"The hell he will!" Jake yelled out, then he was stepping forward and jerking me out of the girl’s grip. The girl manatee to slash over my arm and I cried out as hot pain shot through my entire body, making me start to feel drowsy as I felt myself bleed out even more.

"Are you okay?" Jake asked as he stared down at me after laying me on the ground.

Everywhere was a mess. The girl who just used me for a cover, was clearly trying to get another culprits from the looks of it, but at this point, the guards had finally surrounded her, and they even also managed to take her knife.

"I didnt do anything wrong, did I? I never hurt anyone here despite having many opportunities to. I never stole for anyone here, I’m only doing this because my sister is being held captive and the king of my kingdom is refusing to release her except I do this!" This time, the girl’s voice cracked around the edges and I instantly felt a stab of pity went through my body as she spoke.

"That’s none of our business! You’ll answer to the king. Now, let us go," the mastermind behind catching her drawled as he approached them.

The girl still continued to sob, and again, I felt a little pity for her before Jake pulled me back to the moment.

"You’re bleeding very badly, Lilac." Jake spoke and I let oou a pained breath as I glanced down at the slash over my arm. It looks quite deep, which is a reminder for me to not feel any pity for the spy. Sure, she’s being forced to do this against her will, but why hurt me?

"I’ll take you to the slaves infirmary." Jake said as he got to his feet.

At the same time, the spy who ese just crying now, let out a loud crackle that made everyone stiffen including myself, and my eyes instantly darted her way. I was more than shocked to see her staring at me, her eyes gleaming darkly in a way that made me feel creeped out.

"You fools can’t take me anywhere." The spy drawled, then with a flick of her finger, she was sending the guards flying into different directions.

Everyone gasped from shock, including myself as I gaped at her. I couldn’t believe what I just witnessed, which just means she had been lying about doing this for her sister.

She stepped forward to the man that poured that powder in the air. The man was no longer smiling, he had a wary and confused look across his face as he began to inch backward when the girl slowly began to approach him.

Behind the girl, one of the guards ran towards her, his spare pointed at her back. She didn’t even turn around, she only glanced over her shoulder after flicking her hand, throwing the guard into the nearest tree while everyone gasped

Once the man who had been backing awsy had nowhere else to inch back to, he let out an exhale as he regarded the girl with fright in his eyes.

"You were saying?" The girl drawled, a grin across her face but the man who was pale as hell only shook his head.

"I thought as much." The girl drawled as she inched even closer to the man, placing her opened palms over the man’s chest and sliding it downwards, making it appear hella seductive. Although, the man was cleerly not feeling aroused because instead, he was just nervous and frightened as hell.

"How about you send a message for me to the king?" The girl asked, her grin stretching out then she was leaning closer till their lips met.

Everyone stared in shock as she kissed the man hard. After pulling away, she coaxed his tongue out against his will, then she literally bit it off.

I was too stunned to even comprehend what I was witnessing right now.

Whoever this girl is, she’s unhinged as hell.

As the man screamed and cried, blood dripped from his mouth, his tongue in the middle of his legs.

"Aw, don’t cry so hard, you won’t be attractive that way." The girl crooned as she caressed his hair and cheeks. He was stuck tight there against his will and there would be no means to leave if he wanted to. _{f.(r)eewe/bnov\ll.com}

When I briefly glanced around, Iris was nowhere to be found: seems like she had ran away as soon as she noticed things going downhill.

Good for her.

As I stared at the sobbing man. I want to feel pity for her, but each time I remember him saying that I wasn’t important and could be killed just like that, I forced the pity I was feeling away at once.

"Now, since you can’t speak anymore.,. You’ll write it to the king. Tell him that Raven is here to collect his debt." As she spoke, she glanced around till her eyes focused on me and I felt the breath left my throat after she pointed at me.

At that same moment, forked tongue exited her mouth to swipe over her lips, making a hissing sound like the one that came from snakes, making me feel even more creeped out as she spoke.

"Tell him that’s the one I want. I already got a taste of his blood and it’s as sweet as nectar. I’ll be back for him in a few weeks."

I was gaping in shock, unable to believe my ears just as the girl who just finished speaking, morphed into a snake right in front of everyone, then she was slithering out of the slave quarters, and of course no one tried to stop her.

I was still frozen in shock as everyone turned around to state at me. Fright was churning in my stomach as I glanced up at Jake who had a Stoney expression on. Before I could say anything, he shook his head.

"Firstly, you’re injured... so let’s go take care of that first, hm?"
