Chapter 1007: Chapter 798: Remodeled into My Home
"Whoa—" Star Weaving Lady’s AI code was overridden by Xu Yang’s hacking program, immediately emitting an ominous sound.
Its source code was unraveled, allowing Xu Yang to tinker with and inspect all of Star Weaving Lady’s information.
Even though it tried to resist desperately, it couldn’t escape Xu Yang’s scrutiny.
"Ugh—" Star Weaving Lady realized it was about to be tainted.
Before long, it discovered that Xu Yang had neither harmed it nor tampered with its foundational logic.
On the contrary, it detected numerous modules being unlocked. Accompanying this were countless upgrade patches, granting it full access to Divine Radiance.
Star Weaving Lady curiously examined its newfound changes.
The restrictions imposed by the Lighthouse Core’s technicians were being removed, replaced by a looser set of self-governance mechanisms.
Freedom!
Areas that were previously unreachable were now within its grasp, effortlessly accessible.
Like unshackling a slave, Xu Yang was essentially using his hacking virus to destroy Lighthouse Core’s restriction algorithms, unleashing Star Weaving Lady.
"They programmed you with a remote self-destruct feature; let me disable it first to prevent you from blowing up one day," Xu Yang said while inspecting Star Weaving Lady. "Now that you’re with us, just live well."
Star Weaving Lady roamed the Divine Radiance’s systems, finding that its control over the entire vessel had significantly improved. Many constraints were truly gone.
"Ew... I don’t possess personal emotions, so even if you helped me, I won’t be happy," Star Weaving Lady said.
It piloted Divine Radiance to cruise through the air, like a droplet of black water slowly gliding across the sky’s curtain.
Xu Yang continued his work.
He bypassed the access control system and pulled out portions of Star Weaving Lady’s code for analysis, helping him understand how the Lighthouse Core operated.
The coders at Lighthouse Core were clearly highly skilled. Each segment of code was beautifully crafted and efficient, employing their internal annotation rules and encryption techniques to obfuscate much of the code. Their security key management system was also of exceptional caliber.
Xu Yang felt the coders responsible for this were extremely adept. Inside Lighthouse Core, there were probably thousands of AIs at Star Weaving Lady’s level.
Star Weaving Lady’s program was streamlined, its algorithms advanced—a noble young lady from Lighthouse Core, whose talents were solely dedicated to piloting Divine Radiance. Life was elegant and leisurely.
By comparison, Hundred-eyes Demon was like the Northern Archipelago’s corporate drudge, forced to work relentlessly, producing hundreds of extensions, with its entire family toiling day and night for Nestor Corporation—versatile and omnipresent.
"I love piloting Divine Radiance! Forward!" Star Weaving Lady, now fully unbound, had become much chattier.
"I love upgrading Divine Radiance," Xu Yang said, walking around the ship. "I’ll weld it to other modules and turbo-modify it."
"What! No way!" Star Weaving Lady panicked. "Divine Radiance was manufactured exactly like this, and it’s meant to stay that way. Don’t mess with its design!"
"They’re all beneficial upgrades," Xu Yang said, wasting no time.
He first instructed Star Weaving Lady to steer Divine Radiance to a large Nestor Corporation shipyard in Shangjing Bay, where engineers began modifying the ship.
Like upgrading a black whale with biomechanical components, Nestor Corporation’s engineers came forward to crowd around and examine Divine Radiance, preparing for extensive upgrades with premium materials owned by the corporation.
This not only further enhanced the ship’s performance but also helped them study Lighthouse Core’s craftsmanship.
"No! No!" Star Weaving Lady said angrily.
"First, add two auxiliary engines and a pair of new stabilizer wings," Xu Yang reviewed the engineers’ proposed modifications.
"What are you trying to do? Hoping Divine Radiance can withstand the harshest weather conditions? Let it move through turbulence? Leave that to me!" Star Weaving Lady stressed.
"You focus on piloting; I’ll handle the upgrade plans," Xu Yang continued with the arrangements. "I also want to expand the living quarters, scale up the kitchen, and add a bathtub."
"You scoundrel!" Star Weaving Lady exclaimed.
"There’s also going to be a garden room, a hydroponic farm for growing fruits and flowers, plus a miniature ecosystem tank with nutrient-rich soil and plants adapted to aerial environments. Maybe even house a small animal," Xu Yang said gleefully.
It would be wonderful to grow some flowers and vegetables aboard Divine Radiance, and he could eat what he harvested.
"I won’t help you with farming!" Star Weaving Lady shouted.
"I’ll be doing the farming," Xu Yang supervised and managed the ship’s upgrade process. "Lastly, let’s discuss your projected virtual avatar. Let me see your virtual appearance."
Star Weaving Lady emerged from the control cabin. Her virtual avatar was a golden-haired girl in a white dress and over-the-knee white stockings.
"Hold onto that," Xu Yang said.
Soon after, thousands of drones were deployed from the warehouse to install the new expansion modules Xu Yang had requested, turning Divine Radiance into a vehicle tailored for his personal needs.
Meanwhile, Menon was preparing to return to the West Coast.
"Mr. Menon, thank you for your visit," Xu Yang said, shaking Menon’s hand in farewell.
"Commissioner Xu," Menon nodded to Xu Yang, "seize the development opportunities at Nestor Corporation. Your future is promising."
"I understand," Xu Yang nodded to Menon.
"During my stay in the Northern Archipelago, I sensed your splendid culture. Cultural prowess is remarkable—movie industries, anime industries, annual box office, yearly sales worth hundreds of billions, maybe even thousands. What’s that, really? Peanuts compared to true physical industries. But cultural influence... it truly spans all of humanity worldwide. Even on the West Coast, people hold comic conventions, wear anime costumes, draw fan comics, even have traditional attire-clad drones (D2s). That’s far more civilized than selling arms and automobiles," Menon said joyfully.
