Briar was not an idiot. Just because she wasn’t well learned didn’t mean that her brain didn’t function properly. Others might find fun in speaking ill of others but those who suffer the consequences are the other people.

Those ladies were ridiculed which they deserved but after this, these ladies would start talking about how they weren’t raised properly. Because of an impulsive moment, trying to make her look bad, these ladies condemned their own families. Was it worth it?

Looking at the man who was now standing next to the car, with his arms folded and a stoic expression on his face, Briar still believed that it was better to stay clear from any fights in public.

Alice chuckled helplessly as she looked at Briar who was running towards Logan and her brother who obviously now stood at ease with his arms open, ready to embrace her any second.

While watching that, she couldn’t help but notice the shoes that Briar was wearing.

She facepalmed and wondered to herself, just how unique her sister-in-law was.

Bertha on the other hand watched all that with a smile on her face.

Briar was young and seeing her happy made her very happy. Briar was the only one who made the three of them worried. Seeing that she was with the man she loved dearly finally, she was at ease.

It was also good to know that her thoughts were still on the good side. It would be bad if she blackens.

Madam Meyer on the other side, watched helplessly as Briar lost her image and ran towards Logan without caring about anything.

She could hear the other ladies’ snickers and chuckles at seeing such a spectacle. The ladies tend to be reserved in public and yet her daughter-in-law was doing the opposite.

However, before she could form more words to describe what she was seeing, her son’s reaction made her deflated.

"Hubby! You are here!" Briar cheerfully exclaimed as she threw herself in Logan’s embrace and he hugged her tightly, a smile on his face.

Madam Meyer looked at Logan’s expression and his eyes. She was stunned in place.

Although she knew that her son’s feelings for Briar were becoming real with each passing day, she had never seen him with her, to be honest.

So, seeing the two like that, she didn’t know what to say or how to react.

The deep love in those eyes couldn’t be hidden. The fact that he could do this publicly despite that the media friends were still around, showed that he no longer cared about much or the thoughts of anyone.

Seeing that, Madam Meyer who was at a loss of words earlier found herself squinting happily.

"It seems that those two are deeply in love!"

"Just look at the way those eyes look deep!"

"He is smiling!"

Listening to the ladies who were snickering a moment ago now praising her son and Briar, Madam Meyer was happy.

She was glad that Logan came to pick Briar up personally. These two had never appeared in the same frame in public ever since the news of their marriage was revealed.

Having Logan come here tonight, solved a lot of problems and Madam Meyer believed that in the future, no one would dare cause problems for Briar again. with him making more appearances, it might not be bad to let Briar attend more banquets.

Meanwhile, Logan looked at Briar dotingly, his unsettled heart finally at ease. Seeing her smiling and without receiving a report of anything bad happening to her, he felt finally at ease.

He had been uneasy the whole time and now with her in his arms, he felt very calm.

Most importantly, he was overjoyed.

This love-struck fool of his truly loved him so much.

He couldn’t forget how she ran towards him, the hem of her gown in her hands and her face light up with her beautiful smile.

Eyes do tell a lot and her eyes were always saying something every single second.

That love in her eyes, her bones, and everywhere on her, was his. And at that moment, he didn’t feel that he made the wrong choice to come and pick her up.

She was his and as his woman, shouldn’t the world finally see for themselves that they were harmonious?

With that thought in mind, Logan looked at his mother who was coming and his sister who was shaking her head and smiled apologetically at them before helping Briar who was very cooperative into the car.
