Conquering His Cold Heart -
Chapter 430 - 430: Reunion of Friends
Martha and Holly both helped the Queen to get ready for her travel. They prepared the bath, served the breakfast, and dressed the Queen in warm yet elegant clothes.
Martha also made sure to neatly tie the Queen's hair into a beautiful and elaborate bun that was decorated with extraordinary hair accessories that were embedded with rare stones.
And although Anastasia didn't want to apply any artificial makeup on her face, Martha insisted on it saying, "You are going to make an appearance in the public as the Queen. You need to look the part, my Queen."
Anastasia settled on doing light makeup – just a bit of rose on the cheeks and tint on the lips so as to make her pale face somewhat livelier.
After everything was done, Anastasia got up on her feet and checked the full reflection of herself in the mirror. She was just checking to see if everything was in place.
Martha, on the other hand, looked enchanted by the regal appearance of the Queen. Not just the appearance, but the excitement on the Queen's face was also unmatched.
'I am seeing her this happy after quite some time,' Martha thought to herself while trying to recall the last time when she saw the Queen smiling that broadly.
And thinking that the reason behind the Queen's sadness these days was the absence of Tilla, she prayed, 'I hope Tilla's health will be back to normal soon."
Anastasia thanked Martha and Holly for their hard work this morning and finally stepped out of her chamber while being followed by Isaac and John, her guards.
When she stepped out of the main entrance of the castle, she found a carriage and a squad of guards already waiting for her.
Percy, who had been patiently waiting for the Queen, immediately greeted her again and said while gesturing his hand towards the carriage, "Your Majesty, the carriage is ready for departure."
"Thank you, Percy," Anastasia replied, and then gracefully walked towards the fancy carriage.
Benjamin, the coachman, immediately approached the Queen. And after bowing his head, he offered the Queen his hand.
Anastasia took that coachman's hand and got inside the carriage. And after making herself comfortable, she looked out of the window to see if Caspian was anywhere around.
'He must be busy,' she thought to herself while pressing her lips together.
After heaving a short sigh, she looked at Percy and asked him, "Tell His Majesty that I am on my way."
"Of course, Your Majesty," Percy bowed and then left from there.
Anastasia, on the other hand, closed all the windows and also pulled the curtains. Then she waited for the carriage to move.
Her heart began racing when she heard the galloping sounds of the hooves and the swishing sounds of the wind. As it had been quite a while since she had last left the castle, she was feeling a little excited.
'I just hope that I will reach the Warmane Mansion before I start getting nauseous,' she thought amidst her excitement.
Anastasia patiently sat in the carriage, suppressing her desire to pull the curtain a little and peek outside the window.
'Vampires have sharp eyesight, Anna. Just sit tight. If something happens to you in this journey then Caspian won't allow you to leave the castle ever again. So, just bear with me and sit tight.' She kept on reminding her inner child to behave herself and not invite any trouble.
Outside, the carriage passed through the road that went through the woods and a handful of estates owned by supporters of the throne.
They were halfway down the road when a few of the guards spotted a pair of suspicious-looking vampires taking a stroll through the woods.
"Do you think they pose a threat?" one of the guards asked the others.
And the other guard replied, "Well… they do look like they are up to no good. Look at the way they are covering up their faces with the hoods!"
The first guard who spotted them then said, "Then I will go and check. You all should keep guarding the carriage."
Immediately after saying that, he took a turn to the right and then ran straight toward those vampires. The others kept on maintaining their formation and running.

When the carriage came to a halt, Anastasia's heartbeat raced even more. She was very excited to finally meet her best friend after spending three whole weeks apart.
As soon as Benjamin opened the door of the carriage, Anastasia eagerly looked outside to see if Tilla was anywhere around.
Caspian had asked a messenger to inform Vincent about the arrival of the Queen beforehand.
Thus, practically everyone from the mansion was waiting outside to give a warm welcome to the Queen who was coming to their doorsteps. And obviously, it also included Vincent and Tilla.
The moment Anastasia's eyes landed on Tilla, she bolted out of the carriage without caring about her status or her weak body.
"Tilla!" Anastasia shouted with a broad smile on her face and kept on running while opening her arms for a hug.
Tilla would have loved to run towards Anastasia too. However, she was barely managing to stand up at the moment. Thus, she also spread her hands and waited for Anastasia to fall into her arms.
The moment the two of them wrapped each other in their arms, they began to tear up with happiness.
"Tilla! I missed you so much!" Anastasia mumbled while sniffling and smiling.
Tilla also couldn't control her emotions when her friend came to meet her without caring about her own poor health. "I missed you too, Anna. I'm sorry I couldn't come to the castle to meet you. I can barely move around."
"Oh, it's okay." Anastasia tightened her arms a little and said while closing her eyes, "That's why I came here. I couldn't wait for another two-three weeks to see you."
While the two of them were hugging and crying, everyone else was trying not to move even an inch and make their presence known. They didn't want to cut their tearful reunion short by distracting them.
Vincent, who was standing right next to the two of them was smiling and thinking to himself, 'These two are quite something, huh… I hope the Queen didn't curse me for separating her from Tilla.'
