When they were done with lunch, Ge Mengshu and Si Nan hugged Si Ning after escorting him and Liu Zhicheng outside while Liu Zhicheng already placed Si Ning’s travelling box in the car boot. Ge Mengshu made sure to give Si Ning a ’better behave’ eye making him have no choice but to enter the car with Liu Zhicheng if not his mother might get mad and he might see the lioness side of her that would make him wonder if it was the same mother that took care of him at the hospital for months and also when he got home.

Liu Zhicheng also didn’t say a word as he started the car and drove out to the street, it was quite uncomfortable in the car like dynamite was about to explode any minute.

"Stop the car!"

"I said stop the car!" Si Ning yelled, they had been on the road for one hour without saying a word and he was still angry that after he woke up he was in a happy bliss that he didn’t even call Liu Ting once and Liu Zhicheng didn’t tell him about her condition, that action of his might get him the award of being an ’a**hole of the year’.

"No stop the car!" Si Ning yelled this time he banged his hand on the dashboard which made Liu Zhicheng pull over immediately. Si Ning opened the car door and got out, not wanting to be in the same space as Liu Zhicheng because he was angry, angry at himself and angry at Liu Zhicheng. Liu Zhicheng said in one breath. "Please forgive me, Si Ning, I know that...."

Si Ning was dumbfounded, he wanted to be angry but he wasn’t. "Is Liu Yuan and Liu Junjie also Xiu Yuan and Xiu Junjie." He interrupted Liu Zhicheng.

"I am not but they look like my children then and I believe they are the reincarnation of Xiu Yuan and Xiu Junjie." Liu Zhicheng replied. "Si Ning I have nothing to do with their mothers...."

Si Ning was so happy that a tear slid down his eye, when Liu Zhicheng saw this, he wanted to pull over to check what was wrong. "No keep going I am just happy." He admitted.

"Happy about my sons?" Liu Zhicheng asked, his brows furrowed in confusion, his palms sweaty.

"Yes, I keep thinking that if you didn’t have them then they won’t exist, it is so sad that I kept being lost in my world and I know it’s selfish of me but I want everyone to be together, I wonder if Ah Dai or Xiao Pei exist and I wonder what if they do but got aborted by their mothers or what if they had a terrible disease and die young or they are just gone or born later or earlier because Chen An told me that Su Heng in this life is older, far older and it is all so confusing Zhicheng." Si Ning finally said all the confusion that had always been bothering him. "I am happy that in this world you have no heart disease and Xiu Yuan and Xiu Junjie are fine too and my mother is fine."

It was then Liu Zhicheng pulled up into the garage of his apartment building and he pulled Si Ning into a hug, kissing his tears and wiping them, when Si Ning was done sobbing and let go of Liu Zhicheng, they got out of the car and head to the lift with Liu Zhicheng pulling Si Ning’s travelling box behind him, a peaceful silence between them.

"Oh, Si Ning you are back." Liu Ting said the moment the door got unlocked, she was dressed in a pink gown and was standing behind the door to show she had been expecting them.

Si Ning’s eyes fell on her protruding stomach, there was no doubt she was pregnant. "Ting Ting." It was all like a dream but he could see it right with his eyes that Liu Ting was indeed carrying a child.

"You shouldn’t look so shocked." Liu Ting said as she collected Liu Zhicheng’s coat. "We need to talk, I made some food, call it lunch, dinner or whatever."

"I have some business in the office, I have to go." Liu Zhicheng said and collected his coat from Liu Ting then head out immediately.

Liu Ting and Si Ning sat down in the living room. Liu Ting didn’t waste any time as she started talking like she couldn’t wait to get rid of a burden weighing her down. She talked about being three weeks pregnant when Si Ning had his accident, she received Si Ning’s text and thought Si Ning was depressed due to work and wanted to die since he fell into the sea to perhaps take his life and that was why he sent her a breakup text and she regretted that if she had told Si Ning about the pregnancy maybe Si Ning would never think of dying and during her confusion and struggles of trying to be strong, she fell ill falling into an on and off short naps where she had dreams in between but it wasn’t a dream but a remembrance of a life she had and she knew deep down the life was real.

On her visit to the hospital, she met Liu Zhicheng looking at Si Ning with longing and after she consulted Liu Zhicheng about her dreams and thoughts, hoping she wasn’t crazy when Liu Zhicheng shed light on it and she discovered that even though she was in love with Si Ning but she knew and accepted that Si Ning wasn’t her’s and she told Liu Zhicheng about the pregnancy and told him not to tell Si Ning because she was trying to sort out her thought and tell Si Ning herself but for her selfish reasons she wants something connecting her with Si Ning and that was why she didn’t give up on the baby and even introduced herself to Si Ning’s family.

Si Ning had never been a cry baby but since he woke up in the modern day world, he had been crying a lot with his heart filled with sadness, happiness, gratitude and confusion. He cried for a long time asking Liu Ting to forgive him for all he put her through, he apologized for being careless and drinking irresponsibly then for falling into the sea then he stayed on his knees until Liu Ting accepted his apology and told him to be happy with Liu Zhicheng.

When Liu Ting left Si Ning with swollen eyes went into the bedroom because he knew Liu Zhicheng left the house to give them space to talk. He found the bedroom and laid on the bed and fell into a deep sleep, that night when Liu Zhicheng returned, he changed Si Ning’s cloth and Si Ning didn’t wake up, he only continued sleeping then Liu Zhicheng slipped a ring onto his ring finger, a silver ring that matches his.
