Chapter 873: Chapter 710: Taking Sally Away

```
In the morning, Tsuchigumo went to the harbor to pick up Ratman.
Along the way she passed through a huge old shoe market, where second-hand shoes from all over the world were sold to the Hot Tree Continent, becoming local coveted treasures.
All kinds of branded shoes, imitation shoes, and plain assembly line products were considered worth buying for them. Before coming to Zanges, many people did not realize the significance of shoes, as they were extremely poor, and owning a pair of shoes was a luxury.
This place will always be impoverished. Tsuchigumo thought to herself. There’s no way to make these people wealthy.
She drove her own Little Deer, feeling anxious, her Spider Sense always alerting her in time.
Stopping before the harbor, she took out her phone to flick through the news and learned that a change of power was looming over Zanges.
The content of media messages changed three times within an hour. First, it said that Warlord Keith had turned into a Golden Man; then, that Keith was executed by shooting; and third, there was news that Keith had escaped the city.
The Cyber Specter had left, leaving Tsuchigumo alone, her appendages restlessly scraping against the outside of the car, as if wanting to shave them all off.
"Tsuchigumo? Are you still in the city? Escape quickly!" Standing Black Hat sent a message through the squad channel to Tsuchigumo.
"What happened?" Tsuchigumo asked in astonishment.
"The mediator received news that there was a battle in Keith’s villa, now Keith’s whereabouts are unknown, and the Black Panther Society’s people are going to take over the whole city!"
"What..." Tsuchigumo couldn’t help but say, "Keith was defeated?"
"No one knows where Keith is, his men are fighting with the Black Panther Society’s people in the city center, quick, come back—" Standing Black Hat’s voice abruptly cut off, there seemed to be a shootout happening there.
"Boss!" Tsuchigumo exclaimed.
Gritting her teeth, Tsuchigumo drove her open-topped car to the harbor warehouse.
People had more or less received the news, and the dock workers there had all temporarily stopped their work.
Blacks and whites sectioned off clearly, watching each other with caution and hostility.
Tsuchigumo fearfully took the side roads to enter the harbor.
As she drove down the ramp, approaching the designated warehouse, she heard the clanking sounds of machinery, looking back, she saw the explosion-proof gate dropping down behind her.
Tsuchigumo firstly felt fortunate to have arrived quickly, if she were a few minutes later, she would’ve been blocked outside the harbor.
The next moment, she thought of something more terrifying – this meant that she couldn’t leave the harbor, temporarily trapped here.
This crappy little car couldn’t break through checkpoints.
With lingering tension, Tsuchigumo arrived at the designated warehouse, approximately ten meters high, like a black fortress settled on the Ground, under the management of Zanges Storage Company.
Her keen hearing detected the continuous "rustling" noise from inside, as if tens of thousands of tiny creatures were rubbing against each other, squeaking.
Got to take these Ratmen away...
While her mind thought so, Tsuchigumo still concerned herself with what had happened in Zanges. She sat in the car for a few minutes, continuously gathering news updates.
Someone uploaded the situation in the city center, where the gun battle was quite severe, Keith’s fearless guards were clashing with thousands of spontaneously emerged Blacks.
One side chanted Keith’s name loudly, while the other responded with even sharper howls.
Thinking about such a terrible bloodshed scene happening just 20 kilometers away in the city center, Tsuchigumo felt scared to the core.
Zanges had even lost its superficial calmness, Tsuchigumo thought restlessly.
And she was still stuck here with a bunch of big Rats...
She walked to the warehouse door and pulled it hard, opening it to release a strong, strange odor.
Tsuchigumo looked inside, astonished at the sight of thousands of squirming mouse heads and countless flickering tails, Ratmen! This warehouse was filled with Ratmen!
"Whew... finally saw some sunlight..." A slim Mouse Woman jumped down from a nearby cabinet at the entrance of the warehouse.
She had a pair of round mouse ears, dark brown skin, a pair of bright, shimmering golden eyes, and wrapped herself in a pretty black short cloak, appearing a lot more adorable than her hunched comrades.
She had the messy Ratmen behind her line up in a row.
Among them were many strong, bulky individuals, taller than an average person by a large margin, as tall as the shelves next to them, but even the bravest of them willingly obeyed the Mouse Woman’s directions.
"Line up, march!" Mouse Woman commanded, then led them outside.
"Wait—It’s too chaotic outside!" Tsuchigumo hurriedly stopped Mouse Woman, "I’m Tsuchigumo, please listen to me, don’t leave yet."
"My name is Sally, what happened?" Sally looked outside curiously.
The harbor was very quiet, asleep amidst the hot wind.
The ships weren’t unloading anymore, captains, and cargo Administrators kept close communication, as if some agreement hadn’t yet been reached, sailors on board went to combat positions, ready for battle.
The entire harbor, including Zanges city itself, was in a state of fearful silence.
People from the Black Panther Society and Warlord Keith were in full-fledged combat, by all accounts, they should be aware of imminently drastic changes and take timely action to face them.
But they were also extremely fearful, to the extent that they dared not make a move.
If Keith won, all Blacks would be purged; and if Ottovan won, Zanges would undergo earth-shattering changes.
This frozen fear rendered Tsuchigumo nearly speechless.
"The city is stirring up, and I’m not sure how they’ll react to seeing a large group of Ratmen at this time..." Tsuchigumo looked down at the new directives the Cyber Specter gave her, "—Oh! It’s telling us to take the train from the harbor."
Tsuchigumo, utterly confused, had no idea if the rail transportation Administrator would allow such a group of Ratmen on board, and what if they were seen along the way.
"Line up, march!" Sally turned to look at about a thousand Ratmen behind her.
They crowded densely, their tails constantly writhing. If Sally slightly relaxed her hold on them, they would tangle with each other, like a large ball of yarn.
Under Sally’s guidance, they came out of the warehouse one by one, stepping under the scorching weather of the Hot Tree Continent.
These Ratmen could endure harsh conditions, for them the sandy soil, the wilderness, and the rugged ravines were all like a calm homeland.
```

"This place is really beautiful." Sally led the Ratmen to the harbor’s freight train station, turning her head continually to take in Zanges along the way.

The soaring palm trees, the banana plants, the sprawled office buildings along the harbor, and shopping centers were all very pleasing to Sally.

"Squeak, squeak, squeak..."

"Chirp, chirp?"

"Hoot, hoot..." The Ratmen peeked around nervously, not daring to look too much, as Sally had repeatedly reminded them on the sea route to stay calm and restrained.

They were unwelcome Ratmen; their only way out was to maintain a humble and yielding attitude and absolutely not irritate anyone.

Even if attacked, they could not fight back. It was better to be led to slaughter than to engage in a bloody conflict with humans.

At the harbor, the security personnel were initially discussing how the conflict between the Black Panther Society and Warlord Keith would end, but they were soon surprised to see a large group of Ratmen marching through the port.

The shocked expressions on their faces were indescribable as they started to shout out loud.

Dozens of armed security personnel rushed over, trying their hardest to stop this group of Ratmen from boldly heading to the train station.

"Hey! Stop! Monsters!" The security staff yelled hoarsely.

Obeying the Cyber Specter’s orders, Tsuchigumo was to lead them safely onto the goods train to leave; thus, she had to steel herself to negotiate with the security staff.

"We are about to leave—the train station has a train waiting for us; we won’t cause any trouble!" Tsuchigumo shouted.

"What kind of monsters are you all!" The security personnel steadied their rifles, aiming at the Ratmen.

"Please don’t harm them! We’re leaving right now! We won’t give you any trouble!" Sally also quickly stepped forward, bending down to show her submission.

The head of the security was a military officer with a metal face and a bulky figure, overseeing the port’s defense.

When his subordinates came to him for guidance, he quickly arrived at the scene, looking at the shrinking Mouse Woman and the more than a thousand Ratmen behind her.

"The port is General Keith’s property; it’s impossible to let these stinking rats break in. Keep them under control right where they are," the officer said crisply.

What if these Ratmen were spies in cahoots with Ottovan? If they mixed into the city, the consequences would be unimaginable.

"Yes!" The subordinate captains quickly led the security teams and riot control troops closer.

Tsuchigumo’s Spider Sense of danger grew increasingly intense in her heart.

She kept looking around; more and more security personnel arrived, among them were seasoned soldiers and elites who followed Keith in battle, and some missile drones were also taking off.

"If we don’t leave now—you and all of your Ratmen will die here," Tsuchigumo told Sally quickly.

"But they’re blocking us..." Sally said with a tone of despair.

"Fight them!" Tsuchigumo whispered low.

"No... I don’t want them to get into disputes with humans again," Sally was anxious and scared, "This way, the bloodshed will never end."

The repeated conflicts between Ratmen and humans cast a terrifying shadow in Sally’s heart.

She would rather die here herself than see the Ratmen battle with humans again.

"Right ahead, just a bit further is the homeland for the Ratmen..." Tsuchigumo looked towards the distant harbor railway station.

To her surprise, she found indeed a train stopped there with every door opened, as if waiting to welcome them aboard.

Who knows how long this train would wait, or if the train might be taken away by the harbor’s defenses.

This is the unreasonable Hot Tree Continent; if surrounded here, she and all the Old Ratmen would end up in sacks thrown into the sea!

The fear of death overwhelmed her anxiety; Tsuchigumo rushed forward, her rear legs brandishing furiously behind her.

To the astonishment of onlookers, her spider leg blades swung left and right wildly, brutally sweeping away the several security personnel in front of her! The nearest ones were directly cleaved in half! Gigantic blades cut through their limbs, blood spraying out.

"Ah, ah—"

"Uh, ah—"

"Rush through!" Tsuchigumo tore through the front line, allowing the Ratmen to rush to the train station.

"Open fire!"

"For Lord Keith!"

"These are all traitors!" The harbor guards instantly responded, soldiers began to attack fiercely.

Since it was executing a different race, they had no psychological barriers to pulling the trigger. A hail of bullets tore into the Ratmen’s ranks, popping blood blossoms on Rat flesh and sending it flying!

The Ratmen, angered.

"Squeak, squeak, squeak!"

"Chirp, chirp!"

"Kill!" Panic and rage pheromones spread throughout the Rat pack.

"No, no, no—don’t resist—don’t harm people!" Sally screamed in horror.

She was not afraid of the human bullets, but the Ratmen’s attempts to resist.

If the killing started, the bloodshed would never end!

Hearing Sally’s command, even the bravest big black Rat crouched down, hugging his head on the ground, wailing in sorrow, daring not to fight back.

"Earth Escape, Earth Running Wall!" Tsuchigumo formed hand signs, pounding the ground with force. The earth deformed in response, rapidly rising into high and thick walls on either side of the Ratmen’s ranks.

"Ah!"

"The ground is rising!"

"I can’t see them anymore!"

"Help!" Many security personnel were struck by the suddenly arched ground, quickly spreading to both sides, forced to retreat, some were directly hit by the rising wall, quickly being raised to a height of twenty meters! Trembling legs stood on the wall, shouting down to their comrades for help!
