Chapter 1061: Chapter 502: Pseudo-God Number 156

Rustle rustle!

Li Chenguang plummeted from the sky, crashing into the forest.

The dense branches and leaves tore his red down jacket, sending white feathers flying chaotically like those of a duck felled mid-flight.

Although the tree branches provided some obstruction, Li Chenguang’s descent was too rapid, offering no slowing effect, and so he smashed headfirst into the ground.

Thud!

Li Chenguang burst open upon impact like a water-filled balloon dropped from a ten-story building onto concrete, scattering into gruesome pieces.

Swoosh!

Blood and gore splattered radially, even bursting through his down jacket, leaving his body as pulverized as a tomato crushed under a giant’s foot.

"This guy must’ve jumped before the chimes sounded, right?"

Zhang Hao’s body quivered. Although accustomed to slaughter, this death, so close at hand, was still frightening.

It was the visual horror that was truly terrifying.

"Avoid this area!"

Lin Baici urgently called out to Zhang Hao, urging her to move quickly.

Zhang Hao thought Lin Baici was being overly cautious. Although the down-jacketed youth had behaved oddly atop the tower, he now lay destroyed beyond repair, bones exposed, dead beyond any doubt. What harm could he still do?

Caw caw!

The crow that had been flying towards them, unsure if it sensed danger or was simply startled by Li Chenguang, suddenly alighted atop a large tree.

Its golden flames receded, revealing black feathers once more. It pecked its wings with its beak before turning its gaze to Li Chenguang lying on the ground.

Zhang Hao ran, leaping to stride over Li Chenguang’s body, but mid-jump, the corpse on the ground suddenly burst upwards, a bloodied arm reaching out.

Snap!

Li Chenguang seized Zhang Hao’s ankle, then swung her down towards the ground like a whip.

"What?"

Zhang Hao was taken aback.

What was this guy’s deal?

Had he been contaminated by God’s bones and turned into a Dead Flesh Man?

But even Dead Flesh Men weren’t like this, were they?

As Zhang Hao’s thoughts raced, she twisted her body with the force of her waist as she landed, like a crocodile executing a death roll while hunting.

A regular God Hunter would either release their grip or suffer a twisted arm, but Li Chenguang’s fleshless right hand, spun three times, still hadn’t let go of Zhang Hao.

He pulled Zhang Hao towards him and sent his left fist rocketing forward.

Whoosh!

The air tore with a piercing boom due to the speed of the punch.

"This is bad!"

Zhang Hao’s face tensed, unable to counterattack with her ankle caught, she crossed her arms, bracing to absorb the blow head-on.

She had mentally prepared for a broken bone, but just then a green light streaked towards them, swooshing as it pierced through the back of Li Chenguang’s neck, through his throat.

Swoosh!

Lin Baici teleported next to Li Chenguang, wielding a Plumber’s Wrench, and smashed it onto his head.

Thud!

Li Chenguang fell to the ground.

"Let’s go!"

Lin Baici grabbed Zhang Hao and dashed away, simultaneously reaching back and unleashing a Divine Power-formed hand that grabbed hold of the Paramour Pliers around Li Chenguang’s neck.

Death’s Grip!

Swoosh!

Lin Baici yanked the pliers back to him.

"What the hell is that thing?"

Zhang Hao looked back.

She saw Li Chenguang, with a pierced throat, stand up, one eyeball burst and the other dangled by nerves and muscles at the corner of his mouth.

On many parts of its body, one could see exposed muscles and snapped bones.

Without Zhang Hao noticing any action, the bits of flesh and blood that had splattered on the dirt, leaves, and weeds began to flow back towards Li Chenguang, reintegrating into his body.

In less than half a minute, most of Li Chenguang’s body had reformed.

He stuffed his eyeball back into the socket but didn’t chase after Zhang Hao and Lin Baici; instead, he fixed his attention on the crow.

Li thought, hands in his pockets, fell from the sky in a casual upright stance, then, just about a foot from the ground, abruptly stopped.

Snap!

Li thought landed, looked around, and shook his head helplessly.

"Can’t you be obedient?"

Having this thing was like dealing with a stupid dog, too much hassle.

But now that he was here, things were finally concluding.

"I definitely need a good vacation after this mission!"

Li thought looked at the crow perched on the branch and snapped his fingers.

Snap!

Begin!

Li Chenguang, who had looked utterly vacant, suddenly, as if receiving a command, lunged at the crow.

Caw caw!

The crow shot out, its body igniting in golden flames from its feet to its head, like a meteor, streaking towards Li Chenguang.

Boom!

The crow pierced through Li Chenguang’s chest, but he didn’t perish; he spun around, grasping with a large hand.

Snap!

The crow was caught, and the next instant, Li Chenguang’s right hand ignited, the flames spreading along his arm, enveloping his entire body.

Boom!

Li Chenguang, like a lit torch, blazed conspicuously in the dimly lit forest where sunlight could not penetrate.

Whoosh!

Li thought whistled.

That crow was fierce!

But Li thought wasn’t worried; identifier 156 should be able to handle it.

Li Chenguang was not the name of the man in the down jacket but rather belonged to Li thought’s cousin. The youth before them was known within the organization as 156.

He liked to daydream, to be alone.

Identifier 156, fully ablaze, wasn’t killed by the fire. Despite his burnt flesh emitting an awful scent, he remained silent, no screams or moans escaping him.

Beneath the flames, his expression remained blank.
