Chapter 186: 80. Slander_2

Was this her own ability, or one shared by the Whale-man species?

The extent of this recovery could rival the Healing Magic between Four Ring and Five Ring, but could this method also restore more serious injuries?

Noticing that Fisher was looking at her with confusion, Moli hastened to explain,

"I... I can grant others some Life Energy, which can speed up the healing of Mr. Fischer’s injuries..."

"Thank you."

After thanking Moli, Fisher kept this question in mind, planning to seek answers later.

He turned his head to look at the now quiet surroundings, unsure where those terrifying creatures had run off to. Ever since Moli, resembling a Deep Sea Giant Beast, had crashed down from the fourth floor, the monsters around had temporarily vanished.

Following the original plan, Mr. Fisher was preparing to go down to the first floor to meet with the others, as plotting an escape required everyone to be together.

Walking with Moli trailing behind, Fisher noticed that, despite having legs, she walked quite awkwardly, even needing to look down at the ground, muttering "one, two, one, two" to herself as she went. At this pace, Fisher had no idea when they would reach the bottom.

When Fisher turned back to look at her, she embarrassingly turned towards the wall, attempting to deflect attention from her awkward gait with an adorably confused act.

Because in the sea... one doesn’t need to walk. She had only started practicing after coming ashore less than half a year ago, and compared to other Whale-men, Moli was already quite the proficient "walking apprentice."

Yet, when she had charged down earlier, her speed had been unimaginably fast. Fisher wondered what state she was in at the time and decided to ask her,

"Your state just now was quite strange, as if you had become a totally different person. What happened?"

Fisher recalled a peculiar mental illness he had come across in the Nali Psychiatric Hospital, where the afflicted seemed to harbor two distinct personalities within one body, with vastly different characters and habits contending in their narrow corporeal confines—a condition that seemed to be known as "Personality Splitting Disorder."

He suspected that Moli might suffer from this illness, prompting his inquiry for clarity.

Indeed, given the stern disposition of that "second personality" Moli had demonstrated, Fisher felt it was crucial to reassess his study of her to prevent unforeseen incidents.

"I... I was out looking for Mr. Fischer, but then I got frightened by those ugly monsters outside, and that’s why I attacked them... And it was too dark out, I thought Mr. Fischer was one of those monsters too..."

Hearing Moli’s explanation, Fisher was at a loss, dark lines forming on his face. Although he understood she meant she had seen through a "red haze," did he really resemble those hideous monsters that closely?

"So you mean to say, you were conscious at that time?"

"...Yes, when I get scared, I will... behave like that."

Behind him, that small animal-like voice chimed in. Fisher and Moli had reached the spot Moli had come from; they observed the walls, cracked and marred as if crushed by some immense force. Had he not witnessed her in action, Fisher would never have believed that the petite girl could possess such strength.

Could it be that all demi-humans were these kinds of supermodels?

No, that’s not right. Fisher recalled witnessing this peculiar condition only in Rafael... And Rafael was supposed to be the Red Dragon Queen mentioned in the Doomsday Prophecy...

So, was it possible that Moli was the Mysterious Sea Child from the prophecy?

With this thought in mind, Fisher turned to look at Moli with an inscrutable gaze. Mistaking his intent, thinking he might have been frightened by her, Moli hastily tried to explain,

"I... Our state is somewhat special during combat; I’m not like this normally..."

"No, it’s okay."

Far from being okay, according to Rafael’s pattern, the Doomsday in the Doomsday Prophecy should all be that very special individual within their own group.

For example, Rafael and those close to his age, such as Kexier and Fasher, have combat abilities that are light years apart. In Fisher’s eyes, she was like a humanoid steam engine, with her battles against others only described as ’overwhelmingly powerful.’

Fisher still didn’t know about the situation with other Whale-man Species, but if Moli was indeed special, then it was highly likely she was the "Son of the Sea" he was looking for.

Just as they were preparing to move downstairs, the building began to tremble again. Outside the window, countless monsters, akin to cockroaches and bugs, began moving, startling Moli once more,

"Mr. Fischer, they’re coming again..."

"Don’t worry."

Fearing that she might enter her Battle State again, Fisher had to speak up to soothe her, but he fell into contemplation as he looked at the relentless stream of monsters outside.

Since just a while ago, they’d run from the fourth floor to the first and then back up from the first to the fourth. Along the way, they had repelled so many waves of these monsters; he estimated they had killed hundreds, but now these endless creatures began to appear again, as if there was no end.

At first, Fisher thought the puppet master behind the scenes had really killed so many people to create "Human Worms," but now he considered the possibility that the monsters they had just killed hadn’t truly died. Upon being killed, they might immediately resuscitate, and that place of resurrection should be where this tremendous Super Ring Space Magic was engraved.

With this in mind, Fisher looked back at Moli and noticed that given her current state, she might be very slow. He was also worried that if she entered that Battle State, she’d lose control, cause a commotion, and if she rushed in front of all those people, it would be impossible for him to conceal the fact that she was a demi-human, even if he wanted to.

Her tail and ears were so peculiar, emitting a faint glow in the dark; those people weren’t blind and would definitely recognize Moli as a demi-human.

So he made a swift decision, he reached out and grabbed her hand, and immediately, he felt her soft, slightly damp hand.

Moli, with a flushed face, looked at Fisher standing before her, who, with a calm expression, said looking downwards,

"Follow me. Don’t fight, so that others won’t know you are a demi-human... Is there a way for you to turn back into a human?"

"Water... If I can touch water, then I can contact Lord Ramasitia."

Upon hearing the term "Ramasitia," Fisher glanced at her, then nodded and said,

"Alright, let’s go to the first-floor washroom first, and after you change back, we’ll go meet with them."

"Okay!"

Moli, seeing Fisher holding her left hand, decided to clear the messy thoughts from her mind. She had just felt flustered because Mr. Fischer held her hand, but now she realized she was overthinking.

Moli, oh Moli, at times of such danger, how can you let yourself think of these things?

Moreover, Mr. Fischer was clearly a very outstanding and serious gentleman, not some strange bad guy... Although he was friendly to demi-humans, he should be like other humans and not feel affection for demi-humans...

Moli, oh Moli, you were simply slandering Mr. Fischer in your mind. You can’t do this anymore.

In her eyes, Fischer still had a halo around him, his image as holy as a sage from legends...

However, Fischer was unaware of her thoughts. He handed the Handcane, which was glowing, back to Moli, but what no one noticed was that when Moli took it over, a deep purple Light Halo faintly twinkled on it, as if conveying some message to someone else.

Fischer looked towards the stairwell below, took a deep breath, lifted the Ramasitia Fluid Sword in his hand, and prepared to meet up with the others.
