At that moment Liu MingXia swallowed her words and Jiang ChenMu knew he shouldn’t be there but since Xiao Pei wasn’t around to stay as Si Ning’s guard made him be in a dilemma not knowing whether to leave or not.

Without a word Liu MingXia stood up and bowed slowly to the Queen Dowager and then to Si Ning before leaving and Jiang ChenMu also stood up and saluted the Queen Dowager, he straightened up and turned to Si Ning’s direction waiting for his permission to leave and when he saw Si Ning nod once at him then gestured for him to leave made Jiang ChenMu to also leave the room to stand outside.

Si Ning narrowed his eyes, the last person he would ever think of seeing was the Queen Dowager, he had even forgotten she exist, after he made sure that Concubine Ling, the Crown Prince and Xiu Yuan were safe, he forgot to send men to search for the Queen Dowager but now seeing her look, he could tell she was more than okay for her to barge into the room with an angry stance but since Si Ning was sitting in the dayroom and not the main bedroom he doesn’t think the Queen Dowager was here to complain about him using the Zhonghua Palace but to Si Ning, all that his husband own was his too, the only thing he couldn’t and shouldn’t touch was Xiu Zhicheng Concubines but apart from that he had the right to everything else, he even saw the two Princes as his stepchildren and the modern-day married right was what a husband owns the wife owns it too and vice versa.

"How dare you, Si Ning!" The Queen Dowager yelled in anger. "How dare you!" She said out of spite.

Si Ning rolled his eyes like he had been expecting her to complain, he didn’t make any move to stand up to salute her. It was the first time he ever submit to his impulse by acting as he wanted, rolling his eyes and not even saying his greetings to her and he felt neither good nor bad doing it but what he knows was that he was going to feel extremely bad if he doesn’t do it.

"My son didn’t leave for a day, it is not up to a day yet and you Si Ning wreaked havoc in the palace, many died! and you even made the courtroom your judgement room?" The Queen Dowager continued after seeing that Si Ning made no move to reply her. "And then you want to go to war and leave the palace in the hands of people that don’t have Imperial blood running in them and Concubine Liu who is nothing but a useless being!" She yelled, her eyes burning with extreme anger, her voice stern and hard like the world should revolve around her.

Si Ning wasn’t calm, he badly wanted to but his hands were still shaking and all that he heard her say made him so annoyed so he stood up, this sudden movement made the Queen Dowager step back. "Do you think the palace being attacked is my fault? Many died but am I the one who caused this?" He asked, his voice higher than normal, his eyes widened with an unbelievable look that the Queen Dowager just walked in to do nothing but to put a blame on him, she didn’t even try to praise him for getting the Palace under control with his army, if he wasn’t in the palace and he had no reserved force then the Palace would have been taken over which means Xiu Zhicheng had no place to return to.

"Yes, you did! Who do you think you are? You are nothing! you are a wretch.... and you will apologize to me for ruining the palace and you will take your words back about those that will run the palace, it should be me! for all, for all I care you can go die at war!" The Queen Dowager snapped.

The instant she stopped talking, the air surrounding Si Ning changed, it shifted to become still and the air almost turn to black even though the air cannot be seen but at that moment the Queen Dowager even overlapped Si Ning’s face with that of a tiger but when she blinked it was just Si Ning, her heart was already racing and her breath was coming short but she stood her ground not understanding why she seemed nervous and why a little voice at the back of her head kept telling her she shouldn’t be there, her throat going instantly dry. Si Ning could see that the Queen Dowager wished him dead and she even dared to say it to his face which was quite funny to him.

"Hmm hmm hmm hmmm." Si Ning chuckled without opening his mouth as he picked up his sword. "Where were you during the attack?" He asked not because he was curious but because he thought of it and he said it out loud.

"What?" The Queen Dowager frowned.

"What are you now? Do you expect me to report to you?" She asked sarcastically.

Si Ning laughed out loud like he just heard a joke that even tears came out of his eyes and the Queen Dowager took a small step back as her frowning changed to confusion. "I bet you were hiding between your tails?" He said gently after he stopped laughing, his voice low like he was talking to a child.

Liu MingXia reported that Queen Dowager was nowhere to be found which means she went to hide, she hid without caring about her grandchildren and that was a cowardly thing to do yet she came to blame someone either to make herself feel better or to just vent her anger.

"Wha...." The Queen Dowager swallowed her words immediately as she took a step back because Si Ning took a step forward in a staggered movement like he purposely did it which seemed scary to her as he swayed left then right, his outer dark robe making his movement slow.

"Who do you think I am....? I am the Empress of Xiu! Am I nothing? No, I am a great General Si Ning of Xiu!" Si Ning said in a low commanding voice as he chuckled then he tilted his head taking a step one after the other making the Queen Dowager take a few steps back. "You didn’t have a hand to do with the position I am today, to do with me becoming a General and the Empress so how dare you a Queen... talk down on me!" He yelled and watched as the Queen Dowager shook in fright. "You Ancient relic that never became an Empress shouldn’t but in when the Empress say a word." He unsheathed his sword and raised it, it was almost dawn but the sword was glittering, he only took the sword because time wasn’t by his side so he wanted to inspect it to see if it was properly polished, he drew it closer to his face then stuck out his tongue just to use the tip to touch the sword to see if it was real steel or metal but it tasted like cold steel.

At that moment the Queen Dowager imagined that Si Ning licked the side of the blade from the bottom to the top like a crazy person even though Si Ning only touched the steel with the tip of his tongue but this scared the Queen Dowager so much that she bit her tongue when something told her she should run out of the room because when a zebra enters a lion’s den, it was definitely asking for death.

The Si Ning she was looking at was bolder like a man who had nothing to lose, like someone who would cut off her head and even smile when he sees the head rolled on the floor without a care about the consequences because Xiu Zhicheng might not even have the power to punish him if Si Ning really wanted to go against him, the Imperial army stand no chance.

"Next time you act disrespectfully towards me will be the day you will lose your tongue and be thrown into the cold water prison and there is nothing your son Xiu Zhicheng can do about it." Si Ning concluded gently like a man speaking soothing words to a baby, he turned his back to put his sword in his sheath knowing if the Queen Dowager like herself, she was going to leave without saying a word.

"General, Yun is ready." Xiao Pei that stepped in announced then he bowed briefly to Queen Dowager and then turned to face Si Ning to show he had no business with Queen Dowager.

"Let’s go." Si Ning grabbed the two bottles the Imperial Doctor gave to him and gave them to Xiao Pei, he was kind of enjoying it that the Queen Dowager seemed to have finally shut her mouth and he left the room without even saluting the Queen Dowager.

The Queen Dowager released the breath she was holding and fell to the floor, she sat on the floor like someone who had been defeated as she took deep breaths, the collar of her robe drenched in sweat, her hands shaking and a cold sweat ran down her spine and it seemed like she just escapes a death panel as she dabs the sweat on her face with her hand.
