Chapter 568: Chapter 276 I Don’t Need A Dog Like You!_1

The train station was in disarray, with blood on the ground, various discarded items, and waiting room seats knocked askew, but there were no bodies — presumably, they had all turned into zombies and run away.

By the time everyone entered the waiting hall, they found that there were already quite a few people there.

Some sat waiting for trains, while others, out of boredom, scavenged through the luggage like rag-pickers, but even if they found money, it was useless since it could not be spent once taken out.

"It’s that Jiuzhou Man!"

These God Hunters saw Lin Baici and recalled his performance on the train earlier; they all nodded and smiled in greeting.

A few socially aggressive types even came over to make conversation.

"Don’t worry, we’ve tried it, zombies won’t enter this station!"

"Which station is your ticket for?"

"Hanyang? Why not choose Silla?"

Lin Baici responded perfunctorily to these people while taking stock of the surroundings, with people streaming in from time to time.

"Quite a number of people here!"

Hua Yue Yu was surprised, this was very different from what she had expected — she thought they were among the first to arrive.

"Those zombies pose a great threat to ordinary people, but God Hunters won’t be afraid of them. As long as they don’t get surrounded and caught in continuous combat, there are basically no major problems!"

Xia Hongyao found a seat and sat down.

As she pondered how many here had tickets for the ’Hanyang Station,’ another large group walked in.

It was the Statue of Liberty, led by Jie Susi!

Their gaze landed on Lin Baici instantly, filled with hostility despite saying nothing.

The God Hunters who were talking to Lin Baici quickly left upon seeing this, not wanting to get caught in the crossfire, as the Statue of Liberty was a force they could not afford to provoke.

Soon after, people from Nine Dragons Hall and Thousand Snows also arrived.

Everybody knew that boarding the train was the only way to reach God’s Ruins and staying in this city was purely a waste of time, so they had stayed up all night fighting zombies to get enough tickets.

Factions like the Statue of Liberty even secured tickets for several stations at once, planning to choose based on the specific circumstances.

"The current time: 11 AM sharp!"

In the hall, an announcement would play every hour on the dot, in Goryeo language.

Lin Baici took out his ticket to check – there were 20 minutes left before departure.

"Leader, something’s not right!"

Gu Qingqiu spoke softly, eyeing the gates.

"What did you find?"

Hua Yue Yu immediately tensed up, knowing her fellow alumnus, Little White, to be highly intelligent and observant.

"So far, I haven’t heard any boarding announcements. We couldn’t possibly be on the first train of the morning, could we?"

Gu Qingqiu watched the other God Hunters; a few had serious expressions and were huddled in discussion, some even went through the gates to check the platform, their boarding time was supposed to be earlier.

Upon hearing this, Lin Baici’s brow furrowed. Could it be that getting a ticket wasn’t sufficient for boarding, and there were other conditions? He called out, "What time are your tickets for?"

Everyone looked over but didn’t engage, as after all, they were competitors.

"No one’s time has come?"

It seemed like he might be overthinking it. Just as Gu Qingqiu was about to relax, a man wearing a leather hat raised his hand.

"We’re going to ’Daxing’, the 10:35 train, but there has been no announcement for the train’s arrival so far. I just went to check, and there’s no train on the platform."

After the man in the hat finished speaking, Jie Susi cursed.

"FUCK, why didn’t you say earlier?"

Jie Susi thought that the train being off schedule could indicate a rule contamination outburst.

The man in the hat hung his head, not responding — he certainly wouldn’t say that, first of all, it was pointless to speak up because everyone was a competitor and likely wouldn’t be of help.

Moreover, if the man in the hat couldn’t find an answer, wouldn’t it just indicate that he was weak? Then, if others find an opportunity, they’d surely take a bite.

In God’s Ruins, the weak are lambs, prey!

As the man in the hat saw it, if the train didn’t come, the worst-case scenario was to go out and get another ticket, given that the zombies were not hard to kill.

"Do you feel anything uncomfortable with your body?"

Lin Baici inquired, observing these few people.

"Don’t bother looking, they’ve started to decay. If they can’t board the train to God’s ruins within 24 hours, they’ll become a pile of rotten flesh!"

The Eater God commented.

Lin Baici glanced at his watch. His Hanyang train was set to depart at 11:20 AM, and there was less than 15 minutes left. If he couldn’t find a way to board, he would be delayed.

Then to go buy a new ticket would be rather troublesome since it would be limited to trains within the next 24 hours.

The man in the hat touched his body: "My stomach seems to hurt a bit?"

"Big guy, don’t scare us!"

"It’s just a missed train, it shouldn’t be a problem, right?"

"I feel like I’m starting to stink, like a can of sardines!"

"Shit, I think I’m starting to stink too!"

The God Hunters who missed the train began to panic.

"What are you waiting for? Search the entire station!"

Jie Susi bellowed.

Everyone began to move because if the answer couldn’t be found, they wouldn’t be able to board, and they’d eventually start to stink.

Gu Qingqiu looked at Quan Sangin, "Aren’t you going to say something?"

"Lin Baici, do you owe me a favor this time?"

Quan Sangin didn’t take the opportunity to demand compensation, because he and the others were on the same train as Lin Baici. When the train arrived, he wouldn’t be able to stop Lin Baici anyway; it was better to simply press this Jiuzhou Man a bit.

As for the favor, it didn’t matter whether the other party acknowledged it or not; he had already put pressure on him.

"Young man, the world is vast. Don’t be too arrogant!"

Choi Sunsil lectured.

Of course, they knew how to board the train, Jin Xian had informed them beforehand.

"Do you think I have no options?"

Lin Baici chuckled.

"You have 11 minutes left. If you can find the answer, I will follow your lead in the actions to come!"

Quan Sangin scoffed, jokingly thinking, do you really believe you’re a Dragon Level big shot?

Moreover, even Dragon Level individuals might not solve this rule contamination in 11 minutes.

"I don’t need a dog like you!"

Having said that, Lin Baici turned and left.

"Xiba!"

"If it weren’t for needing to take a train together, I really want to see these people rot to death!"

"I really want to kill him!"

Hearing Lin Baici’s disagreeable and cocky words, Kim Jinsoo and his group immediately started cursing, but soon they didn’t have the leisure for that as Jie Susi’s group approached.

"Hey, tell me the answer!"

Jie Susi nodded at Quan Sangin with an air that said, ’Be smart and speak up quickly.’

"What answer?"

Quan Sangin put on a bewildered expression.

"Stop pretending! You’re with that Jiuzhou Man, right? If you didn’t know the answer, how could you sit so calmly? You would have gone to search the station for clues by now!"

Jie Susi understood human nature. He hadn’t heard the conversation between Lin Baici and Quan Sangin, but he saw that Quan Sangin hadn’t moved.

That was not normal.

Unless he was absolutely certain.

"My train is at 11:20. If I still don’t have the answer by then, I’ll kill all of you first!"

Jie Susi threatened.
