Crimson Moon Redemption: My Alpha's Brutal Mistake
Chapter 47: A dire wolf (Alpha Zion)

Chapter 47: A dire wolf (Alpha Zion)

The past few months with Bella have been the best in the history of our tribe. It wasn’t just me; all tribe members began to believe that her presence brought good luck. Our businesses prospered, and the tribe was free from rogue attacks.

Joy and solidarity have become the norm. I heard that Zach’s tribe was also prospering, but only materially. His tribe members were losing their pups during childbirth, so he ordered that no one get pregnant until the issue was resolved.

If only Zach would listen to me. The certainty that everything he was going through was because of what he did to Bella weighed heavily on my heart, but I knew he wouldn’t listen.

A few months ago, I heard he had set out on a journey to find that red-haired girl after killing his gamma for treachery and replacing him with a new one.

The woman everyone expected him to marry, Kari, had also been sent to the Umbra Kin tribe, but the reasons for his decisions are still unknown. All of these were topics I wanted to discuss with Bella, but anything related to Zach seemed off-limits to her, and I respected that.

We could freely talk about other things, and to me, she was like a sister and best friend. Despite not hearing from Ivy, I was surprised that I didn’t miss her as much as I used to, given what happened the last time we met. However, I still longed to give Iris a proper burial, even if we only find her skeleton.

This morning, I was getting ready for training and passed by Bella’s door when I heard Apphia’s voice. I went to see for myself. Everyone was eager to see Bella shift, but no one expected it to happen while she was delivering her pup, and not as a Lycan.

With Bella’s unexpected transformation, my authority is now in question, and I’m unsure of what to do. "Dina, do something," I said seriously as I lifted Apphia from the floor.

My wolf urged me to take her inside, but my human side was curious to see what would unfold with Bella. Apphia had only fainted from shock, so I was one hundred percent certain that she was going to be fine.

"Alpha, Bella is more than any tribe can handle. Are you sure you want to keep her here?" Apphia asked. I gulped, my head buried in deep thought.

The creature standing before us was huge and pregnant. Lycans exhibited great strength, so I could now understand why Bella was able to survive all the torture she went through, especially with the brazen bull.

However, having a Lycan in my tribe would be like giving my position to rogues. But as much as I wanted to let her go, a part of me refused to accept that fact.

Bella is the girl who saved Zach’s life. If she hadn’t, Zach would have died, and so would I. Therefore, I wasn’t afraid of losing my position even if she turned to betray me one day.

"She stays. Help her in any way you can," I said seriously. Dina glared at me as if I was insane. Her fears of Bella were understandable but so was my trust for her.

"Alpha, are you certain? You should think about it while I attend to Apphia."

She was walking past me when I grabbed her arm. "Save Bella. I can take care of Apphia myself."

After a moment of hesitation, she hastened towards the creature in front of us and began to hum some incantations.

Dina was not just skilled with herbs but was also gifted with some special powers. Remembering something I wanted to tell her before I forgot, but since I couldn’t distract her, I sent a mindlink.

’No one must know who Bella is. When Apphia wakes up, tell her it was just a bad dream.’ Once again, she hesitated, and I noticed her pause in whatever incantation she was performing. "Okay, Alpha," she responded through the mindlink.

A sigh of relief escaped me as I carried Apphia inside the hut, and returned just in time to witness the rarest event unfolding before us.

Bella was giving birth to her pup in her Lycan form, and there was nothing we could do to assist her. Her growls and groans filled the air, and all we could do was watch as the pup was born.

"Alpha, the earliest age for a shift is thirteen, yet Alpha Zach shifted at nine. Will this pup ever take human form?" Dina’s question, though heartbreaking, reflected the harsh reality we were facing. Bella was an enigmatic individual, and delivering a pup in Lycan form was unprecedented.

"I don’t know, but can you try to reach her?" I inquired, attempting to mindlink Bella, but she was too far away.

Without hesitation, I reached out to touch the Lycan pup on the ground, and to my surprise, another peculiar occurrence took place. The pup transformed from Lycan to wolf form.

"Impossible," Dina hissed, fear engulfing me. How could he be both a Lycan and a werewolf? "Alpha, look," Dina drew my attention to Bella. She had also transformed into a dire wolf.

Dire wolves are werewolves of a different species combined, but fortunately, she didn’t remain in her wolf form for long, quickly reverting to her human form.

Dina hastily covered her naked form as I watched in amazement at the pup’s transformation as well. He had also shifted from wolf to human form, sharing the same red hair as Bella but with those eyes. Only Zach and I had eyes like that.

"Alpha, what should we do?" Dina asked, as it took me some time to process all that I had just witnessed. Bella was already unconscious, and the pup wouldn’t stop crying.

Before I could respond, Zach’s voice entered my mind through the mindlink. ’Zion, what are you up to now? I’ve been through so much tonight already...’
