This time entering the swamp, the original plan was to prioritize rest during the first three nights and to search during the nights of the last two days if nothing was discovered during the initial period. The swamp at night is when the large predators come out. It’s a dangerous time, especially near the water.

The mist grew thicker, which would normally be a signal for most people to turn back immediately and not proceed further. Staying away from the water’s edge would be the smart choice.

He could sense some eyes watching him, but he didn’t pay them any attention.

Alligators surfaced, showing only their eyes and nostrils.

Their eyes would reflect light.

Steve had tried it before; a shine of light and there were many pairs of glowing eyes on the water surface. The size of the crocodiles could be estimated from these shining eyes.

After passing through dense undergrowth and skirting several water holes, there was a pond ahead.

The chilling hissing sound seemed especially sinister in the night.

Feng Yi stared at the python in front of him. He didn’t know which species it was, and judging by the scent, it was likely a hybrid python, not one documented by the research center.

It was highly aggressive and had a bit of a temper.

And judging by its size, it could swallow a normal adult whole.

A python over 6 meters was already a grave threat to an adult and could show signs of active aggression and intention to swallow.

And this one was definitely over six meters!
