"Eh eh eh eh ehhhhh....." Si Ning laughed like a maniac as he used a hand to cover his eyes, laughing so loudly as he stepped back into the room, Qiu Bai had finally done it, and Xilie had finally taken so much more from him, and do they think they would get away with it.

They must pay! and at that moment Si Ning doesn’t care about hiding, his mother stayed at her home and fought so why should he run away like a coward, why should he hide and strategize, why should he abandon the Palace just to save his head, he was not only an Empress but he was the Great General Si Ning and no one would chase him out of his home.

"General, please let us leave the palace first then I will present my head to you." Xiao Pei said gently not understanding why Si Ning kept taking a step back.

"Jiang Ye and Wei, will they live?" Si Ning asked as he lowered his hand to reveal one eye, an eye that was now burning with life it looked scary.

"Oh, the wounded ones, I found a mute woman who took them in to hide them in the basement under the shed for treatment." Yi Chen replied.

Ah Dai’s mother.

It was quite funny that Ah Dai’s mother was willing to save Jiang Ye and Wei when she had no idea how her son was doing in the Palace, Ah Dai worked for him day and night and refused to go on a break or go home to see his mother and now Si Ning was regretting it that he didn’t force Ah to go home once, if he had maybe she would have at least seen her son for the last time at least that memory would keep her going.

Si Ning finally dropped his hand from his face and he untied his hair to retie it, he loosen his belt letting his outer robe fall on the floor as he flung the belt to the floor, the robe was too big and was going to obstruct his movement. "When will the reserved force get here?" He asked in a straight tune as he turned his hand to see his ring.

Xiao Pei stepped back because Si Ning’s eyes were blazing like he was about to commit murder. "Before Midnight." He replied quickly.

"So I am the best archer in the Nation?" Si Ning asked, his expression so serious as he looked directly into Xiao Pei’s eyes.

"Yes General." Xiao Pei replied clearly confused about where the questions and answers were going.

It was quite funny that Si Ning relied on Chen An who was ranked fourth among the archers in the Nation to take down Shen Yu in the last war but knowing now that he was the best archer in the whole Nation means he must be perfect and the bow should feel like an added length to his hand. Si Ning didn’t even train his sword skill for months nor do he know advanced martial art yet he was still able to handle his sword well for him to beat Yang Sheng, he even copied Yang Sheng’s kicking technique easily like it was already part of him. Si Ning gestured for Yi Chen to give him the bow and he also collected the bag of arrows and strapped it behind him. Xiao Pei seemed relieved that his Master was finally serious about leaving because even Concubine Liu MingXia’s guards were already cut into half which means they lack the power to fight back so they must flee.

Si Ning positioned the bow and first pulled the string watching it bounce back, he knew at that moment it was a good bow with how the weight balanced in his hand, just the way he examined the bow showed him that he was a master of the bow, he turned to look at Ah Dai’s lifeless body then back to the group of people waiting for him. "I General Si Ning, the Empress of Xiu will not leave the palace, I will stay and fight I am not running." He declared.

Xiao Pei’s eyes widened like he was about to complain then his eyes lowered to show a determined relieved expression then he opened his mouth and said. "General, what is the plan?"

Liu MingXia mouth fell open like she couldn’t believe what was happening right before her eyes, even her guards seemed shocked like they were watching two crazy people speaking gibberish yet understanding one another but when Liu MingXia turned to see Yi Chen maybe he was going to add his own opinion, she was shocked to see him nodding like he agreed that they shouldn’t leave, she knew right then she was not working alongside normal people.

"MingXia you and your guards will go to the east gate and escape the palace with Concubine Liu and Xiu Junjie, you will make sure to protect yourself too and I, Yi Chen, and Xiao Pei will go to the courtroom, I have an emergency meeting to call." Si Ning said out his plan, his gaze directed to Liu MinXia without blinking.

Liu MingXia nodded once. "The three of you." She pointed to three of her guards. "Go and make sure you protect Concubine Ling and the Crown Prince with your life, do not leave the palace because like my Elder brother said we are not running away and we will take this palace tonight." She said out her orders with a determined expression.

"Yes, Your Highness." One of the guards replied and the three ran and disappeared into the dark.

Si Ning could see Liu MingXia was determined to come with them so he didn’t complain because they had no time to waste trying to convince Liu MingXia to leave but Liu MingXia stance already showed him she was a good fighter. "Yi Chen and Liu MingXia with the rest of you will hide and take out as many enemies while I and Xiao Pei will distract them to face us." He turned after seeing them nodded and then started heading out of the room through the broken door, he was never going to take the window. Xiao Pei grabbed Si Ning’s sword as he fell behind him.

There were corpses of the Jasmine servants and guards lying on the way which Si Ning had to jump over and when he stepped outside the main door with Xiao Pei. He saw the rest of the servants and guards all tied up, four men dressed in black holding swords pointing at them were standing before them, the four were also among the Servants of the Jasmine palace and when they saw Si Ning, their eyes holds fear to show they never expected him to walk out alive even those tied up seemed to be shocked and also relieved that their Master came for them and wasn’t dead.

"Ya..." One of the guards yelled and rushed towards Si Ning, the other three joined too.

Si Ning stretched his hand behind him, above his head, and naturally took one arrow, he positioned his bow and placed the arrow at the side of the string then pulled it up, the skill came to him naturally and he pulled the arrow then released it, the arrow flew and pierced the first guard in his heart and just as fast as lighting Si Ning took another arrow and pulled again, he released it that arrow pierced the second guard heart, then Si Ning took two more arrows, set it on the bow and pulled both at the same time, he released and it pierced the other two right in their heart and just like a sack of potatoes, they all fell.

Xiao Pei moved and cut off the ropes binding the servants and guards together and they all turned to kowtow to Si Ning.

"Forgive us Your Majesty for our failure to prevent this attack!" One of the guards said.

"Forgive us...." The rest chorused as they kowtowed and raised their heads.

"You you." Si Ning pointed to some random servants in the midst, he had no time to waste "I want you both to enter my room and protect the body of my personal guard Ah Dai and you you." He pointed to two guards. "Guard Yang Sheng’s body and make sure you protect the body and not allow anyone to carry it."

"Yes Your Majesty." The guards replied sharply as they jumped up and ran into the palace the two Servants Si Ning pointed to followed.

"The four of you." Si Ning pointed to four guards.

"Yes Your Majesty!" They replied instantly.

"Stay and protect the palace, the rest of the Servants clean the palace, while the rest of the guards follow me." Si Ning turned to head out at once.

Just like that Si Ning started to match in determined steps towards the courtroom and anyone that ran to attack him got shut down by his arrows, if they were many enemies running at the same time Xiao Pei and his guards dealt with them, in the process leaving Liu MingXia and her guards that appeared to rescue any tied guards on Si Ning’ way while Si Ning advanced without stopping.
