The way Si Ning stood up suddenly made Song Feng quickly jump up too in a rush and his eyes almost bulge out of his sockets when he saw that their location had been detected.

The man was very tall, just as tall as the Yang tribe people, he wasn’t huge but anyone could see that he had a wide ripped chest even though he had an armour covering it, the armour indicating he was a soldier from Xilie different from the men Ge Liang hired, his wide chest and built arms must be due to training, his eyes were gentle and he wore an amusing expression as he looked at Si Ning, a sword was strapped to his waist but his hands was folded showing no sign he was going to reach for his sword even though Si Ning was pointing his sword at him. Just the man’s stance and appearance Si Ning knew he must be an important person, perhaps a Commander of Xilie’s army.

It was then Song Feng blocked Si Ning’s view in a protective stance and raised his hands into fists and got himself steady to fight off the man but his clenched fists and the way he was standing didn’t match his serious look at all because everything about his stance was all wrong that if he even tries to throw a punch it would be like a fly hitting a man and both Si Ning and the man knew that Song Feng had no base in martial art.

"Stay behind me, I will protect you." Song Feng declared.

Si Ning doesn’t have the energy to tell Song Feng to stand down so he only stepped aside to stay next to Song Feng and he could see that the man had a funny expression like he was looking at a bunch of jokes.

"What do we have here?" He asked in an amusing voice like he was watching something funny and interesting.

"If you are a wise man you should know I can kill you just by taking a step." Si Ning said firmly with so much confidence, that no one could stop him, he was going to kill the man before those at the camp notice them.

Si Ning took another step to the side, his sword pointed at the man and he was ready to finish their fight in the next second, all he need was to pinpoint a delicate part and he was going to go for the eyes and neck at the same time, he wasn’t blinded by revenge but this time he was going to perform his duty to his mother as a son by killing Ge Liang and his duty as a General to Xiu by killing Qiu Bai and he was determined to perform those duties flawlessly and the tall one in front of him couldn’t stop him.

"If you keep acting like that you will soon drop dead brother." A man that was leaning casually on a tree said.

Si Ning’s eyes widened he had no idea they were two and worst he didn’t even notice the second man, he doesn’t know if it was the injuries and loss of blood that made his senses dull but he was now in a pinch, he could fight the two but he couldn’t protect Song Feng so he was in a dangerous situation but he wasn’t going to panic he was actually calmer, his eyes like a predator as he watched how far the other man was to them.

The other man that was as tall as the man before him wasn’t holding any weapon but had his hands folded too so Si Ning doesn’t know if he was holding a dagger or knife and was ready to throw if anything was amiss.

"He has a funny hairstyle and a handsome face with a fierce look and sharp tongue, he must be an important person." The other man in front of Si Ning said. "He seems strong but with those injuries, you can’t fend us off." He pointed out.

Si Ning chuckled. "You should draw your sword because I will attack you." He said the next course of action was to attack and find a way to escape with Song Feng.

"Wait, you do not seem like you want to harm us." Song Feng said.

The other man leaning on the tree now turned to face them like he was also watching something funny and the man standing in front of Si Ning didn’t admit he wanted to hurt or not hurt them but he still didn’t draw his sword nor demand who they were, his hands now akimbo as he smiled still wearing an amusing look.

"Really?" The man chuckled.

"He is the Empress of Xiu, General Si Ning and if you let us go, he will give you riches beyond your imagination." Song Feng blurted out briskly.

Si Ning’s eyes widened in shock as he snapped his head to Song Feng, his mouth fell open in disbelief as his face went pale. "What the hell are you doing Song Feng! Why did I even bring you! You this..You..!" He bit his bottom lip because he first had to deal with the enemies first before having time for Song Feng but when he snapped his head back hoping to see the man quickly attack him but he saw the two men’s faces had become so serious as they stared at him.

"General Si Ning of Xiu, isn’t he dead?" The man asked as if he directed his question at Si Ning and Song Feng or directed his question at the man that called him brother looking for an affirmation.

"Surprise I am alive." Si Ning used his free hand snd pushed Song Feng forward.

Song Feng was expecting it so he stumbled, moving forward and falling on the man before them, forcing the man to push Song Feng away but this movement made Si Ning thrust his sword forward with a calculation that when he threw Song Feng off he was going to stab him in the stomach but the man was sharp to jerk backwards but Si Ning swiftly moved forward, raised his leg so sudden ready to jump kick the man but the man bent immediately avoiding the kick.

Si Ning twisted in mid air to bring his leg down on the man’s neck but the man dodged by jerking backwards making Si Ning’s leg land on the ground then Si Ning used his other leg to back kick him which the man block with his arm but before Si Ning could swing his sword the man jumped back. He had learned a great deal about using his legs from Shen Yu and Yang Sheng, all his attacks would have succeeded only if the man wasn’t that skilled but he evaded all his attacks. All that happened within seconds that the other man leaning on the tree was now alert as he moved forward, his mouth slightly open to show how surprised he was that they underestimated the wounded man in front of them.

"That is no mere move of a soldier, son of our Young Mistress." He muttered. "I can see the resemblance."

Our Young Mistress?

The other man quickly came forward too and nodded like the first man was right. Both now standing side by side it was then Si Ning saw that the other man who looked a bit young and alike to the older man and wasn’t holding any weapon.

"Come before they come here." The man said. "I am not going to harm you, I am the Commander of the Ge family army Lan Zhang and this is my younger brother Lan Wan." He introduced himself.

Si Ning frowned because the men before him seem to give no intention to hurt him and he turned to see that their location was already found out because five soldiers a hundred mile away were now looking in their direction so he nodded firmly and had no choice than to follow after giving a death glare to Song Feng because Song Feng giving out his identity was something he never expected but it might be what was going to safe them so he decided to forgive Song Feng only based on what was going to happen to them.

Lan Wan waved to the men looking in their direction to show all was well and they all turned and started walking away out of view of the camp.
