Chapter 4782: Chapter 3855: The School Doctor’s "Daily Routine" (33)

Shiller’s next plan was, of course, to kidnap a few of them, then have the Night Owl report to the Supreme Mage, lure Strange here for a fight, and then pretend to be injured, making Night Owl fetch herbs to heal his wounds, thus stalling him for a longer time.

Although he currently couldn’t communicate with the main-universe Batman, not even with eye contact, he instinctively felt that the main-universe Batman should understand what he meant.

Shiller opened his mouth, just about to speak, when he heard a voice suddenly coming from behind him: "What’s going on? Why are you all here?"

A few Batmans looked towards the direction of the voice, and a small black figure flew over.

"Oh my God, you wouldn’t believe how messy that bird’s nest is. He and his wife had four babies at once, I almost got squeezed to death. If I hadn’t run fast, they would’ve stuffed a worm into my mouth..."

It turned out to be Lego Batman. The main-universe Batman felt slightly relieved. He didn’t intend to harm Lego Batman, so he had only called for an ordinary bald eagle. Besides, Lego Batman was made of plastic and the predator probably wouldn’t be able to eat him; Lego Batman knew magic, and aside from possibly panicking a bit at first, a spell would quickly set him free without any harm.

But he came at a bad time. The main-universe Batman still wanted to see how Shiller performed.

Just as he thought this, Shiller pointed a finger, and Lego Batman plummeted with a thunk. The main-universe Batman stepped forward to pick him up and found his eyes had become an "X", and his tongue was sticking out. He seemed to have fainted.

The main-universe Batman sighed in relief: Thankfully, Shiller reacted quickly. If Lego Batman kept clamoring a few more sentences, the atmosphere would be ruined.

Shiller opened his mouth again to deliver his lines but saw a familiar figure in the path that Batman and the others came from. Bruce was flying over, flapping his wings.

"What are you guys doing here?" Bruce stopped in mid-air, first glancing at the Batman below, then his gaze landed on Shiller.

Fortunately, Bruce’s psychoanalysis isn’t great, nor does he have telepathy, and Shiller, with his grey mist, can’t have his identity seen through by Bruce.

"Who are you?" Bruce asked in some surprise.

"Go find the Supreme Mage," the main-universe Batman said, "Quickly, Bruce, you might not be his match."

Under the hood, Shiller widened his eyes at the main-universe Batman: Are you desperately hoping he comes to fight me?!

"I’m not his match?! Let’s see about that!" Bruce rolled up his sleeves and went at it.

Shiller didn’t let his guard down either. Bruce, at the very least, is an angel, and he hadn’t forgotten his current persona: He couldn’t use mist-related special effects, and should use ash instead. Fortunately, the grey mist itself could take on countless forms, able to create any effect imaginable.

Bruce punched Shiller, only to find that it was just a charred phantom. A waft of ashes blew past, and a strong burnt smell filled the air.

Countless scattered ashes reformed into a human shape, and Shiller appeared behind Bruce, extending a hand. Everyone heard him muttering something. Instantly, many black and red portal-like things appeared in mid-air, with demonic hands, laden with roaring flames, stretching out from the ovals toward Bruce.

Holy light flashed on Bruce’s body, flashed again and again.

"What’s going on? Why aren’t these things from Hell afraid of the holy light?" Bruce frowned.

Shiller thought to himself: Of course, they’re not afraid, because they’re not from Hell, and in this universe, Hell doesn’t necessarily have to fear Heaven’s rules. Mephisto isn’t really afraid of angels; at most, he finds them troublesome and doesn’t want too much contact.

Bruce drew a sword with holy light, and with several rounds of Full Moon Slash, he severed all the hellish arms, then placed the sword vertically in front of him. More concentrated holy light began to emerge from his body.

On the surface, he appeared to be charging up a powerful move, but in reality, he was using the holy light to make a call for backup: "Lucifer! Lucifer, get over here quick! There’s a tricky situation at the Magic Forest!"

That’s right, Bruce was able to use holy light in the otherworld, not because the two universes’ power systems were interconnected—in fact, they’re not even connected, even if they share the same God, holy light is a different matter altogether.

He could use holy light purely because Lucifer was there too. Lucifer is like his giant power bank, and the holy light on him was summoned from Lucifer.

Shiller knew Bruce too well; seeing him like this, how could he not know what he was up to?

This disguise might fool Bruce but definitely can’t fool Lucifer. Although Lucifer might know they were filming, he doesn’t know the plot, and if he blurts out his real name when he arrives, it would all be over.

No way, he had to find a scapegoat.

Shiller didn’t stand on ceremony. Flames began to erupt violently from his body until the surrounding air was ignited. A massive magic array made of ash appeared beneath his feet, and he began to chant.

Though it looked cool on the outside, in reality, he was also making a call for reinforcements: "Mephisto! Mephisto, hurry up! It’s time to showcase your power as Hell’s Master! There are several Batmans here now, and Bruce intends to call Lucifer over for a fight. Don’t you want to show off a little in front of your future believers? Come quickly!"

Shiller especially reminded him: Don’t use your own skin; come over in your true form, and not the humanoid one, but the most terrifying, intimidating demonic form you have.

Lucifer and Mephisto, who received the call, were a bit bewildered: "What’s going on? What’s happening in the Magic Forest?"

However, both of them hurried over here. Lucifer was afraid something unexpected might happen—after all, he had brought them here and couldn’t let anything happen to them; Mephisto, on the other hand, was convinced by Shiller to come and show off his power in front of Batman.

Recently, he hadn’t given up on recruiting Batman, but most Batmans were like stones from a latrine: smelly and hard. He had a stomach full of anger, thinking, fine, you all look down on devils? Today I’ll show you how powerful a devil can be!

Mephisto intended to create a big spectacle, completely dismissing the small magic array Shiller created. He directly used Illusion Magic to conjure a city of molten fire: the ground of the Magic Forest cracked open, and countless eruptions of magma almost instantly turned the ground into charcoal. A giant demon’s shadow rose up from the fissures.

At this moment, Lucifer also flew over. This wasn’t his domain, so he didn’t have strong perception, combined with Illusion Magic being Mephisto the old trickster’s forte, even Lucifer was momentarily fooled.

Oh my God Jesus Adam Eve his second uncle! Lucifer was stunned, are the demons of this universe going insane?! Where are the angels, isn’t there an angel to manage this?!

Shiller had long slipped away while Mephisto was casting illusions. A few Batmans were a step too slow and couldn’t escape, so they had to hide behind a tree.

Mephisto intended to look cool, without even checking who it was, he lunged with a claw.

Lucifer was even more shocked: in thousands of years, this was the first person other than Michael who dared to hit him!

Lucifer wasn’t without temper. He instantly spread his wings, preparing his Morning Star Archangel skin, equipping the highest victory rate rune for the Fallen War—come fight!

By the time Strange arrived at the scene, the situation was already out of control. Both had gotten seriously fired up, with Divine Power and Hell Power dyeing half the sky red.

"I knew building the school next to Boston was a mistake!!!" Strange yelled furiously, "What are you doing! Stop fighting!"

In fact, had he studied with The Ancient One for a couple more days, he would understand: in such situations, shouting is useless, it’s better to just punch both sides into submission.

But unfortunately, his skill tree was crooked from the start, having learned none of The Ancient One’s trademark skills. His shout was met with a claw from Mephisto and a sword from Lucifer.

Though Lucifer and Mephisto’s fight was evenly matched, like Guan Yu fighting Qin Qiong. While Lucifer was powerful in his world, largely due to high authority, upon coming here he could still use Holy Light, but lacked the Power of Authority, reducing his strength considerably. As for Mephisto, despite not ranking as high, he was the local kingpin, backed by a Hell Dimension, making it hard to declare a winner at the moment.

It was actually Director Chris who managed to stop the two of them.

After discovering something going wrong in the Magic Forest, Director Chris hurried to the edge of the forest. Unable to tell it was Illusion Magic, he thought the Magic Forest was truly destroyed, so he shouted, "Prop team, prop team! Quickly, come over!! Protect the props!!"

This shout brought Mephisto back to his senses. Indeed, if they kept fighting and damaged the props in the Magic Forest, the movie couldn’t be released on schedule, and his fan-gaining plan would be indefinitely delayed.

He quickly withdrew his strength but still took a few hits from Lucifer. Lucifer also came to his senses, quickly checking if he was hurt anywhere.

The two of them saw Strange’s long face simultaneously.

"Ahem, I can explain," Mephisto said.

Lucifer was about to speak, then turned his head and saw a face identical to Shiller’s. Despite having been fighting Mephisto for so long, nothing had dealt him as much damage as this moment, and the dignified Lucifer Morningstar almost choked himself here.

"You you you you you..."

Mephisto suddenly remembered that he had never actually met Lucifer using this guise, but his knack for reading people was spot on. After staring at Lucifer for a while, he said, "What’s going on? You and Shiller..."

Mephisto’s face was full of "I don’t understand but I’m greatly shocked," exclaiming, "Your friends aren’t your current friends, yet they share the same face; is this what humans refer to as doppelgänger literature?!"

Lucifer lifted his sword and swung.

In the end, almost all the great mages arrived on scene, finally pulling the two apart. Fortunately, they had both restrained themselves, only damaging a small area, but it still required some time to repair, delaying the filming progress further.

Chris wasn’t too upset. He arrived quickly and witnessed the second half of the event. Taking advantage of Strange loudly berating Mephisto, he skillfully maneuvered through the crowd like an eel, reaching Lucifer and shaking his hand, looking at him with enthusiastic eyes, saying, "Hello, Mr. Angel, could I borrow a few minutes of your time?"

"Uh, what do you want?"

"May I have your esteemed name?"

"Lucifer Morningstar."

Chris took a sharp breath.

Then Lucifer watched as this human director shook his own hands firmly, looking back with immense enthusiasm, using a tone that seemed awfully familiar, "May I ask, are you willing to fight a second battle?!"
