Chapter 335: Chapter 335: Let’s Play Something Thrilling
In the car heading back to Qingcheng.
Qiao Rui, He Lan, and He Zheng, the siblings, along with Si Ran, sat in the back, feeling bored and playing cards.
Qiao Rui and He Lan teamed up, while Si Ran and He Zheng were on the other team as they played cards.
Si Ran refused to look He Zheng in the eye throughout the game.
As a result, the two of them had zero teamwork and lost every single round.
Qiao Rui and He Lan won every time.
Gradually, He Lan grew dissatisfied and started shouting, "We can’t keep playing like this! It’s no fun at all—no stakes, no excitement. Winning is meaningless. Let’s play something spicy!"
"Something spicy? Like what?" He Zheng shot back.
"Truth or Dare, of course," He Lan declared. "That’s what we should play."
Si Ran froze for a moment and finally glanced over at He Zheng.
Coincidentally, He Zheng also looked her way, and their gazes met in mid-air.
He Zheng flashed a faint smile and said, "Si Ran definitely wouldn’t play such a juvenile game. You, as a kid, shouldn’t even be talking about games with stakes."
He Lan snorted softly, "I think you’re just scared to play, bro. What makes you think you can speak on Si Ran’s behalf?"
"I’m merely vocalizing her inner thoughts," He Zheng replied smugly. "Right, Si Ran?"
Si Ran chuckled softly and said, "President He, sorry to disappoint you—Truth or Dare sounds quite fun. Count me in!"
Bang!
He Lan slammed the table and cheered excitedly, "See?! Told you Si Ran was on board."
He Zheng twitched his lips in irritation, grinning faintly. "Si Ran, purposely going against me for kicks, huh?"
"You misunderstood, President He," Si Ran said with an indifferent smile. "I genuinely want to play."
Qiao Rui silently observed them before chiming in with a smile, "Go ahead, President He. If you’re worried about spilling out any truths, just don’t join in."
"There’s no alcohol to drink in the car either. If someone loses, and there’s no Truth or Dare penalty, then what?"
"Imitate a cat," suggested Qiao Rui.
"Imitating a cat is too tame—it should be imitating a dog," He Lan added. "Three minutes of dog barking."
Three minutes of dog barking?
Qiao Rui glanced at He Lan. This girl is savage.
Qiao Rui couldn’t help but laugh. Being around He Lan for a while, you’d realize her thought process is utterly bizarre, making her irresistibly entertaining—frustrating yet endearing.
"Stop laughing," He Lan said, shooting Qiao Rui a glance. "Don’t you want to see my brother pretending to be a dog?"
"Why does it have to be me barking like a dog?" He Zheng retorted.
"Because you’re the only man here. You expect us girls to do it instead?" He Lan shot back directly. "It has to be you. Of course, if we lose, we’ll do it too."
He Zheng snorted coldly and said, "I feel like you’re conspiring with them to set me up."
"What’s in it for me to set you up?" He Lan pouted. "Don’t be so suspicious all the time. You men are so indecisive. Are we playing or not? Make it quick."
He Zheng glanced at the three of them, remaining silent as his gaze swept over them.
Si Ran also threw him a glance and said, "Forget it, He Lan. President He doesn’t have the guts to play."
"Who said I wouldn’t dare?" He Zheng objected immediately, yelling, "I know you’re trying to use reverse psychology on me, but I’m not that pathetic! Si Ran, prepare to bark like a little puppy!"
Si Ran: "....."
"Bro, this time we’re playing individually—no teams," He Lan declared.
Qiao Rui immediately caught on—this girl truly wanted to mess with He Zheng.
"Forget the cards. Let’s play with a bottle," Qiao Rui suggested.
"With a bottle?" He Lan turned to Qiao Rui. "Like spinning it?"
"Exactly," Qiao Rui nodded. "The neck of the bottle points at whoever loses. Then the loser picks either Truth or Dare for their penalty."
"Good, this sounds fun," He Lan grinned cheerfully. "Let’s do it!"
"We don’t have a bottle," He Zheng pointed out, glancing at them.
"I have one." Si Ran pulled out a slender bottle of nail polish. "This will do!"
He Zheng was at a loss for words.
"Let me spin," Qiao Rui said with a smile, and the game began.
On the first spin, the bottle pointed straight at He Zheng.
He Zheng looked at them in disbelief. "Is my luck really so bad? I’m the first to lose!"
"Indeed, Mr. He," Qiao Rui said with a faint smile. "Maybe your personal magnetic field is just too weak to overcome ours."
"I’ll go with Truth. No way am I barking like a dog," He Zheng replied.
"What should we ask him?" Qiao Rui looked at He Lan and Si Ran.
The two of them were visibly excited, clearly brainstorming questions. Suddenly, He Lan chirped, "Ask my brother when he lost his virginity!"
*Spit!* He Zheng nearly choked on his own saliva, glaring at He Lan as he frowned in irritation. "What on earth is in that head of yours?"
"My mind is perfectly normal. Don’t believe me? Ask Qiao Rui and Si Ran if they’re curious about the answer too," He Lan countered.
"Like hell they’d care about boring stuff like that," He Zheng retorted.
"No, let’s go with that question," Qiao Rui agreed with a sly smile, glancing at He Lan and then Si Ran.
He Lan’s eyes lit up with excitement.
Even Si Ran seemed intrigued as she nodded. "President He, just answer this one."
He Zheng was speechless, his gaze shifting to Si Ran. A glimmer of light flickered in his eyes. "Fine, listen closely. My first time is still intact. I haven’t given it away yet."
"How is that possible?" He Lan objected immediately. "You’re practically a legend at nightclubs! Who doesn’t know you’re a notorious player?"
Si Ran froze, her thoughts spiraling in shock as she stared at He Zheng, her eyes full of disbelief.
How could that be?
How could he still be a "pure" man? He partied so hard, just like He Lan described—a clubbing legend surrounded by women.
"If you aren’t truthful, this game loses its purpose," Si Ran said coldly.
He Zheng raised an eyebrow. "Si Ran, your tone. Why are you so certain I wasn’t truthful?"
Si Ran met his gaze, discerning truth from lies within his ambiguous expression.
"Only your conscience knows whether you’re honest or not," Si Ran responded coolly.
He Zheng stared deeply at her calm and indifferent face, raising an eyebrow again. "Believe what you want."
"Bro, I don’t think I believe it either," He Lan chimed in.
"Go away," He Zheng snapped at his sister irritably. "Stop causing trouble."
"How am I causing trouble?" He Lan argued unwillingly. "We made it clear—this is Truth or Dare. Don’t be so insincere."
He Zheng snorted, "My character speaks for itself."
"What character?" He Lan shot back.
He Zheng was exasperated, scoffing lightly, "I’m not one to lie."
"I believe him," Qiao Rui said with a light laugh.
"The sister-in-law has good character," He Zheng immediately brightened up. "Thanks for the vote of confidence."
Still smiling, Qiao Rui quipped, "Mr. He, if you weren’t truthful, how about you stay impotent for life?"
He Zheng: "..."
"Hahahaha!"
