Criminal X : Epitome Of Evil
Chapter 352: Lies And Lies

Chapter 352: Lies And Lies

When you have already suffered too much pain, the pain that comes after that is simply a yawn before sleeping.

Luther, the second Marshal, had lost his only son and the wife he loved so much didn’t love him back. What could be worse than that? Certainly not some physical pain at least.

Harlia broke both legs of Luther and Luther crumbled on the ground, not uttering a word.

The soldiers, Marshals, Generals all had eyes on him, their eyes contained contempt and hatred.

"Burn him!"

"Kill the Killer!"

"Destroy him!"

Everyone wanted Luther’s death and the man in question was just lying with his face first on the ground.

Cupid couldn’t see all this happening.

"He is not the killer and yet he is facing treatment like one. How can you watch all of this with a straight face? This is technically an innocent getting punished for a crime he didn’t do."

’He wanted me dead. He started all this animosity. If he had just stayed doing his own work and hadn’t sent his son to harass me, they both would have been happy and well right now. Not like this.’

Pablo was clear in his intentions. Those who want some smoke with him, they would get one. And in the end, Pablo would win. Simple as that.

Cupid had nothing to say in reply to that so she just proceeded to watch things with a heavy heart.

"Bring him in front of the stage, Admiral." Pablo said.

"Don’t order me." Harlia replied.

Pablo raised both his hands. "My bad."

Harlia forgave him and held Luther by his hairs.

She started walking as she dragged him along the ground.

The soldiers made way for her and soon, she stopped Luther just in front of the stage, just in front of Pablo.

Pablo looked down on the second Marshal but the latter couldn’t even see right now.

His head dropped low, he wasn’t looking anywhere but the ground. Not that he could actually look without his eyes.

Harlia climbed on the stage and with Pablo, stood in front of the Eight Marshals behind them.

Fozier wasn’t in the mood to say anything so he also didn’t bother to come in the front.

Pablo and Harlia would manage on their own.

Behind Luther, all the other soldiers were standing.

Luther was between the stage and the soldiers.

His hands were behind his back and his face stuck close on the ground.

Blood dripped from his eyes and mouth, only his shallow breathing made people aware that the man was alive.

"I pity him so much." Cupid couldn’t take Luther’s condition out of her kind heart. "Show him some kindness by giving him an easy death."

Pablo didn’t reply and Cupid said what she wanted to say. She could only request Pablo, nothing else.

Harlia cleared her throat.

"Explain everything, Pablo. We are waiting. What was going on here?"

She and everyone else wanted to know the same thing.

They just came here hearing the gong and only saw Ted, Luther and Pablo lying on the ground, bloodied.

They wanted to know the context.

And Pablo would give them one.

"I will start from the start."

Everyone went silent and Pablo finally started his lies.

"After we found Luther’s wife as the killer, everything was over. But that’s what we thought. Because it wasn’t over at all."

He roamed his eyes around the ground.

"I also believed that Luther’s wife was the killer, but when Luther saw his wife’s dead body, he wasn’t willing to admit it. He was saying she must be framed, she must be framed by the real killer.

But all the proof was against her so we were sure that his wife really was the killer. And in the end, Luther agreed as well. He also agreed that his wife really was the killer.

But my detectine mind had one suspicion. What if she wasn’t the killer? What if she was really framed? What if Luther was right?

So what I did was, I spread all my soldiers under me to keep an eye on people I have suspicions on. And out of all the people, I found Luther.

He was laughing in his own room, saying how his wife was cheating on him so he killed her and how he killed many other soldiers as well. He was the one who framed his own wife. He is the real killer. And his next target was Ted.

And as soon as Draxus, my soldier, got to know this, I told him to keep an eye on Luther and tell me when he makes his next move.

So when night arrived, Luther passed a chit to Ted’s room calling him in ground 0. Draxus told me that so I also came to this ground.

A fight was already going on and Ted was losing. I joined the fight, helped Ted, but it was too late. Ted was already at death’s door and the most I could was to stab Luther’s eyes and his tongue.

I sent Draxus to ring the Gong so that you all can come here and save us. And after that, everything is in front of you.

Luther is our killer and this marks the end of our case."

Pablo finished the long explanation and he made sure to answer any possible question that could be asked in his speech. So no one asked anything and their glares intensified towards Luther.

*Alright. Now what should his punishment be?" Harlia asked.

"Burn him alive." Fozier was the first one to speak.

"Remove all his clothes and skin him alive." One soldier said his idea.

And like that, one by one, all the soldiers shared their own idea of punishment.

Some of them were not really angry, they just wanted to see some bloodshed. They were messed up in the head.

However, the most messed up in the head had yet to make a suggestion.

So Harlia asked him herself :

"What do you say, Pablo?"

Pablo stayed silent.

He stared at Luther and then he glanced at Cupid.

Eventually, he sighed.

"Give him an easy death."
