Chapter 131: Chapter 131 : Speaking About The Truth (2)

It was the biggest secret in the Heavenly Realm, and yet Liu Wenyuan said it out loud as if it weighed nothing. He smirked as he watched Xie Jianyu struggle to maintain a nonchalant expression while at the same time stifling the growing panic in his heart.

"No worries, Crown Prince, I have not told anyone."

"..."

Xie Jianyu remained silent. He neither confirmed nor denied it. It did not matter for Liu Wenyuan. He never expected Xie Jianyu to confess to him. The truth must speak for itself.

But now that the cat was out of the bag, it was easier for Liu Wenyuan to condemn Xie Jianyu.

"Now that I know your deepest secret, do you still need to pretend that nothing happened between you and my betrothed alpha?"

Xie Jianyu scoffed.

"If you distrust Zhang Fengxi that much, maybe you should confront him. Or better, make him sit in here with you and me to clarify these things."

Liu Wenyuan humphed.

"For what? For him to take your side, again and again?"

Take his side? When?

Xie Jianyu thought bitterly about the many times Zhang Fengxi spoke harshly to him for Liu Wenyuan’s sake.

Then again, Xie Jianyu was not interested in recounting the past. He was especially not interested in continuing this conversation with Liu Wenyuan.

Xie Jianyu rose to his feet.

"I trust that you have enlightened yourself by speaking your mind. We are done here."

Liu Wenyuan grabbed the end of Xie Jianyu’s robe.

"We are done when I say that we are done," he snarled.

Xie Jianyu took a deep breath. He pulled the hem of his robe free from Liu Wenyuan’s grip.

"Honestly, you need to have this conversation with Zhang Fengxi, not with me.

You and Zhang Fengxi are responsible for ironing out every misunderstanding and misconception before you get married. I cannot provide you with any help. My apologies."

"I want you to disappear from our life," Liu Wenyuan snapped. "Can you do that?"

Xie Jianyu flashed him a bitter smile.

"I never wanted to get involved in your life in the first place."

A cruel smile played around the corners of Liu Wenyuan’s mouth.

"Good," he said. "In that case, I shall apologize in advance, Your Majesty."

Xie Jianyu turned on his heels to look at Liu Wenyuan. He wanted to ask what the other omega meant, but his words were stuck in his throat when he witnessed the scene that unfolded before his eyes.

A dark aura oozed out of Liu Wenyuan’s body like smoke. It was not visible to human beings, but Xie Jianyu recognized the demonic aura at first glance.

"Prince Liu Wenyuan, are you colluding with the Demonic Realm???"

Xie Jianyu quickly unsheathed Winter Frost and summoned an ice shield to protect himself.

Xie Jianyu’s eyes were locked on Liu Wenyuan, who sat on his pillow motionlessly. He did not realize that the floor under his feet was slowly drowning in a similarly dark aura.

And then, a hole opened up and swallowed Xie Jianyu completely.

Xie Jianyu did not even get to scream before he fell into a dark abyss.

After claiming the Crown Prince, the hole in the floor abruptly closed down.

Liu Wenyuan shook a little as he rose to his feet and observed the floor.

Finally.

He had succeeded.

The promise he made to the First Demon King had finally been fulfilled.

He had finally sent the Golden Lotus to the Demonic Realm. With trembling hands, he unfurled the shawl that was wrapped around his neck.

He was unable to see his neck, but the suffocating sensation that tormented him for weeks was finally gone. The curse that the First Demon King placed on him finally disappeared.

Liu Wenyuan was so relieved that he began to cry. The tears simply could not stop flowing. After he was done crying, he wiped his tears away and dropped a few silver coins on the table to pay for the tea.

When he exited the tea house, Xie Jianyu’s heavenly steed neighed loudly, startling him. Liu Wenyuan turned around and stared at the mount in an aghast manner.

That’s right.

Xie Jianyu’s horse.

It looked like a normal horse.

Liu Wenyuan smiled to himself. He took a blade from inside his qiankun pouch and hid it in his sleeves.

"Poor horse," he cooed when he came close. He tried to caress the horse in order to placate and tame him, but Wangshu kept avoiding his touch. His big eyes stared at Liu Wenyuan full of suspicion.

Meanwhile, men started to come out of the tea house. Liu Wenyuan could not afford to waste more time to coax Wangshu.

"I am sorry," Liu Wenyuan whispered. Quick as lightning, he took out the hidden blade and stabbed it in Wangshu’s direction.

Wangshu’s eyes grew large. Before Liu Wenyuan sank the blade into his body, he raised one of his front legs and kicked Liu Wenyuan’s hand hard.

A cracking sound told Liu Wenyuan that his wrist was broken.

"Help!" Liu Wenyuan cried out in pain. "The horse is attacking me!"

The nearby men who were just chatting happily with each other after a fulfilling meal heard his cries for help. They quickly rushed over.

"Young man, are you alright?"

One of them helped Liu Wenyuan up.

"Oh, my. Your wrist..."

The others tried to calm Wangshu down. They tried to catch his reins, but Wangshu refused to quiet down. He kept trying to kick all those who tried to approach him.

"What’s with this horse... is it yours? WHOA!"

A pair of broad wings unfolded itself on Wangshu’s back. Wangshu tugged once at the rope that tied him to the tree and freed himself.

Under the stunned eyes of many human beings and Liu Wenyuan, Wangshu escaped and flew back to the Heavenly Realm.

Liu Wenyuan gritted his teeth.

Damn it, he cursed under his breath. He should have known that the prude Crown Prince could not possibly ride a normal horse even in the Human Realm.
