Chapter 1352: Chapter 590: Oh no, they’ve risen violently; I’ve seen the moving corpses!

"Mountain Chicken, Shoes, get over here and help!"

Durian Too Expensive hammered away at Brother Kun’s head while shouting loudly.

Instant Noodles was pressed against Brother Kun, preventing him from moving, and called out to Lin Baici for help: "Big Cousin, give us a hand?"

Brother Kun was struggling violently and had tremendous strength.

Durian Too Expensive and Instant Noodles were almost unable to pin him down.

"Mountain Chicken, Shoes, are you guys still brothers or not?"

Rage flared in Durian Too Expensive’s heart like a fire raging upwards. Seeing that he couldn’t convince them, he shouted to the rest of the group, "Some of you, come and help!"

No one moved.

"Not going to help, huh?"

Durian Too Expensive gritted his teeth and yelled at Instant Noodles, "I’ll count to three, and then we’ll let go together!"

"We’ll die together if that’s what it takes!"

These words from Durian Too Expensive made everyone’s faces change.

"Are you f***ing insane?"

"That’s your Brother Kun, not mine!"

"Try letting go, and I’ll beat the shit out of you first!"

The group erupted into curses, refusing to help.

Durian Too Expensive was not exactly someone with public spirit to begin with. Given the circumstances, why would he shoulder it alone? He immediately started counting.

"Holy s***, you’re serious about this?"

Zheng Yu Huang glanced at Lin Baici. "What should we do?"

"Then we die together. Doesn’t bother me!"

Lin Baici only wanted to know how long these people could hold out.

Bang bang! Bang bang!

More knocking sounds came.

Lin Baici walked over and pulled out the morgue drawer.

Clank!

The sharp screech of metal rubbing against metal suddenly rang out, startling everyone.

They stared at Lin Baici calmly undoing the corpse bag, momentarily speechless.

Truly fearless to the extreme.

But this guy had character; he was a good person. At any rate, if it were them, they’d never risk releasing a living corpse to save someone else.

Lin Baici’s rescue was purely convenient, because according to the Eater God’s teachings, living corpses had to be dealt with properly to lose their threat.

Inside the corpse bag was Laughing Buddha, the young streamer from Shark Station.

"Big Sweet Sister?"

Laughing Buddha immediately spotted Big Sweet Sister.

"It was Big Cousin who saved you!"

Big Sweet Sister gave Laughing Buddha a meaningful look. Their private interactions were decent, so Big Sweet Sister didn’t want Laughing Buddha to slight Lin Baici.

Laughing Buddha, the sharp-witted type, caught on instantly and flashed Lin Baici an ingratiating smile. "Thank you, Big Cousin!"

His eyes darted toward Durian Too Expensive’s direction, seeing the blood-soaked Brother Kun. He jumped in fright, wanting to ask what was going on, but then saw Durian Too Expensive and Instant Noodles let go of Brother Kun.

"Ah!"

"You’ve gone mad!"

"Are you f***ing stupid?"

The crowd screamed and cursed.

Brother Kun staggered and lunged after Durian Too Expensive.

"What’s happening now?"

Laughing Buddha looked baffled, then glanced down at the thing beneath him...

Damn!

This was a morgue drawer?

"Big Cousin!"

Tang Keke and Peanut Butter panicked.

Lin Baici glanced at Brother Kun and continued opening the cold storage drawers.

He could hear more noises.

Brother Kun, stumbling and slow, failed to catch anyone. When he approached Lin Baici’s group and saw them standing still, Brother Kun, now a living corpse, bared his rotting teeth and charged at them.

"What do we do?"

Zheng Yu Huang asked anxiously.

Lin Baici gave no response. When Brother Kun drew close, he abruptly yanked open the cold storage drawer.

The sliding mechanism shot out, slamming into Brother Kun’s chest.

Thump!

Brother Kun was sent sprawling.

Lin Baici walked over and stomped on his face.

Once! Twice! Thrice!

Bam! Bam! Bam!

Brother Kun’s eyes burst from the pressure, blood splattering everywhere.

The group stood frozen with fear. They thought Lin Baici was brutal earlier when he slapped Batugel, but this... this was his true form.

Though Brother Kun seemed already dead, this level of torture...

Utterly horrifying!

Gulp!

Batugel swallowed hard.

Terror-stricken!

Big Sweet Sister, quick-thinking as always, ran over with a corpse bag in hand.

Lin Baici pinned Brother Kun’s face under his left foot, bent down, and twisted one of his wildly flailing arms.

Crack!

Bone snapped, rotating a full 360 degrees.

"Let me help!"

Zheng Yu Huang, aware that Lin Baici could handle it alone, still chose to assist.

Batugel joined in as well, holding down Brother Kun’s legs.

Seeing this, Lin Baici stopped and let them handle the task.

Batugel secured Brother Kun, stuffed him into the corpse bag, and threw it back into the cold storage. Only after sealing the unit did they let out a breath of relief.

Lin Baici set free the person in another corpse bag,

It was a young woman,

unknown to anyone.

"You’d better thank Big Cousin on the spot!"

Batugel widened his ox-like eyes.

"Huh?"

The young woman was startled.

"It was Big Cousin who saved you!"

Batugel clarified.

Lin Baici didn’t care about thanks and walked over to the next drawer emitting knocking sounds.

"Mountain Chicken, Shoes, you’ve let me down!"

Durian Too Expensive clutched his wound and lambasted them violently.

"Don’t point fingers—we’re all as bad as each other!"

Mountain Chicken retorted.

"I’m sorry, just leave me alone!"

Shoes hugged his head, distancing himself from the pair of them.

Brother Kun, who’d been bitten by a living corpse, revived and turned into a monster. Then wouldn’t Durian and Instant Noodles, having been bitten by Brother Kun, face the same end?

Some quick-minded individuals realized this and backed away, though most were oblivious.

This time, Lin Baici pulled out a living corpse.

A male one!

Highly decayed too.

Batugel and Zheng Yu Huang scrambled backward while Lin Baici swung his fist.

Bam!

The male living corpse smacked to the ground.

Lin Baici grabbed some rope and began punching—no, beating the living corpse. Tying, bagging, and stuffing it back into the drawer...

The whole process was fluid and effortless, without a shred of panic. In fact, it was so calm, so composed, it carried an almost elegant grace.
