Chapter 317: Chapter 317 Liu Garden, I have checked it
Jiang Jinfeng and Qi Yun immediately put all their strength into blocking Pei Liyan, one on the left and one on the right, intercepting him.
Qi Yun directly attacked Pei Liyan’s lower back, while Jiang Jinfeng went for his chest, their movements lightning-quick.
Pei Liyan, however, remained calm and unhurried. He raised his hand swiftly to block Jiang Jinfeng’s punch, his deep gaze flashing briefly before he countered with a side kick to stop Qi Yun’s attack.
In an instant, the three figures clashed swiftly and smoothly.
Though Pei Liyan fought barehanded, his moves were fierce and caught both Qi Yun and Jiang Jinfeng off guard.
His techniques were so powerful that, if fought one-on-one, neither Qi Yun nor Jiang Jinfeng stood a chance.
He truly was a man who kept his true abilities hidden.
Even as he faced the relentless assault from Jiang Jinfeng and Qi Yun, he handled it with ease, showing no sign of intimidation or weakness whatsoever.
Gai Yin was also startled.
She could tell that if Pei Liyan were to make a move, she wouldn’t be able to hold her ground against him.
Leaving now seemed inappropriate.
Pei Liyan suddenly retreated a step, launching into the air with a spinning kick that forced Jiang Jinfeng back and landed a strike on his shoulder.
"Jinfeng." Gai Yin called out softly, preparing to rush in and join efforts to corner Pei Liyan.
But Jiang Jinfeng sharply commanded, "Stick to your task, don’t worry about us."
Startled by his words, Gai Yin paused.
She then addressed Pei Liyan, "Mr. Pei, we will spar another day. For now, I have urgent matters to attend to and must take my leave."
"Trying to escape? Not a chance." Pei Liyan’s thin lips curled into a cold smile, firm determination shining in his eyes. He wouldn’t let her slip away today.
"Go now." Jiang Jinfeng shouted again. He had clearly sensed Pei Liyan’s formidable skill and knew fighting recklessly was unwise.
Only then did Gai Yin turn to leave.
Pei Liyan moved to chase her, but Jiang Jinfeng and Qi Yun combined forces to block him.
Gai Yin quickly got into a car, which sped away from Liu Garden.
Pei Liyan’s deep gaze flashed with a cold glint as he glanced at Jiang Jinfeng and remarked, "President Jiang, quite the skill you have. You’re full of surprises!"
"Mr. Pei is the true master, hiding your talents superbly," Jiang Jinfeng retorted smoothly.
Pei Liyan chuckled faintly, his strikes still sharp and terrifying.
Interestingly, his blows landed only on Jiang Jinfeng, avoiding Qi Yun entirely.
At least he didn’t target the woman—still somewhat of a gentleman.
Admiration flickered in Jiang Jinfeng’s eyes. He truly was a man of substance; otherwise, he wouldn’t be deserving of Ruirui.
Previously, Jiang Jinfeng had thought little of him. But now, after exchanging blows with him, he realized Pei Liyan was truly exceptional.
Ruirui clearly had a sharp eye.
Even so, Jiang Jinfeng refused to show weakness, returning each punch and move with fierce determination. Even when struck, he didn’t back down an inch.
Qi Yun grew anxious.
She realized Pei Liyan’s attacks were all heavy blows targeting Jiang Jinfeng, while she received only perfunctory defenses, devoid of genuine engagement—as if he looked down on women.
Frustration spurred her resolve, and she fought harder.
As Pei Liyan aimed a punch at Jiang Jinfeng’s chest, Qi Yun moved swiftly, placing herself between the two men just in time.
Pei Liyan’s fist couldn’t retract in time and struck Qi Yun’s shoulder squarely.
"Ugh!" A muffled groan of pain escaped Qi Yun.
"Qi Yun?" Jiang Jinfeng instinctively grabbed her and pulled back, asking, "Are you alright?"
"I’m fine." Qi Yun shook her head and steadied herself.
Pei Liyan didn’t press forward but instead looked at them with a faint smile, his eyes gleaming with cunning intensity.
Both Jiang Jinfeng and Qi Yun were taken aback by his smile.
It was chillingly sinister.
He seemed to have discovered something, and the sharpness in his demeanor was downright unsettling.
"Mr. Pei, what arrogance!" Qi Yun scoffed coldly. "Are you flaunting yourself in our Liu Garden?"
"I have enough reason to be arrogant, don’t I?" Pei Liyan sneered. "My men were detained by you. That’s their incompetence—but don’t mistake it for my weakness. Today, I formally notify you: Liu Garden—I will uncover everything!"
With that declaration, he dialed for reinforcements to come carry people out.
Ten minutes later, Pei Liyan sat in a car and made a call to Si Ran.
Si Ran’s phone had no signal.
Pei Liyan instructed Ludao’s reception desk to locate her.
Soon enough, the receptionist found Si Ran.
Si Ran answered the call.
Qiao Rui was enjoying a delicious breakfast alone in her room.
"President Pei?" Si Ran called Pei Liyan back.
"Where’s Qiao Rui?"
"Madam is having breakfast in her room," Si Ran responded. "She hasn’t gone out."
"Are you certain?"
"Yes," Si Ran confirmed. "I’ve been by her side the whole time—no trips out, no calls either. The phone signal was jammed."
Pei Liyan paused momentarily, a wave of mixed emotions rippling through him. Where had things gone awry?
"Is something wrong, President?" Si Ran asked worriedly.
"Nothing." Pei Liyan replied indifferently. "Fang Mo and Lu Heming will return shortly. Arrange for a doctor to evaluate their condition, and personally stay with Qiao Rui."
"Understood." Si Ran agreed.
The call ended.
Although Si Ran wasn’t entirely sure of the situation, she could tell that tonight had been anything but ordinary.
Fang Mo and Lu Heming were brought back.
Except—they were carried upstairs.
Seeing them, Si Ran couldn’t help but worry. They were elite professionals, yet here they were, brought back unconscious. What exactly was Liu Garden’s true nature?
Fang Mo’s face was battered and swollen, barely resembling his usual appearance.
"Ah?" Si Ran gasped upon seeing the scene. "Who in the world did this to them?"
No one answered her—all those privy to the details were still knocked out cold.
Pei Liyan arrived shortly afterward.
Upon entering, his first order was for Si Ran to remove the signal jammers.
"What about Ruirui?"
"Madam is in her room," Si Ran immediately replied.
"Tend to Heming and Fang Mo, but ensure you don’t disturb me."
"Of course!" Si Ran promptly called in doctors for thorough examinations.
Before the checkups were complete, Lu Heming regained consciousness.
As soon as he opened his eyes and realized he was back in Ludao, he sighed in relief. "So I’ve returned," he muttered.
Turning his head, he caught sight of Si Ran and froze. "Secretary Si, how was I brought back?"
"President himself retrieved you," Si Ran answered.
"To Liu Garden to get us?" Lu Heming abruptly sat upright.
At the same time, Fang Mo woke up. He jumped out of bed instinctively but winced in pain, drawing several sharp breaths from his injuries.
"Fang Mo, are you alright?" Si Ran asked with concern.
Seeing Si Ran, Fang Mo immediately shouted, "I’m back? Has the boss found out about the mess I made?"
Si Ran: "..."
"Quick, tell me!" Fang Mo pressed her, "Has the president seen us yet?"
"You likely overheard already—it was President Pei who brought you back." Lu Heming chimed in.
"I thought I was caught in a nightmare," Fang Mo admitted, turning back to Si Ran. "The boss must be furious, right?"
Si Ran shook her head. "His expression doesn’t show anger, but my intuition tells me things aren’t looking good."
"I’m doomed!" Fang Mo collapsed dramatically onto the bed, utterly despondent. "This is the end of me."
Si Ran had no words of consolation.
Pei Liyan entered the suite, his gaze immediately landing on the girl curled up on the sofa.
Her hair cascaded down loosely, her head lowered in thought.
The sound of the door opening didn’t make Qiao Rui look up.
Pei Liyan’s deep and inscrutable gaze fixed on her.
"Not tired?" He asked.
Only then did Qiao Rui lift her eyes, noticing he had returned. "Exhausted, actually," she replied instantly. "But too tired to fall asleep, strangely enough."
"Is that so?" Pei Liyan chuckled softly, giving Qiao Rui an enigmatic look. "I thought you couldn’t sleep because you were worried."
