Chapter 1280: Chapter 572: Great God Lin, Fame Spreads!_5

Since the loot was to be distributed by the team, they decided who would get what by rolling dice.

An eyeball that increases attack speed, a piece of leather armor, and a dagger.

Bai Yutang was the first to roll and chose to pass on everything.

"Great God, you pick first!"

"Right, right, the Great God goes first!"

"I’ve played RPG games before, but this time it’s the most thrilling!"

The other three players only hesitated for a second before they, too, chose to pass.

"Then I won’t be polite!"

Lin Baici contributed the most to the fight, so it’s only fair he gets first pick, and he chose the red werewolf eyeball.

Being able to increase attack speed means that, in the same amount of time, physical classes can deal more damage with skills and basic attacks,

The cheers from Lin Baici and his group even caught the attention of the players downstairs, who boldly came up to see Red Eye’s corpse.

"You killed it?"

"What abilities did this monster have?"

"What did it drop?"

The players were curious.

"It’s all thanks to the Great God’s awesomeness; we’re just hanging around!"

Bai Yutang knew how to please people and was eagerly praising Lin Baici.

"Great God, I’ll offer fifty silver coins if you take me through this quest!"

A Mage asked for help.

"I’ll also give fifty!"

"I’ll give one Gold Coin!"

"Whoa, does it need to be this competitive? I only have just over forty silvers!"

"Broke losers, clear off and don’t waste the Great God’s time!"

The players crowded around.

They were all here for the rare equipment rewards; getting one would be a significant boost, helping them to level up faster.

"After completing this quest, you get five Gold Coins, and you dare offer such measly sums to hire the Great God?"

Bai Yutang scoffed, "In my opinion, you should directly offer five Gold Coins to the Great God. After all, you’ll no longer be at a loss once you get the rare weapons."

The crowd fell silent, the sum was indeed substantial, making everyone feel the pinch.

"You can’t bear it? Think about your ranking on the achievements board, the chances of being randomly wiped out—does five Gold Coins still seem expensive?"

Bai Yutang was diligently trying to make money for Lin Baici, hoping to gain favor from the Great God.

"Alright, I’ll pay five Gold Coins!"

It was the same Mage who was the first to speak, quite boldly.

Seeing this, two other players also spoke up.

"We still need a Priest!"

The Mage furrowed his brow.

"No need, I’ll help."

The Priest raised his hand, finding it thrilling to fight monsters with Lin Baici and eager for another go: "No need to pay!"

Everyone else was green with envy, as Lin Da Hungry Man made a clear profit of 15 Gold Coins just from fighting Red Eye once.

Striking it rich!

"No point, a waste of time!"

Lin Baici was not in the mood to wait for Werewolf to respawn. He neatly left the party and bid farewell to the temporary teammates: "Goodbye, everyone!"

As they watched Lin Baici leave, the players were dumbfounded.

"Not interested in making money, how capricious is that?"

"That’s 15 Gold Coins there!"

"The Great God is indeed unique and stands alone."

The players discussed among themselves.

"The Great God’s skills are incredible, and he’s got guts too!"

The Priest remarked.

"I get the feeling if he wasn’t in a team, he’d probably try to solo!"

Bai Yutang could tell, aside from the Priest, Lin Baici didn’t really care what classes the other three were or how much damage they could do.

Lin Baici had farmed Fishmen and accumulated quite a bit of Gold, so he wasn’t in great need of Gold Coins at the moment.

He returned to Flash Gold Town, handed in the quest to the sheriff, and received five Gold Coins and a rare blue axe which, unfortunately, wasn’t as good as the Fishman Scimitar and thus not useful to him.

Entering the Lion King Tavern once again, Lin Baici counted around five players.

He figured there wouldn’t be a time when it was empty, so he approached the wine ghost and before the latter could say anything, the wine ghost had already initiated a friendly gesture.

"Buy me a drink, and I’ll tell you about my adventures in my younger days!"

"Sure thing!"

Lin Baici smiled: "Order whatever you’d like, it’s on you!"

"Lady Boss, bring us a jug of the Dwarven Kingdom’s barley milk brew!"

The wine ghost called out.

The Lady Boss quickly brought over a jug of the alcoholic beverage, and the wine ghost guzzled down most of it, then started bragging about his adventures in the Dwarven Kingdom.

He boasted for ten minutes.

Lin Baici was getting impatient.

"Out of booze!"

The wine ghost shook the empty jug.

"You can order more!"

Lin Baici smiled.

"You’re such a good guy!"

The wine ghost was happy and called out to the Lady Boss: "Another jug!"

"Young man, don’t keep buying him drinks, he’s just a conman!"

After serving the next round, the Lady Boss took a moment to advise Lin Baici.

When the wine ghost finished his third jug of drink and was about to ask for more, a player named ’I Love Sister-in-law’ spoke up.

"Are you rich or just love burning money? You might as well give it to me!"

Lin Baici ignored him and waited until after twenty minutes, when the wine ghost had finished five jugs of drink and then collapsed on the table, snoring away.

"Idiot!"

I Love Sister-in-law laughed heartily.

Lin Baici cast him a glance.

"What are you trying to do? This is a safe zone!"

I Love Sister-in-law was a bit panicked, mainly because Lin Baici’s equipment looked too formidable.

"Dare you not leave!"

Lin Baici chuckled: "Anyway, I’m at a higher level than you. By dawn, when the rankings come out, you might just bottom out and get wiped off. Haha."

I Love Sister-in-law’s heart skipped a beat, worried that Lin Baici would actually block him, so he left the team, gave up on fighting Red Eye, and hastily left the tavern.

"Who else wants to mock me?"

Lin Baici surveyed the room.

Not wanting to provoke Lin Baici, all the players left the tavern.

Lin Baici turned back to look at the wine ghost, who was fast asleep, and slapped him on the head.

The wine ghost woke up.

Smack!

Lin Baici slapped a Gold Coin on the table: "Keep drinking, I’ve still got money!"

"Burp!"
