Chapter 416: Chapter 394: Hijacking
An hour later, the plane flew over a mountainous area.
Turning his head, Chen Xiao patted the soundly sleeping nurse.
"Hey, wake up, time to get to work."
The nurse’s snoring broke off in the middle and then swallowed suddenly with a "gulp," as if it had been sucked in. "Ah~~! Are we there?" she asked, groggily.
Chen Xiao’s eyes glazed over, "If we were there, this trip would have been for nothing."
"Oh, right." As if just coming to her senses, the nurse wiped the drool from her collar, "Let’s go."
Following that, the two made their way to the airliner’s aisle and cast their gazes toward a bald boy sitting at the very back. The boy stood up upon seeing them and took out a cellphone from his pocket.
"Cellphone sir, please go ahead and cut off the plane’s connection signal to the ground," he said. However, there supposedly shouldn’t be any signal on the plane, so it sounded more like he was talking to himself.
Suddenly, a voice came through, "I told you, call me ’Kolak’!"
The boy frowned in annoyance, "What kind of name is that, it’s just your document name and Eniak’s cut and shoved together, it’s so ugly!"
"I don’t care, I want this name!" The voice seemed quite unreasonable.
"Fine, fine." The boy seemed unable to argue with the voice and reluctantly agreed, completely ignoring the passengers beside him who were looking at him with an expression of surprise and as if he was insane.
At this very moment, Chen Xiao and the nurse were already nearing the cabin door. The flight attendant stood up politely, "Hello, the cockpit is right ahead, and the restroom is over this way." She waved her hand, indicating behind the two.
"Oh, thank you!" Chen Xiao said disinterestedly, then proceeded to try to walk past, pockets in hands.
Noticing his intention, the flight attendant immediately extended her hand to stop him, "Sir, you cannot go any further."
Then, the nurse behind him leaned over, "Let him go, miss. He’s got a really terrible personality."
The flight attendant stared blankly at the two of them, not knowing what they intended to do, but certain it wasn’t anything normal, so she immediately turned to pick up the intercom on the wall.
"Security, we have two passengers who want to..." She suddenly stopped talking, because the intercom had no signal at all.
Seizing the moment, Chen Xiao had already crouched and slipped into the cockpit.
The flight attendant must have realized something was amiss and quickly spread her arms in front of Chen Xiao.
"Sir, your behavior is affecting our normal operations, please return to your seat immediately!"
Chen Xiao looked at the woman in front of him. She was beautiful, with exquisite makeup, and her professional attire undoubtedly gave her a lot of charm, so Chen Xiao was very annoyed. He pushed her aside and walked straight into the cockpit. Meanwhile, several other crew members from the back had realized something was happening and rushed over quickly.
Seeing so many people approaching, the flight attendant seemed to find some courage and grabbed the corner of Chen Xiao’s clothes.
"You have already violated..."
Although she was annoyed at being pushed, she still responded as she had practiced during training. After all, many passengers were watching, and she couldn’t just slap back. But suddenly, she found she could no longer speak...
She saw the man in front of her turn around, his arm swinging, and then it seemed as if her airflow had been cut off, unable to reach her vocal cords, followed by a bout of intense coughing that produced no sound.
"Ahhh!!!!" A scream came from a seat not far away, and she felt a hot stream flowing down her neck, sticky and with a strong smell of blood.
She looked down and saw that the man opposite her was actually holding a knife... How could a knife possibly be brought onto a plane??
She no longer had time to ponder this, because she finally realized her throat had been sliced open. Instinctively, she reached up to cover it, but the blood was spurting out through the gaps between her fingers. The flight attendant’s legs gave out, and she knelt down, the man looking disdainfully backward, as if afraid of getting his pants stained with blood.
The slovenly woman came over: "You see, I told you he’s got a rotten personality, right?" She had an ’I told you so, but you wouldn’t listen’ look on her face...
At that moment, a few sky marshals rushed over and grabbed the man’s shoulders. Then, she saw the man thrust the knife into one of their chests, his expression as if he were doing something utterly mundane. Screams erupted all around in chaos, but now they were indistinct. She then saw an extremely skinny woman with short hair suddenly appear, as if popping out of thin air, with two daggers in her hands. She waived them lightly and spun around, and everyone who rushed towards her fell down.
Her vision started to blur, and she finally collapsed on the ground. Soon after, she saw a colleague falling down before her eyes, a horrendous hole in the place of the eyes. He was still screaming, trying to cover the wound, only to find his hand was nowhere to be found.
She tried to scream out of instinct, but all that came from her throat were a few gurgling sounds, and then everything went dark.
...
She had no idea how much time had passed when she suddenly opened her eyes.
It was as if everything that had happened was just a dream. Struggling to her feet, she realized she was still on the plane, distinctive turbulence telling her the plane had not landed but was still in flight. She was in the aisle before the cockpit, and the ground was stained with blood that hadn’t yet dried, but there was no sign of the corpse from before.
"Cough, cough!"
She coughed subconsciously and then found that her throat was miraculously intact. She turned her head toward the cabin and saw some people gathered together, some, like her, had just gotten up. She saw her colleague now standing anxiously among the crowd, the hole in his eyes gone, and his hand reappeared.
What... what on earth was going on?
But before she could start to ponder,
"Screech—screech—"
A sound of static.
"Hey, ladies and gentlemen, I am a passenger on this flight, and I prefer not to disclose my name for the time being, as I assume no one is interested... um... This is an awkward way to start a conversation," muttered the person through the microphone.
"Cut the crap and get to the point!" a woman’s voice chimed in, cold and without a hint of warmth.
"Right, right! Cough, cough. So, to put it simply, this plane has been hijacked by us. For some reason, killing you guys is a bit of a hassle, and throwing you out directly would cause too many deaths, which would draw some beings’ attention... Ah, shoot!"
"Get to the point!!" the woman’s voice demanded again.
"Alright, to make it even shorter, I’d like to ask all passengers to jump out, there’s a lock on the cabin door, just open it. Beside the door, there’s a girl; ask her for parachutes, no need to rush, she has as many as you need. So... that’s about it, please queue and follow some order, otherwise, we’ll have to throw you out, and that’s quite troublesome..."
