Logan looked at the watch with an amused smile on his face, knowing how his little wife would be arriving at any moment to bring him lunch. When he thought of what happened earlier that morning and how she didn’t tell him, his expression suddenly turned sullen.

He had never thought that someone out there would be eyeing his woman. It was the first time that he actually realized that Briar was quite popular and that if he played his cards wrong, his wife might end up being taken by others.

Fortunately for him, Briar loved him more than anything else, so he didn’t have to worry about that. Nonetheless, it left a bitter taste in his mouth, especially when he recalled how things would have gotten messy if he hadn’t intervened earlier.

While lost in his thoughts, the telephone in his office rang and that jolted him back to reality.

He reached out for the telephone and answered the call, "Um!" grunting in response.

[Sir, Madam has just arrived. She is on her way there!]

When he heard that, he hummed a response before hanging the call with a smile on his face.

He should be the luckiest man alive, he thought to himself as he closed the file that he had stopped looking at a while ago.

To think that Briar had been sending his meals for more than five years and yet before she married him, it didn’t feel special. Apart from getting used to having home-cooked meals, Briar bringing him food and welcoming him back after work felt normal.

However, now that he knew about her feelings and how she had hidden her love for him all these years, he understood her better.

It was the only way she could show her love for him without getting caught. Being a nanny and an employee of the family, there was nothing wrong with what she did. Besides, it seemed that Selena had encouraged such acts so that Briar would entice him, thus giving Selena an advantage on how to deal with him. Unfortunately for Selena, Briar didn’t play by the book.

Unlike other women who would have grasped the chance and gone overboard, she still respected his marriage and didn’t go overboard. For that, Logan found himself liking Briar more and more. At least her heart was pure, and she knew what was right or wrong.

Such a woman. He would be a fool to let her go even if she no longer wanted him.

It didn’t take long before there was another call from the secretary outside who informed him that Briar had arrived and was on her way to his office.

Upon hearing that, he rose to his feet, left the desk and headed towards the lounge area. As he was about to sit, there was a slight knock on the door before the door opened, revealing the woman he had been dying to see for a while now.

’OMG!’ Logan exclaimed inwardly as he looked at the woman who had just walked into the room.

Was that his wife?

That question came up as he looked dumbfoundedly at Briar, who apparently knew how to catch other people unaware like that.

Briar, on the other hand, smiled triumphantly inwardly upon seeing the expression on Logan’s face.

She had done it. She felt very proud of herself.

As someone who had studied Logan for over a decade, she was aware of what he liked. Even if the man barely showed some of his interests and fetishes, Briar had silently done her best to learn about the man. When she knows about what he likes and dislikes, satisfying him will be easy. That was another trick that made her live for long in that household.

While other men liked seeing women wearing sexy clothes, the kind that accentuates the curves, reveals the legs and entices them to rip it off and devour the woman until there is nothing left. Logan was slightly different.

She had seen how he always looked at Selena, something that he did unconsciously, and Selena probably had never even noticed it. While the curves, the bountiful chest, and all that enticed other men, Logan’s interest was on the neck.

His gaze always lingered for a long time whenever he saw Selena wearing either a necklace or a pendant. There was something about the neck whenever a piece of jewelry was put there. His greatest reaction was on this other day, Selena wore a choker for fun.

Briar would never forget that day. The way Logan looked at her was so infuriating, that she was tempted to reveal that Selena was cheating on him. However, she held that thought and pretended like she didn’t know. As long as Selena didn’t know about Logan’s interests and didn’t use them against him, then she was fine.

So, what if she wore the choker but didn’t realize what Logan was going through?

Because of that, Briar used her money to buy necklaces and chockers especially but never wore them much.

However, now that she was a married woman, what would stop her from going crazy and dressing for her man?

So, for this day, to coax her man, she decided to put on something that would drive him crazy; a beautiful lace choker with a reasonable diamond centerpiece.

She wore a modest dress which still showed how curvaceous she was since that couldn’t be hidden. She might not be blessed with an overly pretty face, but she was given a beautiful body and she was grateful for that.

So, when she walked into the room, Logan’s eyes got fixated on that neck. Seeing that choker around her neck, nasty thoughts he had always hidden and didn’t dare to unleash found themselves threatening to burst out.

He couldn’t help but swallow hard as several images formed in his mind.

Seeing her walking towards him with a smile on her face, those eyes filled with love and in her hand a food bag with the food she had meticulously brought, a sincere smile filled with doting appeared on his face.

This young woman is his wife. The woman who chose him and remained faithful to him from day one. How could he not be moved?

So, what if there were other men eyeing her? In his eyes and heart, she would always be with him and she was his for the taking. Who would dare take what was his?

Since he hadn’t sat down yet, he walked halfway to meet her as he teasingly asked, "Did you travel safely?"

Briar grinned beautifully as she looked at the other, her eyes squinting happily as she responded, "Hehe, hubby, I traveled well," her tone full of teasing as well.

By now, Logan was no longer that startled whenever she called him that. In fact, he wanted to hear her calling him that all day long. And the thought of her calling him that and other names whilst she squirmed beneath him, a dangerous glint flashed across his eyes for a moment before vanishing.

"That’s good," he smilingly said to her as he took the food bag from her hands before taking her to the sofas.

Briar allowed him to hold her hand and be led towards the sofa.

Since they were married, Logan didn’t want her to sit on another sofa, so he dragged her to the same sofa. That way, the two of them sat next to each other. There was also another reason why he didn’t let her sit across from him.

With that choker in his sight, who knows what he might do?

When Briar sensed what Logan was doing, she was so happy. However, she didn’t dare lose her manners or expose her little tricks. Like an obedient wife, she started serving as soon as she was seated.

"Hubby, the kitchen has prepared ..." Briar started explaining that afternoon’s dishes as she took out the lunch boxes from the food bag.

Logan listened to the young woman’s melodious voice with a smile on his face, his thoughts wandering far.

The food was shortly spread on the table with two sets of cutleries. Briar had not eaten any food, and to coax her husband, she planned to eat with him.

Logan didn’t seem to mind and let her serve him while she ate as well.

The meal was satisfying, and the two of them finished everything. Logan ate more than before. Briar’s presence and her willingness to serve made his appetite grow.

After the meal, Briar packed away the lunch boxes and safely tucked them in the food bag before turning her focus to Logan.

"Hubby, when are you finishing work today?" she asked curiously, her eyes blinking cutely. It made Logan want to pull her closer to him and pamper her a bit, and that’s exactly what he did.

"You!" Briar yelped in surprise as she found herself being picked from her place to Logan’s lap.

She looked at the man with a surprised expression on her face, which later turned into shyness and coyness, especially feeling the tent she was sitting on.

How dare he?
