Chapter 1046: Chapter 820: Unsealing the Godslayer Weapon
After the Dragon Assembly concluded, everyone boarded the Divine Radiance and returned to the Northern Archipelago.
The first thing Farosa did upon arrival was to enter her Star River Domain and sharpen the Godslayer Weapon.
She ceremonially drew Princess Yao Tang’s dragon blood from the Jade Casket and raised the Godslayer Weapon high.
A misty connection formed between the blade and the blood, like dozens of tendrils subtly stirring. The Godslayer Weapon naturally craved dying deities, bringing them destined demise.
"—Devour the near-death Princess Yao Tang. She is a rare Dragon Clan lineage, grievously injured, weak, and fading. She was supposed to die many years ago, but survived thanks to Kunxu’s protection. She stored her dying dragon blood within the jade, and now it is entrusted to you, empowering you to trace every timeline. You can deliver death across different world lines and annihilate enemies from the past, present, and future, casting them into eternal ruin."
Princess Yao Tang’s blood lost its luster, while the Godslayer Weapon gleamed with a fourth streak of murderous aura.
Farosa lifted the sword in her hand and slowly twirled it within the Star River Domain.
The blade reflected dazzling radiance at every angle, and whenever Farosa wielded the weapon, it glimmered brightly.
"It seems to hunger for enemies." Xu Yang approached from behind.
The various regions of the Star River Domain were connected by intangible zodiacal lines. Walking required extreme caution; one misstep could result in falling into the boundless cosmos.
In this domain, Xu Yang also caught sight of Suzukawa Kiyo, who appeared distended and floating in the distance.
Ever since Farosa had consumed her with the Little Galaxy, Suzukawa Kiyo had entirely become a resident of the Star River Domain and seemed to have adapted to life there.
Farosa turned toward Suzukawa Kiyo and struck her with the Godslayer Weapon.
Sharp sword aura swept across the domain, like a death-defining celestial line, quickly transforming into a massive meteor trailing fiery destruction, carrying near-infinite destructive power.
Suzukawa Kiyo swung her swollen tendril-like flesh desperately, akin to a space amoeba attempting to maneuver, but her slow speed led to her being struck by the Godslayer’s Sword Aura.
The tremor spread silently through the starfield.
From afar, Suzukawa Kiyo appeared to explode like a bubble. The fully unleashed Godslayer Weapon struck her, causing her divine essence to suffer significant damage. Her previously infinite regenerative abilities were now greatly diminished.
Most of her form disintegrated into stardust, leaving only a third of her mass, which she struggled to coalesce as she drifted through the void—though her efforts were futile.
Farosa nodded.
"The power... has increased tenfold." Farosa was satisfied.
Whereas earlier strikes with the Godslayer Weapon had merely shaken spatial structures, now, it could directly pierce weaker spaces and inflict true physical destruction on demigods.
The ultimate weapon for slaying deities.
"Did you hit Suzukawa Kiyo like this before?" Xu Yang asked.
"She keeps growing, nearly filling the entire Star River Domain. This method works; striking her once a year with the Godslayer Weapon curbs her growth. Before this, I had to strike her every month." Farosa nodded.
A contented expression appeared on her face, though Xu Yang wasn’t sure if she was satisfied with the weapon’s power or pleased with Suzukawa Kiyo’s function as the perfect training dummy.
"...True edge..." Xu Yang observed the Godslayer Weapon.
The sword occasionally flickered with bright blue-green hues, like expensive glazed pottery, and then displayed hell-like black and red malevolence, capable of utterly dispelling and degrading divinity.
Old Mond had spearheaded the creation of the Godslayer Weapon, using his wisdom and experience alongside input from other Mystics to bring the ultimate weapon into existence. Xu Yang examined it closely. Yet, in Farosa’s hands, it still felt lacking somehow.
"It’s powerful, but if it can’t hit the enemy, it’s useless. Speaking of which..." Farosa turned to Xu Yang.
She gracefully conjured a Starry Throne in her domain and seated herself upon it.
Farosa wore nothing except the Rainbow Cloak, resting her two smooth feet on the Star Tamer, exuding a goddess’s aura.
The Rainbow Cloak floated gently from her shoulders, cascading elegantly to half-conceal her figure, accentuating her curves. The cloak itself, her companion Divine Artifact, was luxurious in material and exquisite in design, adding a touch of elegance to her already commanding presence.
"This is a formal occasion." Xu Yang remarked.
"We can certainly approach with... formality." Farosa intertwined her fingers.
Under her sharp, penetrating gaze, Xu Yang stepped forward, using his method to ascertain some of her traits.
He analyzed her physical condition!
"...Incredibly resilient—capable of enduring various forms of attacks, performing extended combat even without using magic power... Now, let me evaluate your speed." Xu Yang conducted a thorough inspection of Farosa.
"Be careful. You’re facing the full majesty of the Witch Goddess..."
"You appear to be subsonic in speed levels, but it’s not enough. Farosa, go full throttle!"
"This is my domain; today, you’ll never surpass me..."
Both fell off the zodiac corridor, engaging in a zero-gravity DOI amidst the stars.
In this entirely free environment, all dynamics were unrestricted, and nothing could hinder Xu Yang and Farosa.
In the distance, Suzukawa Kiyo floated in a dismembered state.
She remained shattered, profoundly shaken.
...
In short, utter bliss.
After a long session of testing, Farosa collapsed in satisfaction.
Xu Yang gathered invaluable combat data, using the limited information to build a comparative model of Dilnai.
—Full Attribute Comparison—
Physical Strength: Farosa relied on her Rainbow Cloak to defend against divine power, and her basic body could withstand modern weapon bombardments; Dilnai was stronger—her armor and body could repel attacks of the highest tier.
Mobility: Farosa could conduct limited subsonic flight; Dilnai could fly at supersonic or even sublight speeds and could open spatial gates for long-distance jumps.
Willpower: After obtaining divinity, both Farosa and Dilnai were immune to illusions and mental control, displaying extreme pain tolerance. The only difference was that Farosa had emotional attachments, while Dilnai seemed wholly detached.
Combat Capability: Farosa lacked battle experience; Dilnai, conversely, was a seasoned warrior, having fought in over ten thousand demigod-level battles from ancient times to the present.
Reconnaissance and Counter-Reconnaissance: Farosa lacked stealth abilities but excelled in sensing, capable of unraveling most invisibility methods used by mortals and witches, as well as seeing through technological cloaking devices; Dilnai hadn’t demonstrated her abilities in this area but was speculated to use divine powers for stealth if required, though she hadn’t needed such tactics thus far.
Magic Power and Destructive Force: At full release and unrestricted, both Farosa and Dilnai could obliterate entire terrestrial worlds, though Farosa would dismantle things more gradually—eliminating all living beings first, then physical materials.
Authority: Farosa preliminarily controlled domains of witches and oceans, partially grasping memory-related authority by consuming the Great River Goddess’s arm; her magic encompassed slaughter and recovery. Dilnai, on the other hand, commanded domains of good, evil, order, sin, and envy, and could summon an Angel Legion. According to ancient texts, Dilnai possessed an ultimate technique yet to be revealed—Paradise’s Advent, akin to Farosa’s Star River Domain unveiling but potentially her final divine strategy.
Regeneration: Farosa could instantly recover using the Law of Recovery, while Dilnai could use powerful healing formulas to mend herself; both were extraordinarily difficult to kill.
Artifacts: Farosa wielded the Godslayer Weapon, the Star Tamer, and the Rainbow Cloak; Dilnai owned an unknown cruciform spear, a potent halo overhead, and sacred armor.
—
Farosa rested for a while before reviewing Xu Yang’s findings.
"It feels like I’m utterly outmatched by Dilnai," Farosa commented.
The comparative model of Dilnai was built by Xu Yang based on scattered information, and the reality of Dilnai’s power was likely even greater.
What was most terrifying... she had started directly extracting Fragments of the Throne of God, Farosa thought. The prior version of Dilnai certainly wouldn’t have attempted such a technique. Could someone have traded the secret information from the fragments to Dilnai after acquiring them? It had to be the Ancient God of Blood. Or perhaps Dilnai’s strength had ascended to yet another level...
"She’s trained for ten thousand years. You’ve slept for a thousand. The fact that you can stand before her at all is already a miracle of the world, especially when over half your combat power depends on the Godslayer Weapon." Xu Yang remarked.
"I need a device to help me fly," Farosa mused. "I could drive it using Star River gravity, so energy won’t be a problem, but I need something I can stand on while inflicting damage to enemies."
"What? A flying skateboard?" Xu Yang wondered.
"I want something ten times cooler than that. Hurry and develop an excellent flying apparatus for me." Farosa urged.
Powerful flying entities are usually Angels or Dragons. Farosa was an exception; her abilities didn’t include flight and were limited to antigravity levitation at most. Xu Yang pondered.
Using a Shuttle Machine wasn’t convenient either, as Farosa’s power would undoubtedly cause it to explode internally.
Thus, this flying apparatus could only serve as something for Farosa to sit or stand on.
And it had to be cool?
"A flying unicycle?" Xu Yang speculated. "Flying carriage? Hover disk? Or ride a mythical flying creature?"
"Riding a dragon sounds appealing," Farosa found the idea interesting. "Whether it’s Micro October or Princess Yao Tang, riding them would amplify my power exponentially, making it two against one."
"Forget about it. Noble Dragon Clan princesses won’t let you ride them. Unless the Ocean Descendants grow wings, or you settle for flying horses or flying battle chariots." Xu Yang said.
"Flying horses? There are flying horses on the Taixi Continent... Maybe we can find griffins, hippogriffs, unicorns, giant eagles, dragonhawks, or phoenixes..." Farosa suddenly envisioned a curious tale.
The Taixi Continent had the highest concentration of mythical creatures, always serving as a gathering spot for magical beasts.
"Riding a phoenix might work. Your Rainbow Cloak already resembles a phoenix anyway." Xu Yang imagined Farosa riding a phoenix; it matched her aesthetic perfectly.
"Well, bring one to me. I’ll wait within the Star River Domain. Before the corporations on Taixi Continent wipe out these mythical creatures, we should be able to find one or two ancient beasts. If none are available, then build me a hovercraft." Farosa leisurely commanded.
"Alright—" Xu Yang agreed.
He also preferred Farosa staying within the Star River Domain since Xu Yang was about to head to the Near East Region to find Micro October.
Xu Yang departed.
Not much later, Farosa saw the damaged Suzukawa Kiyo sliding toward her from a distance.
"What do you want? Now that the Godslayer Weapon has been fully unleashed, it can slice you into dust." Farosa gripped the weapon firmly.
"...I can help you." Suzukawa Kiyo’s voice drifted faintly from one of the countless mouths lining her ruptured form. "Let’s strike a deal; beyond being your whetstone, I have even greater value—if you grant me... a proper degree of freedom."
