Contractually Yours: The Billionaire's Unlikely Bride -
Chapter 57: ANNA’S TREACHEROUS PLAN 2
Chapter 57: Chapter 57: ANNA’S TREACHEROUS PLAN 2
Thinking business, he looked at his daughter with a proud smile, making Anna sigh of relief before saying, "Anna, this can be done. However, you must ensure your safety first. Ensure that no one will suspect you and nothing will backfire on you. Can you do that?"
Anna, at hearing her father’s stern words, nodded, accepting his worries. If she was ignorant, she might have thought that he was at it again, thinking of benefits and not herself. However, as the person who concocted such a plan, she understood how dangerous it would be for everyone if she ever got caught or the plan got traced back to her.
The Meyers and those people would never let her off. That was why being careful was of greater importance.
Mr. Hilary, seeing that, heaved a sigh of relief. It was relieving speaking to a clever person. With just a sentence, the meaning would be received clearly.
Madam Meyer didn’t understand what the father and daughter were talking about, the real meaning behind the words, but she also agreed with her husband. No matter what, Anna should be careful. After all, she would be going aboard by herself.
She won’t be there to take care of her there. If anything goes wrong, her heart aches. She couldn’t lose another daughter. Her children were precious as well.
After agreeing to the plan, the family of three, excluding the son who wasn’t at home, began to discuss the plan in detail.

Two days later, the news spread that the Hilary family had kicked Alice out of the family to repent overseas by herself.
That didn’t take the community by surprise. After all, it was a common punishment their families imposed on naughty children.
Let them suffer for a few years abroad and when they repent, they could have a chance to return.
In Anna’s case, what was the point of repenting?
By the time she gets a chance to return, Logan might be holding another child in his arms.
They could only feel pity but at the same happy, that a competitor had left.
Unbeknown to them, just when they were thinking that the storm had finally calmed down, a typhoon was about to be stirred, ready to bring more chaos and destruction than the Meyer family had ever witnessed.
Like they said, there is no rest for the wicked.
Especially those who have so much to hide.

Meyer’s mansion
Pidi-pada. Pidi-pada.
"Tiana, stop there, right now!" Lyra roared as she chased Tiana, who was running around the living room like a warthog that had been provoked.
Tiana stuck out her tongue without stopping and answered provocatively, "I won’t stop. Who told you to do that to me?"
Lyra gritted her teeth as she came to a halt, panting, feeling tired after chasing this naughty sister of hers.
She regretted it. If she had known that, Tiana would react that way. She wouldn’t have done it, but now it was too late.
Tiana, seeing that Lyra had stopped chasing her, stopped as well and stood on the other side of the room, slightly panting from all the running.
It seemed that second mother’s special training all these years worked successfully.
The two sisters glared at each other, and no one seemed to be backing down.
That was the scene that Logan came across the moment that he came home from work.
"What’s going on with you two?" he asked curiously, sensing the deadly atmosphere in the room.
Cade, who was sitting on the sofa, holding a tablet in hand, raised his head to look at his father and said, "Welcome back, father!"
Logan looked at his son and nodded. "Um. What is going on here?" he asked, seeing that the girls weren’t willing to answer him at all.
When Cade heard that, a faint chuckle escaped his lips as he thought of how this drama started.
"They_" Unfortunately, before he could finish or rather start saying something, Logan’s phone started ringing.
Cade was forced to shut his mouth and, at the same time, received warning glares in unison from the sisters.
As a result, he could only do a zipping action over his mouth, promising not to say what he shouldn’t.
Logan saw all that, and inwardly he shook his head, wondering what kind of madness these kids were up to, now that Briar wasn’t there to keep them in check.
However, he didn’t have time to ponder over that matter, as the call he just received was important.
Logan looked at his children with a narrowed gaze and said in reproach, "Get along with one another and don’t go around running. If you hurt each other, do you want to scare your second mother when she wakens?" berating them for playing dangerously.
The two sisters glared at each other with unwillingness. However, Logan didn’t care what was in their thoughts.
After berating the girls, he walked to the elevator as he answered the phone, his tone heavy. "Um. Did you find it?"
The girls watched their father leave and his tone did not sound right. They could only harrumph at each other before joining Cade on the sofa.
Cade wanted badly to move. He could only raise his head to glance at the eldest and youngest before looking at his tablet.
This Shura field, he didn’t dare be part of it.
****
While downstairs, the Shura field was fluctuating. Upstairs, Logan wore a solemn expression as he sat behind the desk, his fists clenched as he looked at the document that had been sent on his tablet.
Bam!
He slammed the desk angrily after reading the last part of the document, frustration visible on his face. His jaws tightened and the pain from the slamming didn’t seem to register at all.
"How could it be?" he mumbled to himself in disbelief, his hands trembling in shock and anger, feeling unwilling to accept what he had just read.
’No, I need to confirm. This is ..... it can’t be!’ Logan felt shaken by the news. It felt unreal to him.
He felt as if he was being toyed with and the person who had sent this was fooling around with him.
With a shaky hand, he picked up his phone from the desk and dialed the number on the top of the caller list.
Ring, ring, ring.
The phone rang a few times before the person on the other side of the phone answered, [Hello, sir. Did you finish reading what I have sent?]
Logan gritted his teeth, the veins on his hands popping as if they would burst if he put more pressure on them.
"Um. Are you sure that this is the right information and you aren’t pulling my leg?" he asked in an icy tone, emitting a deadly vibe that the other person on the call couldn’t help but shudder for a moment.
[I am afraid that what I gave you is the right information. I verified it several times with trustable sources,] came the confident response, which made Logan’s heart shatter into pieces like glass.
Logan clenched both of his fists as he looked at the phone. He felt like crushing it until nothing remained but still held himself back and commanded, "Okay. Make sure that this doesn’t reach anyone. Destroy everything and seal everyone’s lips. Do you understand?" a murderous glint flashes across his eyes as he says so.
[Don’t worry, sir. I dealt with the matter as soon as I was done. You can trust me on that,] the other party swore and Logan sighed a breath of relief at hearing that.
"Um. Keep up the good work," he said last and hung up before the other party responded.
Now that he had confirmed that the news, he had gotten was true with no falsehood anywhere near it. As he looked at the document in front of him, very piercing to the eyes the more he looked at it.
The only question which remained was, ’Did he ever know her? The real her or everything had always been a façade?’
Logan couldn’t help but feel like a fool when he looked at that beautiful picture of her smiling, her eyes sparkling with love as if she wanted to give him the whole world.
With so much anger boiling inside him, he struck at the picture frame and in one move slid from the desk, falling directly on the floor, shattering. The glass pieces scattered all over the place.
"Hahaha!" he suddenly broke into a mocking laughter, his eyes red as he glared at the picture lying on the cold floor.
Was any of it ever true?
