Chapter 1023: Chapter 808: Leaping Through the Dragon Gate

Xu Yang reached out, his fingertips brushing against Lu Sizhou’s cheek. She rarely displayed such a submissive demeanor, resembling a small beast basking in its owner’s affection.

"What do you mean?" Xu Yang asked.

"Be your woman, maybe bear a child, whatever you want—I’ll help you." Lu Sizhou smiled.

It was not until their skin touched that Xu Yang realized the Star Weaving Lady wasn’t exaggerating; Lu Sizhou’s skin was as delicate as a newborn, soft like a fresh spring.

She closed her eyes, her eyelashes trembling lightly, making her appear youthful and innocent.

Xu Yang was too practiced. His fingers slid downward, exploring lower ground. It was evident that Lu Sizhou was restraining her emotions. His touch seemed to break the sharp thorns on her body, one by one.

His fingers continued downward, stopping at the boundary between courtesy and crime, tracing a gentle circle.

When Xu Yang withdrew his hand, Lu Sizhou acted as though nothing had happened.

Only Xu Yang could fathom the stormy turmoil within her, but to everyone else, it seemed as though both parties had maintained limits.

Xu Yang gazed intently at Lu Sizhou’s delicate face.

The heir to Heavenly Cardinal Manufacturing, Lu Sizhou—Miss Lu, Princess Lu! And now, she was utterly subdued before Xu Yang.

An unparalleled feeling of conquest surged within Xu Yang.

If he were a younger man—a hot-blooded youth—he’d have immediately taken this peerless beauty into his arms.

"Your skin is beautiful, Miss Lu," Xu Yang said.

"I can help you right now." Lu Sizhou responded in kind. She placed her hands on Xu Yang’s face, their gazes locked, her eyes brimming with intense emotions, like fireworks poised to erupt.

"...I know a woman far more cruel and merciless than you. She’s ten times harsher. Fortunately, I can handle her and even assist her." Xu Yang remarked.

"If you can assist her, then you can assist me too," Lu Sizhou said softly.

"But there’s one thing you fall far behind in—dignity." Xu Yang replied.

Lu Sizhou’s lips twitched slightly.

Her hands swiftly withdrew from Xu Yang’s face, as if they’d be severed the next moment.

"Dignity..." Xu Yang continued relentlessly, "I mean, how could you surrender to someone you once disdained? That’s the most disgraceful thing. Let me tell you something: I know people who are a hundred times more sinister than you, but also a hundred times nobler. She’s the most prideful and conceited woman I’ve ever met, and thus breathtakingly beautiful. Compared to her, you’re just a sycophantic dog!"

"That’s not true." Lu Sizhou forced a smile.

"It is. You pretend to be a flawless woman, always claiming your interests, strategizing, showing off as though you’re superior to everyone else—all polished and luminous. Yet once backed into a corner, you do something like this? At this point, I don’t even want to look at you. Your image in my mind is forever changed. From now on, whatever you say will seem laughable. Don’t try to speak to me like this again, because now, I’m not even sure you’re worth staying in my sight." Xu Yang declared.

Lu Sizhou’s body trembled violently.

Xu Yang’s words left an invisible scar on Lu Sizhou that would never fade; she awkwardly retreated, as though she were an old, decaying log.

Perhaps years later, traces of this shame would still be visible on her.

He glanced at Lu Sizhou. She sat on the damp, dusty rocky ground, wrapped in a blanket, as though trying to conceal her disgrace.

Her hands clasped together, fingers interlocked, seemingly in prayer. Xu Yang knew that any further push might make her spiral out of control, but he would give her enough time to recover—not utterly destroying her.

Xu Yang couldn’t claim to fully understand Lu Sizhou, but he believed she had likely never been in such a position before.

He noticed other soldiers attempting to approach and seize Lu Sizhou, but Xu Yang raised his hand.

"Let her be, quietly." Xu Yang commanded.

"Mr. Xu, Miss Lu is, after all, one of our company." replied the leading Tianque Attendant.

He was clad in advanced nanometer armor, which fit him like a living second skin.

"What I say should carry some weight, no?" Xu Yang stepped forward, subtly blocking the Tianque Attendant’s path.

The Tianque Attendant remained silent, his demeanor solemn. These elite corporate soldiers carried highly advanced individual firepower, and under normal circumstances, they would be unyielding toward an unarmed Xu Yang. Yet, in this moment, their battle intent had completely dissolved.

Not only because of the Divine Radiance and the Storm Princess casting their shadows but also due to the realization of Xu Yang’s corporate rank. They deduced he was the second-ranking executive of Nestor Corporation.

They dared not act impulsively.

Thus, the soldiers formed into ranks, clutching their weapons, saluting Xu Yang before retreating to the outskirts of the cave, guarding and patrolling without further interference in Xu Yang and Lu Sizhou’s affairs.

Lu Sizhou remained visibly distraught, grateful no one came to humiliate her further.

However, she didn’t appear entirely fragile—she just needed time to reassemble herself and reevaluate the situation. Closing her eyes, she found her inner self flooded with conflicting emotions.

It was during this moment that she became acutely aware of the disparity between virtual space and the real world.

Under the influence of neural signals and drugs, Lu Sizhou had experienced countless bursts of joy atop the pinnacle of power, repeatedly savoring the pleasures of reigning over a conglomerate. Yet these pleasures were ephemeral bubbles; the illusions of joy could never match the authenticity of humanity.

Lu Sizhou sighed internally. She’d mocked so many people before, only to find herself the most unfortunate in the end.

She watched Xu Yang’s retreating figure and couldn’t help but feel an odd mixture of emotions toward this enigmatic man.

His humiliation of her, ironically, offered Lu Sizhou a chance to remake herself. The lesson was brutally fitting, a timely rebirth for someone like her.

She held her breath, planning to do something when suddenly, she noticed a flash of white light beside Xu Yang. Another figure had appeared.

This was, without a doubt, the most stunning woman Lu Sizhou had ever laid eyes on in her life.

The woman’s appearance was extraordinary—thick, wave-like chestnut hair cascading down, framing a captivating and enigmatic face; her refined features, flawless eyes, and lush lips made Lu Sizhou feel utterly inferior.

She wore a colorful cape, resembling phoenix feathers draped over her, which seemed to absorb all surrounding light. Lu Sizhou’s gaze couldn’t tear away from it, unable to focus on anything else in the cave.

Yet, the real brilliance of this Witch lay in the Divine Sword on her back. The sword’s glass-like material pulsated with ancient, overwhelming power, entwined with layers of vibrant, sinister energy—as though capable of obliterating all adversaries.

The blade’s imposing presence was undeniable; even from a distance, Lu Sizhou could feel its aura. The sinister energy coiled into three spiraling streams.

Godslayer Weapon, Tipping Blade.

She stepped onto the scene and kissed Xu Yang. Lu Sizhou watched, bewildered, perceiving between them an emotion she had never fully grasped—a love reaching deep into the soul.

"You’ve finally arrived, Farosa." Xu Yang gazed at her, visibly relaxed.

"The renowned Dragon-Slaying Assembly—naturally, I wouldn’t miss it." Farosa replied, surveying the surroundings.

Lu Sizhou realized that Farosa’s eyes hadn’t lingered on her for even a fraction of a second. It was as though the blanket covering Lu Sizhou acted as an invisibility cloak, merging her completely with the dark cave.

More drones descended from above Weak Water, each bearing the Heavenly Cardinal Manufacturing emblem, scanning the area. Several shuttles carrying armed personnel began descending as well.

"Probably some Tianque Attendants relayed intel seeking reinforcements. Let’s avoid conflict with them and focus on heading to the Dragon Gate Mansion." Xu Yang said.

Xu Yang’s communicator flickered softly.

"Intercepted Lu Sizhou’s signal—it seems Xiao Lu’s team is requesting reinforcements." Xu Yang examined the series of hexagram-coded data.

"You’ve been intercepting their signals the whole time?" Farosa inquired.

"I feared Lu Sizhou would mislead Lu Jing, so I took control of this area’s communications, coordinating with Nestor Headquarters while relaying information to Lu Jing for double verification—hoping to help her somewhat." Xu Yang explained.

They spoke nonchalantly in Lu Sizhou’s presence, which only deepened her inner despair.

At Nestor Headquarters, Rinne and Yan Huarou swiftly decrypted the hexagram codes, learning someone had sent a final SOS. Lu Jing’s team had likely confronted Pan Yuan directly.

"Lu Jing...might have already found Pan Yuan." Xu Yang’s heart tightened. "We need to assist Lu Jing."

Divine Dragon, Pan Yuan!

A shadowy ancient entity shrouded in mystery; no one knew the extent of its power or the secrets hidden within its refuge at the Dragon Gate Mansion.

Xu Yang understood that relying solely on Lu Jing and her team, survival against Pan Yuan was unlikely. Unforeseen dangers awaited, and if they inadvertently provoked Pan Yuan, they might be erased from existence.

"I came for the breath of the almost-dead." Farosa said, "Everything else is negotiable."

"The weakened Divine Dragon—" Lu Sizhou interjected suddenly, "We know of its existence too. Pan Yuan is gravely injured; we’ve detected faintly weakened dragon energy at the very bottom."

"Thanks." Farosa responded flatly. "No reply needed; I’ll go help her directly."

Xu Yang nodded, watching Farosa step toward the waterfall’s edge.

With a leap, she plunged into Weak Water.

"She—" Lu Sizhou gasped, staring as Farosa leaped fearlessly into Weak Water, without a trace of hesitation or fear for the risk of annihilation!

The Heavenly Cardinal drones quickly withdrew, avoiding the Dragon Gate Mansion entirely. They wouldn’t dare plunge directly in and would instead expand their information scope cautiously before making a move.

"Let’s go too." Xu Yang turned to Lu Sizhou. "Are you coming?"

"..." Lu Sizhou’s expression shifted rapidly. Her status was too lofty to risk entering the perilous Dragon Gate Mansion.

She fell silent, barely perceptibly shaking her head, hoping Xu Yang would understand her stance without needing explicit rejection.

Lu Sizhou planned to mobilize loyal Lu family officers. No matter how Yan Qingyun configured the corporate military, factions within it couldn’t be entirely unified.

"...Fine then." Xu Yang didn’t intend to concern himself with her further. He quickly returned to the Divine Radiance, rallying his team. "Star Weaving Lady, to the Dragon Gate Mansion!"

"Onward!" The Star Weaving Lady exclaimed happily, operating the Divine Radiance.

The Divine Radiance, bound for the Dragon Gate Mansion!
