Chapter 395: Chapter 286 Zodiac Spending Money_1
Feng Chi suddenly pulled off this move during the talent show segment, and some people on set were dumbfounded.
There were also guests by the side egging him on, clapping.
Indeed, no one had ever performed this style of talent in the show before!
With the atmosphere of cheering and clapping around him, Feng Chi danced with the ribbon dragon even more vigorously.
Feng Yi clicked on the live comments, and the nearly explosive "Awesome awesome awesome" and "Hahaha" flashed by, along with one bolded comment—
"You shouldn’t be in an amusement park, you should be square dancing!"
Feng Chi’s talent was, relatively speaking, quite niche and extremely distinctive, making a lasting impression.
Once the dance ended, he finished his routine.
Feng Chi, holding the dragon’s head and gasping for breath, nearly laughed his head off.
Someone asked him nearby, "Why not do another dragon or lion dance?"
Feng Chi replied regretfully, "I actually can do it! I wanted to do a dragon or lion dance for the talent segment, but without any partners, I could only resort to ribbon dancing with the dragon."
Feng Yi recalled the past when he was a child; Feng Chi really had participated in dragon and lion dances, but back then, it was purely for fun, like children’s games.
Feng Yi didn’t know when Feng Chi had practiced, but hearing him talk on the show, he had this feeling that his brother wasn’t bluffing—if someone were to cooperate and provide the equipment, Feng Chi truly could perform a dragon or lion dance on the spot!
After leaving a message for Feng Chi, Feng Yi closed the video window and put his phone in his pocket, planning to rewatch it from the beginning when he got back.
Qian Feiyang had finished dealing with things and came out.
Seeing Qian Feiyang sit down, Feng Yi pointed at the glass on the table, "Your cat touched it with its paws."
Qian Feiyang, who was about to take a drink from the glass, paused and put the glass back down.
Looking at the water stains on the table, Qian Feiyang adeptly took out a wet wipe to clean it.
Feng Yi, curious, asked, "Aren’t you mad?"
He noticed Qian Feiyang showed hardly any emotion toward the matter.
Qian Feiyang, with a helpless expression, said, "I’m used to it."
After cleaning the table, Qian Feiyang playfully rubbed the tabby cat next to him, as if kneading dough.
After chatting for a while about recent events, Qian Feiyang asked, "So, are you going to spend most of your time in Yang City from now on?"
Feng Yi: "Yeah. Even if I visit Rong City, I’ll stay near Yue Mountain."
It wasn’t safe to live in the high-rise here.
It wasn’t safe for him to live there, nor for the other residents.
Qian Feiyang nodded in understanding. He didn’t think too deeply about it; he just assumed that given Feng Yi’s current fame, it was indeed better to live on the outskirts of the city.
Qian Feiyang then asked, "If you’re not living in that apartment here, are you going to rent it out, or are you going to sell it?"
Feng Yi: "I don’t plan to sell it just yet."
He wasn’t in need of money now, and anyway, he had bought that apartment with his own efforts during college, his first personal residence; he wanted to keep it as a memento.
"Are you interested in renting?" asked Feng Yi.
"Yes, we’ve hired more people at the studio, and I was planning to rent another apartment in the community to turn the studio’s bedroom into a dormitory for the staff. I’d live in the rented place."
"Then you can use my apartment, the furniture is all there, just clean up a bit before moving in," Feng Yi said.
He had already moved the important stuff out of the apartment there, but all the basic essentials for daily use were left behind.
He had intended to find someone to look after the place occasionally, but now that Qian Feiyang was interested in renting, it was perfect.
Furthermore, since it was Qian Feiyang living there and not the staff, Feng Yi felt even more at ease.
While they were talking, the cat ambled over to a square grass mat and lay down on it—not far from Feng Yi.
Feng Yi reached out and petted it, and the cat didn’t shy away.
Seeing this, Qian Feiyang simply thought that Ba Jiao was now used to mingling with the staff in the studio and wasn’t afraid of people anymore—no longer rejecting Feng Yi.
In the past, the cat was friendly to everyone except Feng Yi.
When it was sleeping in the bay window and someone went to pet it, it couldn’t be bothered to care. Except when it came to Feng Yi.
But now things were better.
Feng Yi looked at the tabby cat beneath his hands.
Last year when he petted Ba Jiao like this, the cat had dodged him midway through. His own scent had made Ba Jiao wary.
Now, without that information stimulus, they indeed got along better.
Just as he was thinking this, the cat lying on its side on the grass mat suddenly bit down hard on Feng Yi’s finger.
Seeing this, Qian Feiyang hurried over, "Are you hurt?!"
Gauging the force of Ba Jiao’s bite, he was certain the skin had been broken!
Feng Yi, withdrawing his hand, said calmly, "It’s nothing."
Qian Feiyang didn’t believe him and quickly took out a first aid kit from the nearby cabinet, insisting on treating the wound.
Feng Yi didn’t get up, "Really, it’s nothing."
He showed the bitten finger to Qian Feiyang to inspect.
Qian Feiyang, still incredulous, checked it carefully.
Indeed, the skin hadn’t been broken, and the bite mark wasn’t distinct. In a short while, even this faint impression would vanish.
Relieved, Qian Feiyang said: "Thank goodness it didn’t break the skin. The way it was biting, I broke out in a cold sweat!"
His own cat was vaccinated and had always been kept indoors without ever being let out. If he himself had been scratched or bitten, Qian Feiyang could calmly handle it. But if someone else got hurt, he would have to take on more responsibility.
Still, he took out an alcohol wipe and had Feng Yi clean it.
Qian Feiyang said, "It doesn’t usually bite like that; it might have been half asleep. I guess it might have mistaken you for the grass mat."
Feng Yi believed this explanation. After reducing his scent, indeed, he could be mistaken for another object.
Qian Feiyang, looking troubled, explained to Feng Yi, "Recently, I bought a pure natural straw cooling mat as a background prop for the photography studio, and it caught its fancy. If I wasn’t careful, it would sneak in to nibble on the cooling mat. I had no choice but to look for another straw crafts shop and had the owner custom-make a grass mat—that’s what it’s lying on now. Look, it’s even chewed the edges ragged."
