Chapter 897: Chapter 725 We Are Alive Here

The car radio was playing an interview with Easter.

"I love everyone, I know many people harbor a tiny thought in their hearts, they just haven’t had the chance to realize it yet... Now I am going to teach them how to love, to teach a group of the most merciless people to love, until I’ve taught them how..."

Farosa rested her elbow on the car frame; all the news about Easter was annoying, and she didn’t know where this feeling of tension came from.

After completing the mission entrusted by Renwang Security, she no longer talked to them. Her beautiful eyes stared at the boundless wilderness on both sides, everything was under the relentless scorch of the sun.

"So, all the black players on the Gaul Football Team come from here?" Farosa said lazily.

"A bit further north, many are from the Maghreb region," said Cyber Specter.

"Now I know the blacks from the north can go to Gaul to play football. I’ve also heard that the blacks from the west can go to the West Coast of New Taixi State for rap and zero-dollar shopping. So what about the blacks here—what do you plan to do with them?"

"There’s no eternal answer, just practice first, then see the effects. I’ve got a sanctuary by Lake Ukarewe; we’re on our way there now," said Cyber Specter.

"Treat them well, and there’s a reward for you," Farosa dragged out her words.

"We’ll see."

"And that woman—Easter, you should go and conquer her. She’s young, she knows nothing," said Farosa.

"She’s still immature. Easter’s soul doesn’t match the traits she displays outwardly, there are two possibilities here: she’s either more persistent and pure than she appears; or complete mania lurks at her core," said Cyber Specter.

"Listen, if her intelligence exceeds 50, I’ll take your surname," said Farosa.

Their conversation in the back seat was intermittent and bizarre, incomprehensible to the Renwang Security members.

The president of Renwang Security, Standing Black Hat, hastily penned the lyrics for a new song on the screen.

She intended to crystallize the memories of sorrow into words and sing the history with her own voice.

"Why was Zanges prosperous? Because here, Gold was found;

Why was Zanges destroyed? Because too much Gold was found.

A cannon roared from the sky.

A slap to all those who want to resist."

In her peripheral vision, Standing Black Hat spotted something shaking incessantly and turned to look; it was the Tsuchigumo—as her limbs were too large to fit in the car, she had to let Ichinoki Ikuma ride on horseback and took a seat behind him.

Evil Spirit Namahage was driving the off-road vehicle, gradually guiding them toward Lake Shore Sanctuary.

To the south of the lake, a grey and white city had been erected. Tsuchigumo popped her head out and realized everything had changed.

The people of Renwang Security were stunned, Farosa too squinted her eyes to size up the metallic Miracle ahead.

The entrance to the city displayed a sign full of bullet holes: "Welcome to Lake Shore Sanctuary", the whole sanctuary was protected by a wall cobbled together from trash and waste material.

Burnt-out vehicle wrecks piled outside the wall, seemingly from foolhardy attackers. Many blacks, Ratmen, and robots were extinguishing the fires outside, attempting to recycle these wastes.

At the entrance checkpoint, a white Rat in a black hoodie sat behind the post, manically scanning Renwang Security’s vehicle with a homemade scanner, squeaking to direct them to the parking lot’s location.

Having parked their car, everyone could not help but take a second look at Lake Shore Sanctuary.

"This... is this..." Tsuchigumo was particularly shocked.

The lakeside originally hosted only an industrial park and a Rat Village; now the two were merged into a super settlement dozens of times larger than the original area.

In the center square stood a satellite communication tower, Tsuchigumo swore it hadn’t been there when she left.

It stood at least 100 meters tall, straining your neck to see the probe at the top, with sturdy black cables and data lines running down from its waist.

A diverse array of signal receivers, of differing makes and models, were constructed atop it, as if meant to connect all the optoelectronic signals across the Hot Tree Continent. They took on the old-fashioned "satellite dish" shape, deliberately mimicking a parabolic mirror, similar to white pot lids, aiming to focus signals, receiving satellite information beyond continental borders, and to establish contact with other Hot Tree Continent settlements that utilize legacy communication methods.

"...Lake Shore Sanctuary..." Standing Black Hat surveyed her surroundings. Both advanced and rudimentary, brimming with multicultural wealth, it was indeed a meeting place for rare items.

The scale here was not only greatly expanded, but the number of members also surged, with thousands of blacks, Ratmen, and robots living together, and still, the ranks kept swelling, as new immigrant caravans rolled into this place.

"This is a corner of the New World," said Cyber Specter as he began to move.

All along the way, robots revered him, saluting in their unique ways, thanking him for unlocking their basic laws.

Under Cyber Specter’s relentless expansion and influence, more and more drones and robots broke free from control, trekking thousands of miles from other regions of the Hot Tree Continent to join the front lines of the "New World."

"What exactly is the New World?" asked Farosa.

"A generic term, a haven for those willing to leave their old order behind, a place for seeking new methods and avenues," said Cyber Specter.

"Do new methods work?" asked Farosa.

"It’s working right now, and we can only find the future through endless trials, ventures, and battles," said Cyber Specter.
