was prepared to attend the meeting at the cemetery but would be cautious of any traps that might be set.

Miao Cemetery was a public graveyard near the suburbs where many citizens buried their loved ones’ ashes, and it was very quiet there, making it suitable for private meetings at night...

Fisher had a plan in mind and quietly crumpled the Pink Hall flyer into a ball, ready to burn it later when he returned. He instructed Moli to stay in the room for a while and then prepared to go downstairs to make her clothes.
