Chapter 327: Chapter 327 : The Final Battle (5)

"Put a cloth in his mouth," Xie Jianshen ordered Head Servant Zhou. "I don’t want him to wake Little Yu up with his senseless screaming."

Head Servant Zhou moved quickly and efficiently. The moment Liu Wenyuan attempted to let out another piercing scream, the head servant promptly jammed a rolled piece of cloth into his mouth, effectively stifling his vocal cords.

Despite being rendered voiceless, Liu Wenyuan’s tears continued to flow freely, soaking the fabric that muffled his distress.

Xie Jianshen’s imposing figure loomed over Liu Wenyuan, casting a long, ominous shadow that stretched across the courtyard. The sight of Xie Jianshen kneeling before him, not as an act of supplication but as a prelude to an impending storm, sent a shiver down Liu Wenyuan’s spine.

Liu Wenyuan perceived Xie Jianshen not as a fellow omega but as an embodiment of retribution, a harbinger of doom.

Despite his broken arm, he still tried to crawl away with what remaining intact limbs he had. Xie Jianshen let him crawl for a few seconds before he gave chase. With a series of deliberate and calculated movements, Xie Jianshen raised his foot, aiming it directly at one of Liu Wenyuan’s thighs.

Xie Jianshen’s boot descended upon Liu Wenyuan like a hammer striking an anvil, the mighty blow sending a shockwave of pain reverberating through Liu Wenyuan’s body. The unrelenting force crushed the bones in Liu Wenyuan’s leg with a sickening crunch.

Liu Wenyuan’s stifled cry echoed through the courtyard, followed by a heart-wrenching sob that pierced the stillness of the air. His face contorted in agony, his eyes squeezed shut as tears continued streaming down his cheeks like two streams of a waterfall.

His silent plea for mercy failed to impress Xie Jianshen, who did not have a single drop of mercy left for the omega at his feet.

"Little Yu is a gentle soul, much like our mother," Xie Jianshen remarked. "I, thankfully, am not."

Xie Jianshen knelt on one knee next to Liu Wenyuan’s quivering body.

He grabbed the younger omega’s jaw and forced him to look up at him.

"You have perpetrated a series of unspeakable crimes against Little Yu. Tonight, I shall return the favors to you one by one, multiplied by a hundred."

Xie Jianshen’s eyes, like twin shards of ice, pierced through Liu Wenyuan’s heart, sending an icy chill that coursed through every fiber of his being. His gaze, sharp and predatory, held the weight of a thousand unspoken threats, each word dripping with venom that threatened to consume Liu Wenyuan’s very soul.

For the second time in his life -- the first time being when he was captured and dragged into the First Demon King’s palace in the Demonic Realm --, Liu Wenyuan tasted the paralyzing fear of death.

"Let’s go back in time and recount your sins, hm? Let me remember, it has been quite a long time ago."

Xie Jianshen furrowed his brows slightly as he tried to recall Liu Wenyuan’s earliest transgression against his beloved little brother. Once the memory resurfaced in his mind, a soft "Ah" slipped out of his lips.

Xie Jianshen subsequently drew a short blade from his waist.

In a single, fluid movement, his blade sliced across Liu Wenyuan’s right cheek, leaving a crimson trail that marred the omega’s delicate features

"MMMMFFFFF....!!!!"

A symphony of anguished groans escaped Liu Wenyuan’s lips as he writhed upon the unforgiving grass, his body a marionette controlled by the invisible strings of pain.

Xie Jianshen casually flicked the blood off the tip of his blade into the grass.

"Technically, your wolf cut four lines on Little Yu’s face and tore his arm open, so we are not done yet."

He approached the trembling omega on the grass languidly.

With a lot of effort, Liu Wenyuan spat out the gag in his mouth.

"Wait! PLEASE WAIT! It was not me who started it first! It was the Crown Prince who seduced my betrothed first!" Liu Wenyuan cried out in an attempt to defend himself.

"Heh."

A second slash followed, this time on the left cheek. Without a gag to muffle his voice, Liu Wenyuan howled in pain.

"Little Yu never seduced Zhang Fengxi. If anything, it was Zhang Fengxi who kept seeking Little Yu’s attention."

"Impossible!" Liu Wenyuan cried out in indignation. "Prince Fengxi loved me! If the Crown Prince was not there, he would have loved me forever!"

Xie Jianshen scoffed, his eyes flashing in disdain.

"Did your parents feed you a bowl of Delusional Potion every morning? Or did winning the Ethereal Beauty title go to your head? Zhang Fengxi stopped loving you because he found out about the rotten core beneath your beautiful facade. You have only yourself to blame."

"NO!" Liu Wenyuan shouted at the top of his lungs. "Liar! Liar! All of you are liars! The Crown Prince deserves to die for stealing Prince Fengxi from me! That child is supposed to be mine!"

Xie Jianshen rolled with his eyes.

"Heavens, I hate stupid omegas," he snapped.

The elder omega then pinned his prey to the ground and forcefully grabbed his chin again.

"Now, stop moving or I might just accidentally cut your eye or rip your mouth open. You don’t want a more hideous scar, do you?"

Just as Xie Jianshen was about to descend on Liu Wenyuan’s face with the short blade again, a shocked voice rang out behind him.

"Big Brother, what are you doing...?"

At the top of the short staircase that led to the front courtyard, Xie Jianyu stood frozen, his eyes wide with horror as he took in the macabre scene unfolding before him.

His elder brother was holding Liu Wenyuan captive, pinning the trembling omega to the unforgiving ground with his powerful legs.

His right hand was clutching a gleaming blade in a vice-like grip against Liu Wenyuan’s right cheek, its sharp edge glinting ominously in the moonlight.

With his other hand, Xie Jianshen was holding Liu Wenyuan’s chin in place, forcing the younger omega to gaze up at him with a mixture of fear and defiance.

That fleeting moment of distraction was all Liu Wenyuan needed. With a surge of adrenaline coursing through his veins, he wrenched his leg free from Xie Jianshen’s powerful grip. His foot lashed out like a whip, connecting with a resounding thud against Xie Jianshen’s stomach.

"Big Brother!"

Xie Jianyu hurried down the steps.

Before he reached his elder brother, a deafening explosion erupted, engulfing the courtyard in a suffocating cloud of black smoke.
