Chapter 125: Chapter 81: Taming the Chibi Little White Jiao (Part 2)

"It’s too late, Caihua Snake. Little girl, just follow the entire village of villagers into my belly," the Jiao Long emitted a piercingly strange laugh, its mouth only ten meters away from Xiao Xian, and at this moment, the Five-Colored Flower Python Hong Huai was still hundreds of meters away from Xiao Xian.

Xiao Xian, still braced against the tree stump, realized upon hearing that sentence that the cunning Water Jiao had already swallowed the whole village area into its stomach.

That Evil Flood Dragon had tried to harm her several times, it must be the Spiritual Energy she carried on her that attracted it. Her eyeballs whirled around, not only not intimidated but her figure agile as a swallow, shooting up into the sky, her hands forming a ring in front of her, and launched herself into the air.

"Little girl, come back, I promised Yezi that I must bring you back safe and sound," the Five-Colored Flower Python moved swiftly through the water.

"Gaga, after hundreds of years, hundreds of years before I found an immortal cultivator other than my master, and it’s a little girl, what a tender unripened skin," the Jiao Long saw her and did not dodge; it had just used Raising Wind and Cloud to swallow half of Leigong Mountain, and right now it felt too full and lazy to move. Seeing Xiao Xian presenting herself, it just opened its mouth wide, ready to swallow her in one gulp, the foul breath it exhaled was nauseating.

"Sugarcane seedling, time to eat." Xiao Xian shouted loudly.

Right after her shout, a miracle happened, the dark clouds over Leigong Mountain vanished as if they were ice fog dissipating in sunlight, vanishing in an instant.

The moon reappeared in the sky, amidst the tranquil sky shimmered patches of stars, traces of broken wood and flying stones still lay amongst the mountains and forests, and a few leaves were adorned with sparkling dewdrops.

"Could it be not an illusion? When did that Evil Flood Dragon acquire such Spiritual Power?" Hong Huai stood behind Xiao Xian, the torrential rain, mudslide, and strong winds she thought were just illusions, but now she saw they were not, "Where did the Water Jiao go?"

"Was that giant Five-Colored Python also your illusion?" Xiao Xian’s hands were still trembling; she had really made a desperate move just then. With Hong Huai’s silent approval, she exhaled, or else she would have really thought the Great Wizard was of the same kind as that Evil Flood Dragon, dragons and snakes from the same family.

"It could be considered an illusion, or it could also be... real; little girl, your space Magical Treasure is really impressive," the Red Locust Great Wizard transformed back into an old woman in her twilight years, only her gaze towards Xiao Xian carried a hint of precaution.

To swallow a hundreds-year-old Water Jiao possessing the ability to summon clouds and rain in a single gulp required what kind of Magical Treasure, no wonder she collapsed the Dragon Suppressing Bell with a single strike that day.

"I still need to trouble the Great Wizard to help soothe the emotions of the villagers over there, I..." Xiao Xian was speaking when everything went dark, and she fainted away.

"What a strong child, luckily it’s just exhaustion," the Red Locust Great Wizard glanced behind where lights were approaching from Dongnan Miao Village towards the mountain.

She picked up Xiao Xian and walked towards Ge Village. After fainting, Xiao Xian’s consciousness was unusually alert; she could hear the smooth breathing of the Red Locust Great Wizard and the chirping of insects in the mountains. With a turn of consciousness, she entered her space.

"Sugarcane seedling" emitted a phosphorescent glow, and compared to the restored scenery outside, one might think they entered the wrong space.

The once Loess Plateau-like hard soil of the space had turned into soft soil like a swamp, and the swamp soil seemed alive, churning like waves beneath Xiao Xian’s feet.

Upon closer inspection, a plump silkworm-sized Han Baiyu Little Dragon was trapped in the swamp.

"Water Jiao?" Xiao Xian only knew her space could devour anything; her original intent was to annihilate this Evil Flood Dragon that had troubled the people incessantly within the space. But the space, or rather the sugarcane seedling, clearly didn’t get the message.

"Wuwu, kind little miss, please let me out?" Tears streamed from the mouth of the White Dragon that had shrunk countless times in size.

Hearing a centuries-old creature speak human language wasn’t anything strange. Xiao Xian noticed, no matter how much Qi the White Flood Dragon exerted, it couldn’t break free from the swamp; it was like a Ni Qiu floundering helplessly no matter how much it struggled.

"I’m a vegetarian," the "sugarcane seedling" likewise helplessly shook its stalk, according to its usual practice, it would have thrown out any living being that entered the space by now, but with this little dragon personally thrown in by Xiao Xian, indicating "food," it possessed abundant Spiritual Power that could trouble its master if let outside; keeping it inside was too "naughty." Even the sugarcane seedling had to alter the morphology of the soil in the space to trap it.

"What to do then, should I just strangle it to death," Xiao Xian crouched down, sizing up with her fingers, the current "Water Jiao" was merely the size of a silkworm and trapped in the soil, incapable of escape, truly just a pinch away with two fingers.

"Spare my life, master, my little master," the Water Jiao ingratiated itself, desperately flicking its tail, kicking up a splatter of mud, "I swear, I’ll turn over a new leaf and be a good dragon, only bringing benefits to humanity in the future, never to do evil."

"Why should I believe you? I heard from the Red Locust Great Wizard that your practice is very impressive; even she can’t deal with you now, I might as well strangle you early and prevent future troubles," Xiao Xian’s devilish claw inched closer by several notches.

"Spare me, little master, I can help your village with farming, aren’t you lacking water? I can raise clouds and mist locally, even more effective than mankind’s artificial rain," for the sake of survival, the Water Jiao had to reveal all its skills.

Xiao Xian was half-convinced; creating storms was also a Jiao Long’s specialty, she had indeed witnessed its abilities herself that very night.

"What do you usually eat?" Xiao Xian thought it over; the village’s dam had been breached, and they indeed needed a new source of water, yet the issue of food remained to be solved, if it turned out to be another metal-eater, she’d be out of options.

"In conditions that allow, the clouds, the rain, wind and thunder are all possible. In conditions that don’t allow, I can settle for some small fish and shrimps, makeshift but it’s still a meal." The Water Jiao expressed its unparticular nature as a good Jiao.

"Alright, sugarcane seedling, you handle the rest," Xiao Xian unceremoniously grabbed the shrunken White Flood Dragon and threw it onto the sugarcane seedling. (To be continued.
