And that was enough to make Briar throw down any grievances she had for Logan as she looked at him with sparkling eyes. It looked as if she could swallow him with her eyes.

Logan, seeing that reaction, knew that the greatest hurdle had been passed and he felt happy knowing that things were going according to plan.

Briar heard about going on a date, something that she planned to tell Logan slowly since she had discussed it with her friends the other time. She was happy.

Having the man, she loves asking her out felt much better than her asking him out. Him asking her out shows that he at least cares for her and has her in his heart.

If she did it, it would be like .... She didn’t even want to finish thinking about it but she was happy.

Of course, it would be better if the night ended with something flavorful. Wasn’t he lustful at all?

However, things couldn’t be forced. So, she could only swallow her grievances hidden within the sparkling eyes and asked excitedly, "You really want us to go on a date? Won’t you be busy?"

Logan looked at the excited young wife and tapped her nose playfully, loving how her love shone and was visible for him to see.

"I cleared my schedule. Let’s get to know each other more. What do you say?"

How could she object to that?

She hurriedly nodded her head and her action was too funny, but he didn’t dare laugh at her. The young wife had a temper, after all.

Briar’s eyes widened upon hearing that. She burrowed more into his embrace and happily responded, "Hehe. Then I will return early to prepare. Is there anything else I need to prepare? A dress code, or something like that?"

Since she had never really gone on a date, she was dying of curiosity.

If Logan took her to an elegant restaurant when she didn’t prepare, she would not only lose face but the family as well. She needed to prepare in advance.

Seeing his wife depending on him and asking what she needed to do, Logan suddenly felt that he was being given his position as a man and husband in the house.

That kind of reliance and dependency that she had on him was very reassuring. And with her no longer having any memories of Selena’s bad deeds, he was even more at ease with her.

"You don’t need to pack any extravagant clothes. The place we are going to is another place of mine. We will be spending the weekend there. So, pack a bit more clothes," he answered her, revealing more information, which made her eyes sparkle even more.

Briar was so happy she wanted to mooch Logan all over. However, if she did so, she would expose herself, which might be to her disadvantage. So, she looked at him shyly, despite her sparkling eyes, and looked down, earning a hearty chuckle from Logan.

With the appointment made, Logan teased Briar for a bit more before he realized that Briar was snoring softly in his arms.

Flicking her forehead, he curiously wondered with a smile on his face. ’How did you sleep easily like that?’

He never thought that she would sleep like that in his presence. He couldn’t even get angry at seeing her like that.

He could only lay her down gently and tucked her in so that she would sleep comfortably before sleeping by her side.

Thinking about the weekend plans, Logan slept peacefully.

The next day, Briar woke up early with a smug smile on her face. She looked at the man sleeping by her side and grinned like a fool.

She propped herself on the bed and looked at Logan for a moment, a foolish smile on her face and found herself wondering out loud, "Hehe, guess who is the lucky woman who married such a fine man? My ancestors must have pleased the deities to make me be with such a man!" boasting shamefully.

She admired her husband for a moment and twitched, seeing how Logan’s eyes were twitching while he was doing his best to keep calm.

’Tsk, tsk. Darling, one day you will love me like crazy. I have waited so many years for this moment.’

Briar thought with a mysterious glint flashing in her eyes as she admired him for the last time before climbing down the bed.

It would be bad if he woke up while she was secretly admiring him and speaking boldly her thoughts just because he was sleeping.

Briar didn’t linger longer in the bedroom and went to the bathroom to take a morning shower.

While she does so, Logan, who was pretending to be asleep, let out a sigh of relief, his heart thumping like crazy at that unexpected confession.

He knew that Briar loved him so much. Yet hearing her confessions now and then, which had become a habit, still made him feel like a teenager.

’Bold and yet scared at the same time!’ he mused as he looked in the direction of the bathroom before he closed his eyes.

He didn’t want her to be shy around him today. There were many activities for them for her to be shy about later, but not now.

Briar reappeared in the room a while later and changed into a casual dress. Before leaving the bedroom, she didn’t forget to check on Logan, who was still sleeping.

A smile blossomed on her face as she lowered her head and kissed his forehead dotingly.

Without saying any other words, she left, humming softly to a tune.

When the door closed, Logan, who had received a familiar attack, snapped his eyes open and showed a helpless smile on his face.

He had heard about domineering billionaires and how serious they were in pursuing their women, and yet, in his case, why did it seem that he was the one being pursued?

The feeling was quite addictive. He didn’t dislike this at all.

Who said that men should be the ones to pursue others?

’I think I am going crazy! She is getting in my mind repeatedly!

’ he sighed wryly as he rose from the bed.

How could he have such thoughts?

Meanwhile, on Briar’s side, she went downstairs and came across Uncle Marcus, who was awake. The maids were already cleaning the house and the chefs were preparing to make breakfast.

She didn’t plan to make any medicinal meals but planned to prepare some snacks to eat later in the day.

So, she worked alongside the chefs for the next two hours until the food was ready to be served.

She went back upstairs and smiled when she saw the empty bed.

"It seems that he is awake!" she said to no one in particular as she walked towards the bed.

Briar didn’t like anyone messing with the bedroom. Before she was married, she didn’t mind the maids cleaning the room, but now that she was the woman of the house, giving another woman a chance to vie for her man wasn’t something that she would do.

So, she made the bed, opened the curtains and used the vacuum cleaner to clean the room before she headed to the bathroom, where she took another shower.

She changed into a fresh outfit before leaving the bedroom and going to the study where she believed her husband was.

She didn’t know why he didn’t go to work since their date was later at night. However, she didn’t mind seeing Logan resting for a moment. He was a workaholic and one day work would kill him for sure.

When she reached the study, she knocked on the door and waited patiently for a response.

After waiting for a while without making any fuss, the door opened, which wasn’t what she was expecting. She thought that he would let her in and not him come over.

Seeing him standing at the door, Briar smiled at him brightly and greeted enthusiastically, "Good morning, hubby!"

Logan smiled back at her and pulled her to him into an embrace, and she didn’t shy away.

"Did you sleep well?" he asked as his arms caressed her back.

Briar nodded as she hummed a response, her face getting buried in his chest.

Logan smiled at that response. He found himself ruffling the short hair on her head and she raised her head with a pouty expression, which made her look very cute.

However, the more she looked at her, the more he wanted to bite those lips and have a taste. And that’s exactly what she did.

Briar was stunned at the unexpected kiss which fell on her. She didn’t think that he would attack her in the morning. However, once the shock vanished, she closed her eyes, as she wrapped her arms around his neck and enjoyed the morning kiss without any guilt.

He was her husband, so what was wrong with some intimacy?
