Chapter 465 – Aiko vs Moles

A small Fox dashed between the Cultivators, startling them.

"It's Fox from Fox Tribe! Get her!"

The Cultivators suddenly realised the abnormality of the situation and chased after the Fox, but most of them would have to clear the board again, while the small Fox didn't need to.

She just hopped on those platforms without making them fall and bypassed everything and everyone.

'It's good that I don't really need to care about those tests.' Aiko hummed happily as she made it outside.

She hid in the grass and quickly sneaked back to her group.

"I have finished~" Aiko happily hummed.

"Congratulations~" The Demonic Foxes congratulated Aiko, but there was a certain other who was even happier.

"Welcome back~!" As expected of Yuqi, she was clinging to Aiko like her life depended on it.

"Why are you like this?" Aiko rolled her eyes.

"Because I thought you would abandon me?" Yuqi blinked her eyes slowly.

"I'm considering it." Moon Aikoo ruthlessly told the Flower Demon.

"Don't! I will be nice!" Yuqi cried out. "I know a lot about the next Inheritance Site!" She also added this part to make sure this cute Fox would not abandon her.

Aiko narrowed her eyes and glanced at the Demonic Foxes from the Sacred Realm.

"It might be possible, since Flower Demons can communicate with nature." The Demonic Foxes slowly nodded their heads. It was possible that the Flower Demon was telling the truth, since nature overtook this Sacred Realm.

And with her current skills, it would not be a stretch to know what the Demonic Foxes were doing in their own palace!

"What is the next one?" Aiko doubted the Flower Demon.

"Fight, many fights. Those tests have special enemies that are resistant to certain things, and you have to deal with them accordingly." Yuqi nodded her head.

"Hmmmmmm..." Aiko did want to see how much she improved, and she also wanted to see if she could mix Moon Aiko and Nightmare Aiko.

The first one would find out their weaknesses, while the second one would deal with them.

"Then let's go." Aiko happily hummed as chaos ensued behind her.

The 'hill cave' slowly collapsed back into the plains, like it never existed to begin with, and most of the Cultivators had to dig themselves out.

They were trying to figure out who had scammed them, but they believed that it was a Fox.

However, when the ones outside questioned them, everyone outside came to the conclusion that it was a Human who got that Treasure and just used a common Fox to distract them.

However, those buried and taking the tests insisted that it was a Fox.

Needless to say, there was a big fight, but Aiko didn't care as she was almost to her second Inheritance Site...

"It's not a cave? But there are not that many Cultivators?" Aiko narrowed her eyes.

"That's because of the difficulty. Unlike other Inheritance Sites, which usually have normal Monsters. Monsters in this place periodically renew themselves, so it was difficult to progress inside." Yuqi shared what she gathered from nature, which impressed both Demonic Foxes and Aiko.

"There are around 80 enemies you have to clear on the way in." Yuqi counted them one by one.

"And 80 on the way out, huh?" Aiko frowned slightly. "That's quite a lot. What is the Treasure for this Inheritance Site?"

"It's a weapon, but we don't know what kind it is..." The Demonic Foxes apologised to Aiko, since they had no idea what was truly inside.

"It's fine." Aiko nodded her head gently. "I will be going in then~" She hummed happily.

"Will everything be alright?" One Demonic Fox looked quite worried.

"Only through battles will she learn how to take care of herself." Another Demonic Fox shook her head. It was important for Aiko to experience this. Otherwise, she might suffer in the future thanks to the lack of experience.

Aiko walked into the strange building. It was unlike any other building that she had seen.

Instead of being made out of wood or precious minerals, this large building was made out of bricks.

It was quite sturdy and long, but what startled Aiko the most-

'It's bigger on the inside.' Aiko licked her lips as she inspected the Inscriptions on the walls.

'There are Inscriptions that raise each material's durability to the peak, while the main component should be an Array that is located somewhere inside.' Aiko slowly nodded her head as she went to the next room.

The rooms were not separated by any doors or anything, and most rooms so far were completely empty and lifeless.

This startled Aiko since she expected many enemies.

As if hearing her prayers, the room got locked by an Array, and monsters suddenly appeared.

They looked like fragile walking twigs.

They were as thick as a tree, but without the crown, and their roots were used to move around.

Aiko could feel some kind of Core inside their bodies, but she was unsure if it was Beast Core or something else.

She pulled out her sling and tested its destructive capability.

As expected, the twigs were quickly dealt with, and nothing was left of them.

It felt like they were not real since they vanished into a mist.

Aiko squinted her eyes again. It seemed like there were 8 rooms full of monsters, since this room had 10 of them.

Walking into the next room, it looked even more dilapidated than the previous one.

'It's a subtle change, but it feels the deeper I go, the bigger the rooms are and the more ruined they are.' Aiko narrowed her eyes as she progressed.

The room got locked once again, and this time it was a pack of wolves.

'These have Beast Cores, but it's difficult to reach them.' Moon Aiko nodded her head, but this simple motion was a mistake.

A wolf's mouth was already in front of her face, and she was barely able to dodge to the side.

'F-fast!' Nightmare Aiko came out and was quite shocked. Those wolves were as quick as her, and she couldn't use any kind of movement abilities!

Nightmare Aiko dodged around and sometimes used her fists to bash the wolves, but the damage was minimal.

Nightmare Aiko's tails quickly changed into hungry mouths that attacked the wolves.

It was quite a struggle since they would bite each other, and that caused Aiko to lose health, since it was attached to her tails.

'It's not the worst, but I don't like it...' Aiko groaned as she shielded her body with her tail, before using her other tails to munch on the wolves.

It took her 20 minutes to finish all the wolves, but what was the most startling fact was-

'There are only 9 wolves?' Aiko didn't like what she was seeing, since that meant there would be more rooms than she expected.

Aiko walked into the next room, and the doors 'closed' once again.

'What kind of enemy will be here?' Moon Aiko squinted her eyes.

She suddenly felt a presence behind her and jumped back.

'A... mole?' Aiko blinked a few times, but that mole immediately went underground, hiding from Aiko.

'...' Moon Aiko changed to Nightmare Aiko and squinted her eyes again.

She pulled up a large club and readied her body into striking position.

A mole popped in front of Aiko.

She whacked it on the head, but the mole was only temporarily stunned before going back into the ground again.

"This is..." Nightmare Aiko's lips twitched.

Aiko was wheezing since she was whacking them for a good two hours, but it seemed they were slowing down.

"I don't want to do this any more!" Nightmare Aiko whined. It was fine the first few times, but after a while, it became quite burdensome to her.

It was also a great bother that those bastards would just pop up randomly, so she had to move a lot, too.

'If I didn't have such insane Stamina, I would be bitten to death...' Aiko whined inside her mind like she was whining outside.

Aiko obliterated the club since she used all her strength, and even the ground cracked slightly.

Aiko was wheezing even more, not due to exhaustion, but anger.

There were still bastards popping up in a similar fashion, like her veins appearing on her forehead.

"FUUUUUUUUUUUCK! I HAD ENOUGH! YOU FUCKING SHITTY BASTARDS!" It had been quite some time since Aiko blew up like this, but the consequences were unimaginable...

Aiko immediately pulled out severed heads from her Storage Rings and started to throw them at the moles!

"How do you think Aiko is doing?" One Demonic Fox asked curiously.

"I think she is doing well..." The second Demonic Fox joined the conversation.

Suddenly, a part of the roof of the Inheritance Site blew up.

"..." The Demonic Foxes exchanged looks, but before they could utter anything-

Yet another explosion reverberated from the house.

"Is she alright...?" The Demonic Foxes looked concerned.

Now, even part of the roof was taken away by the explosion and clay shingles were scattered everywhere.

"We should probably see if she is alright, right?" One Demonic Fox gulped.

*Boom*

A large part of the roof was completely obliterated.

"HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!" A maniacal laughter spread from within. "This is what you get, you shitty bastards!" Aiko's voice carried her anger.

*BOOOOOOOOOOOM*

The whole roof now exploded in a cloud of burning mushroom.

The Demonic Foxes suddenly shrank back.

"Is that really the cute Aiko...?"

"Surely not?"

"I don't believe it."

The Demonic Foxes denied it vehemently, but it was obvious that only Aiko went inside...

"Hahahaha!" Aiko laughed as destruction spread all around her. She had already run out of severed heads, so she was using Spirit Stones now.

However, the destruction was not enough to take out the moles.

"Fuck! You asked for it!" Aiko pulled out a Spirit Crystal and charged it with all her might!

She threw it to the middle of the room to take out all of the remaining moles...

The Spirit Crystal violently exploded, and it blasted Aiko through the walls like they were made out of paper.

Aiko coughed up blood, but she was quite satisfied with her work!

"Good riddance. Bastards like them should just bend over and die." Aiko spat out some blood before wiping her mouth.

Looking around them, she was quite speechless when she noticed that she was in the final room.

Aiko snapped her fingers happily. "That's how you clear Inheritance Sites." It was obvious she was quite proud of her accomplishment...
