Chapter 808: Chapter 666 Revisiting the Old Place_2
"We wouldn’t have become what we are now," Mizuiro Yoshioka sighed.
Tsuchigumo passed by a stamp shop they often visited before, which had now turned into a bizarre store selling mushroom cloth and mushroom juice.
The shifty-looking owner reminded Tsuchigumo of some eerie legends about the Ratman, reaffirming that this place was Aizu City, where strange and dark events always happened.
But overall, it was still peaceful, orderly, and calm...
"I thought Aizu City’s Underground City would be forgotten, turned into some abandoned area and rat’s nest, but it’s become so clean," Tsuchigumo muttered.
"Yes, now there are new advanced factories, new technologies, and new apartments; the apartments that had been unfinished for over a decade have been completed; both the cemetery and the cemetery elementary school have been rebuilt after the fire; even that old Apple Orchard Food Filling Factory, notoriously rumored to use human flesh, has been renovated. The Bamboo Gang, Chainsaw Angel Gang, Suzuki Group, and Toshiaki Family Group have all disappeared. Now only Asa Katsuragi and her people maintain 30% of the valuable tobacco and alcohol import-export trade in the Northern Archipelago," Mizuiro Yoshioka explained.
"It looks like we’ll be dealing with her in the future," Tsuchigumo pondered.
"All these changes to Aizu City came after the arrival of Nestor Corporation, not just Aizu City but also other places in the Northern Archipelago are constantly improving," Mizuiro Yoshioka, holding Little Fool, took Tsuchigumo back to the place where they grew up.
Akakura Street on Number 26 Highland had also been rebuilt, now a standard Nestor Community with 650 households.
After entering the community center, Mizuiro Yoshioka entered a password and took Tsuchigumo to check the warehouse.
"Did you keep this especially for me?" Tsuchigumo saw a large cabinet in the warehouse with her original name, Mishima Naomi, tagged on it along with the storage date, which was 2 years ago.
"Of course not me, I didn’t even know you would come back. Look, this is because the people from Nestor Corporation have a special large information management system, they have also entered your local information, so after the demolition your private belongings in your room are still under your name, waiting for you to claim," Mizuiro Yoshioka explained with a smile.
"This is just...incredible; any other company would have sold those off long ago," Tsuchigumo verified with her profile from the Corporate Alliance, and the cabinet unlocked immediately.
She saw piles of boxes; all the stuff from her shabby little apartment room had been categorized and organized.
There were her collected books, game cartridges, clothes, furniture, bedding, and even her alcohol and beverages, sorted more meticulously than she could have done herself.
"Nestor Corporation even takes care of people to this extent? I almost feel moved to buy you a drink," Tsuchigumo couldn’t help saying, almost moved by Nestor Corporation.
"Yes, this is the philosophy of Nestor Corporation, we take care of each other, support each other. The productivity in this world is too advanced, and at the same time, there are too many people, so the biggest demand in the future isn’t labor in factories but individuals catering to personal needs, like private teachers, nannies, nurses, doctors...and those in the community who mainly handle organizing, achieving point-to-point support. Jobs at companies are limited, but the need for support among people is infinite," Mizuiro Yoshioka explained.
"So, is there someone who can now help me pack and categorize these things and ship them to my new home?" Tsuchigumo asked.
"Yes," Mizuiro Yoshioka took her to the community front desk to check the information; this place also had a mailing service.
Tsuchigumo was still considered a member of the Akakura Street community, with some discounts and subsidies, sending out these several hundred personal items wouldn’t cost much. She paid 700 in late fees, almost wishing she could spend more to ensure the Nestor Community wouldn’t close down.
"It’s hard to imagine that our muddy Akakura Street would also have a day of transformation," Tsuchigumo really saw many new things today.
"Want to rest at our place? We could also take you to meet Chainsaw Angel, but because of her special status, we have to record your conversation," Mizuiro Yoshioka suggested.
"Sure, also... I can teach her some skills, train this little ninja," Tsuchigumo returned to her private items.
She took out several Ninja Tools from a box she had left from the past, looking back at the Little Fool, Xu Cheng, following them.
"Mm!" Little Fool wants to become stronger.
They arrived at Nestor Industrial Park, the birthplace of the Nestor Corporation; the mines were still in operation, and the automated robots have been working here for three years now, with no issues as long as regular maintenance was done.
Before Chainsaw Angel arrived, Tsuchigumo checked Little Fool’s Ninjutsu.
"Show me all the Ninjutsu you know," Tsuchigumo said.
"Quack!" Little Fool saluted Tsuchigumo.
She quickly changed the gestures of her hands, then bent down and slapped the ground, and after a flash of smoke, Snowball jumped out.
"Bark bark!" Snowball walked around in a circle, then sat down and raised its head to wag its mechanical tail at Tsuchigumo.
"Such a splendid Summoning Technique," Tsuchigumo patted Snowball’s forehead.
Little Fool was thrilled.
Then, standing on a walkway, Little Fool faced forward and rapidly made hand seals; immediately after, her figure darted forward, reappearing dozens of meters away—an act of the "Teleportation Technique."
Lastly, she withdrew a shuriken from her bosom, which she imbued with energy extracted from the surrounding environment.
Mizuiro Yoshioka cooperatively summoned a large Ink Beast as a target.
Little Fool threw the shuriken with force; it twirled with immense energy, forming a powerful Vortex Shuriken that struck the Ink Beast, causing its form to quickly dissipate before the ink finally reconverged and returned to its original form.
"Huff huff..." After executing the three techniques she was proficient in, Little Fool was panting; the power she could muster was limited.
"Hmm..." Tsuchigumo contemplated what to teach Little Fool next.
Mizuiro Yoshioka quietly spoke to Tsuchigumo.
"Teach her more of your skills; it’s all for good, she will repay you greatly in the future," Mizuiro Yoshioka reminded.
"Understood." Tsuchigumo nodded slowly.
When Little Fool returned, Tsuchigumo praised her.
After understanding that Little Fool’s native magic power was to create air walls, Tsuchigumo pretty much knew what techniques she could impart to her.
"I can teach you the Substitution Technique, two Perception Techniques, and two Earth Escape Techniques. Originally, my strongest technique is Earth Flow Wall, but it overlaps with your innate magic power, so you need not learn it," Tsuchigumo told Little Fool.
"Quack!" Little Fool was delighted.
"There should still be one or two masters left in Shinobi Village; later on, you can undergo assessments from them. Once you pass the Mid-level Ninja exam, you will be awarded a headband," Tsuchigumo informed Little Fool.
"What about your headband?" Little Fool was curious.
Tsuchigumo pulled out her headband, which had a clear scratch on it.
"I... am a Rebel Ninja," Tsuchigumo murmured.
"Ah! Here she comes," Mizuiro Yoshioka looked up to see Chainsaw Angel descending from above.
With strikingly large wings and holding a giant red chainsaw, Chainsaw Angel appeared.
"Chainsaw Angel!" Tsuchigumo called out.
"I can’t come down to talk with you right now because the power of Paradise is fading, and the evil number 666 is among us," Chainsaw Angel hovered in the air.
Tsuchigumo looked around, but she could not see the number 666 anywhere.
