Chapter 35: Wind Entertainment

Yeongsoo stood by the kitchen counter, arms crossed, watching Haeun sip his water. When Haeun mentioned giving the extra pancakes to the guards outside, his expression barely shifted.

"They can get their own food," he muttered, his tone flat.

But when Haeun shot him a look, his shoulders dropped slightly. "Fine," he sighed. "I’ll give them the pancakes."

A few minutes later, Yeongsoo headed outside with a small container of pancakes. He handed it to the guards, his usual aloof expression in place. "You too, I made extra. Take it," he said, not waiting for a response before heading back inside.

Once he was back, he expected to see Haeun on the couch resting, but the spot was empty. His brow furrowed, and he looked around the living room. "Haeun?" he called out, but there was no answer.

His heart skipped a beat as he quickly moved through the apartment, checking the kitchen, then the hallway. Finally, he spotted the bathroom door slightly ajar.

Pushing it open, he found Haeun on the bathroom floor, pale and exhausted, having just thrown up again. His expression hardened, though there was a flicker of concern in his eyes.

"Haeun..." His voice was calm but firm as he crouched down beside him. "Why didn’t you call me?"

"I didn’t want to bother you," Haeun murmured, wiping at his mouth, looking drained.

Yeongsoo shook his head, his tone softening. "You should’ve told me. I’m not going to let you deal with this alone."

He gently picked Haeun up from the floor, he carried him. "Come on, let’s get you cleaned up and back to rest. No more running off without me, okay?"

"Okay..." Haeun nodded weakly as Yeongsoo carried him back to the couch. A soft sigh escaped his lips, seems like they’ll have to go to the doctor’s soon.

Haeun sat back on the couch, still looking pale. He glanced at the clock, then over at Yeongsoo, who had stayed close by his side, watching him carefully.

"I don’t want to eat anything," Haeun said quietly, shaking his head. "I still feel too nauseous. Let’s just head to the company. Some fresh air might help."

"You sure about that?" Yeongsoo asked, his brow furrowed with doubt. "You’ve been throwing up all morning. Maybe we should stay home?."

"I’ll be fine," Haeun insisted. "I don’t want to keep pushing things off. Besides, the fresh air will do me good."

Yeongsoo sighed, clearly not fully convinced, but he stood up and helped Haeun to his feet. Haeun had already changed into a comfortable outfit—black sweatpants and a black shirt. As he steadied himself, Yeongsoo knelt down, grabbing Haeun’s sneakers.

"Here, let me help," he said in a quieter tone. He untied the sneakers and slipped them onto Haeun’s feet, carefully lacing them up.

"You don’t have to—" Haeun started, but Yeongsoo cut him off with a firm look.

"I’m not letting you do anything on your own right now. Just sit still."

Haeun bit his lip, feeling a little guilty, but he let Yeongsoo finish tying the laces. Once both shoes were on, Haeun stood up, testing his balance.

"Thanks," he mumbled, looking down at his feet.

Yeongsoo stood up, grabbed Haeun’s jacket, and helped him slip it on. "Let’s get this over with, then. If you start feeling worse, we’re turning back."

"Deal," Haeun replied softly, offering a small smile as they headed out the door.

As they pulled up to Wind Entertainment, Haeun felt an uneasy churning in his stomach. The mix of pheromones from various employees began to hit him the moment they stepped into the building, a faint buzzing in his head growing louder.

He had hoped the fresh air on the way over would help, but now, it was as though the nausea had crept back with vengeance.

Yeongsoo immediately noticed the shift in his expression. Without a word, he gently squeezed Haeun’s hand and intertwined their fingers more tightly. His steady gaze met Haeun’s for a brief moment, then, releasing his own pheromones into the air. The cool, calming effect washed over Haeun, easing the dizziness and queasiness that had begun to overwhelm him.

As Haeun walked through the lobby hand-in-hand with Yeongsoo, the usual hum of conversation among employees faltered, then fell silent. Heads turned, and curious gazes followed their every step.

The sight of their usually composed and reserved CEO entering the office with a man at his side, hands intertwined, sent ripples of shock through the room.

"Is that... the boss?" someone whispered.

"It can’t be... our CEO?" another murmured.

"They’re holding hands right?. Who is that guy?"

As they continued to walk through the lobby, the whispers around them became more noticeable. Every employee they passed stopped in their tracks, eyes widening at the sight of their CEO walking hand-in-hand with a man they hadn’t seen before. The way their fingers were locked together was unmistakable—intimate, possessive, and completely unexpected.

Haeun, sensing the growing curiosity, paused in his steps, turning slightly to face his employees. With a playful smile on his lips, he raised his free hand and pressed a finger to his lips, his eyes glinting with amusement.

"Hush," he whispered teasingly, his smile widening.

The employees, caught off guard by the quiet command, quickly averted their gazes, flustered but understanding the message. They knew better than to gossip openly, especially with Haeun’s laid-back yet sharp nature.

"Whosoever the boss is with doesn’t matter, he’s so handsome anyways and look at the way he’s shielding the boss with his pheromones. He’s practically saying "he’s mine"

"Yes I think they both look great together. Boss is so nice, I’m glad he’s happy.." the woman smiled at her colleagues. Wind entertainment so far had been the best company she had worked in. Gender equality despite working with alphas and omegas?

The company was built in a way that neither parties could affect themselves.

Once they were past the lobby and headed toward the private elevator, Haeun let out a soft laugh, leaning slightly into Yeongsoo’s side. "They’re going to be talking about this for weeks."

Yeongsoo, still calm and composed, glanced down at him. "Let them. It’ll keep them busy." He squeezed Haeun’s hand again. "More importantly, are you feeling better?"

Haeun took a deep breath, feeling more grounded now thanks to Yeongsoo’s presence. "Yeah... much better. Thank you." He gave him a grateful smile as the elevator doors closed behind them, sealing them off from the curious eyes outside the elevator.
