Xiu Ting said as she stood up. "If Your Majesty will excuse me." She bowed and before Si Ning could excuse her, she left in a hurry.

Just like that Xiu Ting dropped a bomb on him and left, Si Ning had no idea what to do with the information, he wasn’t able to ask if it was true or not or where she got the source of information, Xiao Pei wasn’t with him to investigate, Chen An had gone to war and now Si Ning could finally see why Qiu Bai said Xiu was already rotten to the core.

Si Ning rose ready to send a message for Xiao Pei to come and aid him, if Xiu TianZhao didn’t go to war then his assistance would be needed greatly but after taking a step a wave of dizziness assaulted him, a sense of rush and uneasiness rushed over him as his body started to produce sweat, a bead of sweat forming on his forehead that his hands were even starting to shake, he doesn’t understand what was happening with his body as his eyes started to close instantly that he blinked and he was feeling so sleepy that he staggered then he found himself falling to the floor, he needs to call Ah Dai.

Si Ning opened his eyes it was all dark, he remembered to be falling but who was it that put off all the candles and lanterns, he remembered he fell beside his table so he wanted to touch the table but failed, he tried to feel anything around him perhaps those documents he had been checking but ended up feeling nothing. The darkness was annoying he wanted to hiss but then it suddenly became brighter, chasing the darkness instantly away for him to only see nothing but sand.

It was the dream, the same dream he used to have but suddenly stopped having, from the pattern of him having that same dream seemed to be caused by him being unconscious.

"I need to wake up." Si Ning was so worried because it was disturbing not having a physical body but could feel the temperature of the same desert so he braced himself for the impact of the same suffering of the scorching sun that was making his feet and head hot it was so uncomfortable because it seemed the sun was concentrated on his scalp and under his feet.

Since he stopped having that dream, Si Ning had forgotten about the dream, he didn’t even try to find if the dream had a meaning not that he believed in dreams but maybe if he had tried to find a solution the dream would have stopped. He was in a dire situation, Xiu was in a dire situation so he needed to wake up from the nightmare fast but what was disturbing was him feeling dizzy and suddenly falling to the floor.

Si Ning’s eyes widened, it was a common quote that the most lethal of all enemies was no stranger but why did Xiu Ting have to go through the stress of feeding him what might have been lies about the Ministers after giving him cookies to eat was what he doesn’t understand then the scenery to changed to the situation of him sinking in the water, he should have expected the scenery change but he was lost in thoughts and now he was drowning.

Si Ning had no idea what was going to happen if he doesn’t swim upward, he needed to find a way to wake up fast and arrest Xiu Ting. It would pain him to arrest her but she needed to be questioned. He started to swim upward aggressively, his hot body from the impact of the sun in the desert already turning cold, just as expected a hazy figure was above him standing on the water. The last time he checked the figure was him, he was still swimming when the scenery changed and he was now in the green field, he saw himself, they seemed closer than he remembered, it was the same blonde hair, pink top, and dark blue jeans then Si Ning had the craziest idea to chase and talk to them maybe he would likely figure out the purpose of the dream.

"I have to wake up but I want to talk to you!" Si Ning yelled at the top of his voice.

Seeing that the figure was starting to move away, he quickly started to run towards him, he remembered the next scenery was in the woods in the cold and he doesn’t want that so he carried his nonexistent body and double his pace, he might be able to reach him to talk to him, it was weird for him to want to talk to himself but he had to, just as usual, the more he ran the more he felt that his modern self was getting away, his heart beating fast but his double pace worked, he was catching up and all that was needed was a little more for him to catch them only for the scenery to change to the woods.

"Fuck! Almost, damn! I almost had you." Si Ning yelled out some curses, he had to deal with the harsh weather of snow falling making his temperature dropped instantly and it was so cold he started to shiver, the cold sipping through his nonexistent body, crawling all over him, he raised his head all he could see was his modern self being closer to him and he was standing still.

"You stupid are you not cold? go out from the cold." Si Ning yelled, annoyed.

Si Ning made no move to move forward, the snow was falling fast it would be a pain for him to move forward so all he had to do was to endure till the scenery changed, the snow was already covering his modern self up, Si Ning doesn’t like it, he felt his modern self needed his protection so he struggled and started to move forward, a step at a time.

"I am coming just stay there, right there." Si Ning said, he took another step but the scenery changed to that of the greenfield, and the weather that was neither hot nor cold, it was just the perfect temperature making him warm all over again in a field that was part brown, withered so dry while the other part was perfect fine green, Si Ning was once again amazed by how green the grass was, a greenfield look so nice like the most experience person was taking care of him while the field had the perfect amount of water and sunlight.

His modern self was standing in few steps in the greener part away from the brown wither field their back turned to Si Ning but Si Ning was standing in the withered field all he had to do was to take a step to the greenish part and grabbed them by the shoulder even though he had no hand.

"Hey hey can you hear me?" Si Ning tried to step into the greener part but an invincible force was blocking him then the modern him turned to face him.

Just like how Si Ning remembered himself looking at the mirror in the modern world that was how he was looking at him, looking at himself, his modern self had no expression, he looked serious and he shook his head right then left, his eyes on Si Ning it was almost scary but because Si Ning had beautiful set of eyes he so he wasn’t afraid.

"What do you mean?" Si Ning asked. "Why are you shaking your head? who are you? Are you really me? Talk to me."His modern him with the blonde hair raised a hand and just like the invisible force was part of him, he extended his hand in a push motion without touching the invisible Si Ning but that made Si Ning feel a force pushed him back he flung his eyes opened to see a man above him in a motion to stab him with a long sharp sword, Si Ning quickly rolled out of the way as the sword collided with the floor.
