Chapter 656: Chapter 550 Strive Forward

```
What to do, there was only killing.
On the outskirts of Sato City, after having purged the lumber camp, and waiting till daybreak, Hosoda Yoshiyuki gathered all the laborers, having them hide in the woods. He ordered a few individuals to drive away the big trucks that transported lumber, but this time the truck interiors were loaded not with wood, but with countless guns and ammunition.
They lay in hiding until 11 a.m., waiting for the news that the fleet was engaged, then Hosoda Yoshiyuki began the slaughter.
He aimed for the wasteland at the city’s edge, which had been converted into farmland. Amidst the continuous stretch of military camps, watchtowers, barracks, barbed wire fences, and machine gun towers, there were about several hundred thousand laborers sealed off.
"Kill them!" roared Hosoda Yoshiyuki as he leapt into the sky, unfolding his full armament, and bombarding the camps below him with ferocious abandon.
His veins bulged with blood, his eyes red with rage, as he poured his endless desire for destruction upon the camps below!
Boom! Boom!
"Ahh—"
"There’s an enemy!"
"Be careful!" The Black Fire garrison was thrown into utter chaos.
The troops stationed in the suburbs to guard the laborers were all second-line troops, among which many were auxiliary forces conscripted from the civilians. As they faced Hosoda Yoshiyuki’s massive firepower assault, they were overwhelmed and unable to lift their heads.
House after house was turned to ashes in the missile bombardments!
Hearing such noises, the laborers, who were toiling in the fields and tending to the crops, couldn’t help but lift their heads in horror and stare at the Super Remodeled Man, Hosoda Yoshiyuki, flying in the sky.
Beneath him, he saw thousands of acres of farmland where tens of thousands of slaves, oppressed by Black Fire Innovation, toiled away. Hosoda Yoshiyuki saw their faces filled with fear, sorrow, bewilderment, and unease.
Hosoda Yoshiyuki dove at a robot warehouse, from whence several combat robots were moving out. They fired at Hosoda Yoshiyuki, hitting him several times.
He roared, spreading his arms as bee-shaped missiles whistled out of his body’s launch bays, fiercely crashing down and exploding in their midst, igniting a great fire!
The firepower of Hosoda Yoshiyuki alone was equivalent to several bombers combined, and by the time he had exhausted all his ammunition, the surrounding garrison was almost completely butchered!
Everywhere were Black Fire Revolutionary Soldiers torn to pieces, burnt to death, and smashed by debris—it was an extremely bloody scene.
In the fields, a few Black Fire service soldiers, officers, and soldiers were also in a state of panic.
"Report! No. 1 Labor Camp is under attack!" A communications soldier, looking at the nearby houses engulfed in flames and then at the rampaging Hosoda Yoshiyuki in the sky, was paralyzed with fear.
"Then defeat the enemy!" came the uneasy communication from the military base.
"Can’t headquarters provide support?"
"We’re under attack too!" wailed the headquarters communicator, "The information room is in chaos!"
The communications soldier was horrified, how had Sato City become like this?
Hosoda Yoshiyuki flew through the sky, and after replenishing his ammunition from his carrying gear, he made another round of fire, killing roughly 80% of the defense force.
The remaining twenty percent of the enemies retreated and shifted their positions, posing no threat.
Now was the time to gather these laborers.
"Could it be..."
"That is..."
"Ahh..." The people couldn’t help but gather together, their gazes following the ferocious and powerful Hosoda Yoshiyuki, and even their withered bodies seemed to gain a hint of strength.
Hosoda Yoshiyuki circled in the sky while looking down at the laborers.
Those people, a myriad of them, as far as the eye could see, spread across the vast land, standing among scrawny plants, on ridges, holding hoes, sitting on farming machinery—he recognized them as the citizens of Sato City. Since the city’s fall, they had been captured and brought here, having their tears and blood squeezed out of them.
He took a deep breath.
"Come on!" Hosoda Yoshiyuki roared, "The whole world is watching here! The whole world is focusing on this war! Rise up and fight! History says the masses are blind—sightless—if you don’t have the courage... passersby will say—look at that! So many people! A single soldier can keep them in check—do you wish to be looked down upon?"
Hosoda Yoshiyuki paused, then bellowed again.
"There’s no reasoning with Black Fire, so you might as well become beasts! We’ve only been ’human’ for a brief page in history, resist like beasts, and then history will remember you!"
The laborers lifted their heads, the hungry and anxious people, plunged into great chaos. But the earth-shattering scene broke through their daily drudgery, and a kind of nebulous, wild power naturally stirred in their hearts.
"If you don’t dare to punch and bite back at them right now, then your suffering isn’t caused by them—it’s caused by yourselves!" Hosoda Yoshiyuki circled one more time, shouting from above.
A Black Fire officer standing on the cargo road in the middle of the farmland was trying to flee.
He looked around in terror at the laborers on either side. Their gaze towards the officer was slowly changing.
"Haa..." He took out his handgun in a threatening manner and waved it around, he swallowed, his gaze moving towards his battalion’s barracks in the distance, which had been blown up and burned down by Hosoda Yoshiyuki. Many must be trapped inside, waiting to die.
The officer was momentarily distracted, sensing a push from behind. Turning around, he saw an angry laborer staring right at him. He quickly fired at them, and a bloody hole appeared in the laborer’s chest, causing them to collapse.
The officer breathed a sigh of relief, only to be met with shrill screams.
```

Bang!

He felt a heavy blow to the back of his head as a man walked up from behind and smashed a hoe onto the officer’s head, causing his vision to blur with stars. Then others, like madmen, charged forward, pounding his face with their fists, blood spurting out and soaking his crisp uniform.

"Stop—" he tried to raise a hand from within the throng; a laborer made room for others, raised the hoe high, and smashed it down fiercely onto the officer’s head, causing his brains to burst out of the crater instantly.

They took the officer’s gun and merged with the crowd.

Hosoda Yoshiyuki waved vigorously as the prearranged large truck approached along the road. Several laborers drove the vehicles, bringing the goods confiscated from the lumberyard to this location.

"Seize life! Seize freedom! Reach out and take it!" Hosoda Yoshiyuki’s voice thundered. "You should not fear them; they should fear you!"

Tens of thousands marched, resembling a towering wave from above, a moving wall on the ground.

The first stop was to open the granary and fill their bellies.

Meanwhile, the military base itself was under fierce attack.

Hundreds of elite soldiers hurriedly gathered in a corridor, following orders to defend positions when Rinne suddenly appeared before them and opened fire rapidly.

Bang!

One shot!

The bullet travelled forward, spinning, and when it hit the body of the soldier in front, the secret script engraved on the bullet exploded at once.

Law of Slaughter! Burst forth!

The might that obliterated life spread out in all directions, a net of death instantly passing through the bodies of everyone in the corridor! The sounds of blood splattering and chunks of flesh falling were continuous, and in an instant, dozens of Black Fire Soldiers were torn to pieces by that single bullet! The corridor fell silent, filled with fragments of intestines and innards.

"I’m in! Took down about fifty." Rinne sent the message. "Where’s the information control room?"

"Cleared out ten minutes ago." Masasuke Hazuki turned to look at the Black Fire technicians in the information room; they had all been killed. "The scene’s a bit gruesome, but you can come in now to control the base’s network modules; it might help the front lines."

"Strike a fatal blow to the Baraya." Rinne nodded silently, quickly heading toward the information room based on the coordinates provided by Masasuke Hazuki.

Bang!

A red laser shot at Rinne, who activated her subjective time dilation implant and swiftly dodged the shot, the implant causing dizziness and tinnitus, which Rinne could still endure as Matteo approached, clad in military armor.

"One rat after another sneaking in..." Matteo cocked his gun, the Laser Three Eyed Gun in his hands ready to fire.

The Engraved Bullet meant for killing living things was ineffective against Matteo, a Synthetic Human.

Rinne leaped to the side as behind her, A999 charged towards Matteo.

"Leave this to you!" Rinne let A999 draw Matteo’s attention and jumped out the window herself, taking another route to the information control room.

"Fine!" A999 roared and swung the Nodachi at Matteo. "To the death, Synthetic Human!"

"So these are the infamous Third Generation Synthetic Humans?" Matteo scoffed and pulled the trigger. After charging, the barrel of the Laser Three Eyed Gun spun rapidly, continuously firing devastating red lasers.

Whoosh whoosh—

A999 crouched and rushed forward, so fast that the distance was closed in an instant, forcing Matteo to step back as one of the lasers hit A999’s hand, completely melting it along with the Nodachi it held!

Matteo sneered as A999 quickly scooped up the sword with his left hand and launched a Rapid Slash, leaping towards Matteo in the air. The left-handed blade was just as sharp, and as the long sword struck, it hit Matteo’s chest with a metallic clang but only left a scratch on his alloy shell.

"Useless! Useless!" Matteo dropped his gun and took out his combat Dagger, striking at A999’s Nodachi.

A999 responded with gravity.

It landed and counter-slashed, the left hand brandishing the large blade elegantly through the air, creating a trajectory as beautiful as a dance. Yet, no third party was present to witness A999’s martial prowess.

Clang!

Weapons collided! Matteo was startled by A999’s enormous strength, skilled technique, and rapid speed. In a flash, Matteo’s Dagger was knocked out of his hand, leaving him unarmed.

A999 looked at Matteo’s dark complexion, recalling the skirmish the previous night where Masasuke Hazuki had left some marks on Matteo’s face, still visible now. A999 then raised the blade with his left hand, slashing broadly and ferociously at Matteo’s head, striking the wound and swiftly cutting through the outer metal, slicing the faceplate’s wiring.

Without expression, A999 made a successful hit, lifting the blade high over his head for another fierce chop as Matteo tried to retreat but found the corridor too narrow, with no space to fall back.

Bang! A heavy chop came down, and Matteo felt an overwhelming force smashing onto his head, directly dropping him to the ground!

Bang! Another chop followed by the loud jangling clash of metal.

A999 cried out as the sword bent from the force of the strikes.

Used to changing weapons, A999 wasn’t concerned about the damaged blade and simply threw it aside. With the index and middle fingers of his left hand pinched together, he jabbed forcefully into Matteo’s eye socket as if it were a chisel!

Crack— With a crack, A999’s steel fingers pierced Matteo’s visual sensors. His fingertips curled, hooking onto the wiring, and he pulled out all of the internal wires, snapping them one by one. With another jab, A999’s fist sank into Matteo’s eye socket!

All that was left for Matteo was darkness, fear the only emotion remaining, and the only thing he could hear was A999’s roar!
