Chapter 307: Chapter 307: The Secret of the Pregnancy Is Out

Everyone stopped at this moment, all eyes turning to Song Muyu.

Scarlet blood slowly seeped from Song Muyu’s calf, tracing down to her feet, soaking her white shoes. Even under the dim streetlights, it was clearly visible.

Everyone froze, stunned—no one had expected blood.

Song Muyu couldn’t endure the pain, clutching at her stomach.

A spasm wracked her body, and the sharp ache nearly made her collapse.

The pain was unbearable.

Song Muyu thought her body had stabilized over the last couple of days, but unexpectedly, a single impact on her stomach had triggered such intense pain.

"Miss Song?" Qi Yun called out nervously.

"I’m fine." Song Muyu smiled faintly in an attempt to reassure her, but her balance faltered—she toppled forward.

"Ah, careful!" Qi Yun reacted swiftly, catching Song Muyu in her arms.

Leaning against Qi Yun’s embrace, Song Muyu still managed to tug at the corners of her lips and offer Qi Yun a pale, reassuring smile. "I’m fine, don’t worry."

Fang Mo hadn’t anticipated such an incident either; for a moment, he stood there, dumbstruck.

His gaze instinctively shifted to Lu Heming.

They had come to apprehend someone, not to cause Mr. Song’s sister to bleed.

He hadn’t done much—how could there suddenly be so much blood, almost like hemorrhaging?

Lu Heming glanced at Fang Mo and subtly shook his head.

Anyone with a discerning eye could tell what was happening.

Though even Lu Heming was a little taken aback, his gaze swept over Song Muyu’s pale face.

It was well-known that Song Muyu and Song Xun were not biological siblings—Miss Song was adopted by the Song Family—but Song Xun seemed to treat this sister differently.

However, Song Muyu’s sudden bleeding was an obvious sign of miscarriage.

In any case, losing this much blood was clearly not just an unusually heavy period.

Lu Heming’s expression tightened as he spoke gravely, "Better get her to the hospital immediately."

Jiang Jinfeng’s face tightened upon seeing Song Muyu bleeding, conflicting emotions flashing in his eyes. He swiftly scooped her up. "Qi Yun, hurry, we’re going to the hospital."

"Alright!" Qi Yun was startled too. This was the second time now—both incidents involving abrupt, excessive bleeding. Last time, it had been her own hemorrhaging, and she managed to stop it in time. But this time, it was clearly worse.

Qi Yun also felt the urgency. They had to go to the hospital.

Mrs. Song stood far away, catching fragments of their conversation. She looked over and was utterly shocked.

The vivid blood-red hue caught her attention instantly.

Mrs. Song’s mouth parted slightly, an astonished expression crossing her face. "This, this..."

She couldn’t finish her sentence, her brows furrowing into tight knots.

Could this bleeding mean...?

Mrs. Song didn’t dare think further. The entire situation left her deeply worried.

"What’s going on here?" The housekeeper was alarmed too, his expression full of shock and confusion as he turned to Mrs. Song. "Madam, what’s wrong with Miss Muyu?"

"Quick, go inside and bring out a blanket," Mrs. Song feigned composure.

She shook her head—no, it couldn’t be what she thought.

If it was, she would be absolutely livid.

The housekeeper saw Mrs. Song’s expression and didn’t dare to press further. "Yes, I’ll go get it right now."

Mrs. Song composed herself slightly, then hurried over, asking anxiously, "Muyu, are you alright?"

Song Muyu’s smile was faint and weak. Hearing Mrs. Song’s voice, her expression froze briefly, a hint of guilt flashing in her eyes—she didn’t dare meet Mrs. Song’s gaze.

Yet, Song Muyu quickly adjusted her emotions.

She shook her head slightly. "Mom, I’m fine. You don’t need to worry about me."

Mrs. Song noticed Jiang Jinfeng holding her, the blood beneath her body appearing copious. Her expression paled instantly. "Last time, you said it was trouble with your period—I thought it wasn’t anything serious. Has this been dragged on too long? Hurry to the hospital; we need to address this properly."

Song Muyu’s expression was deeply conflicted.

Mrs. Song’s words carried intentional meaning—she was speaking for the benefit of those present.

Even now, Mrs. Song prioritized maintaining the Song Family’s reputation, fearing that rumors of an unmarried pregnancy and miscarriage would tarnish the family name.

Song Muyu couldn’t fail to catch the implication.

Mrs. Song stood in their way, preventing Jiang Jinfeng from advancing with her in his arms. He grew visibly frustrated.

Jiang Jinfeng exchanged a look with Qi Yun, both then turning toward Mrs. Song.

Mrs. Song still hadn’t moved aside.

Jiang Jinfeng’s expression hardened, his face tense, as he addressed Qi Yun sharply, "Qi Yun, hurry—we don’t have time to waste."

"Mrs. Song, please step aside!" Qi Yun urged, seeing Mrs. Song still blocking the path.

It was unclear whether Mrs. Song was truly frightened and panicking about Muyu or had some ulterior motivation for standing there. Whatever the reason, her action felt utterly excessive.

Faced with Qi Yun’s reminder, Mrs. Song’s expression changed abruptly, and she quickly moved out of the way.

They managed to reach the car door.

Qi Yun hastily opened the door, and Jiang Jinfeng placed Song Muyu inside.

Mrs. Song climbed into the car right after them.

"Muyu, Mom will take care of you. Hurry, get to the hospital." She grew increasingly anxious. "Mr. Jiang, please drive faster."

"I will!" Jiang Jinfeng responded firmly.

"Mom, you don’t need to come to the hospital. Qi Yun can take care of me. You should stay here; there’s a lot to handle at home." Song Muyu didn’t want Mrs. Song to discover her pregnancy and miscarriage.

Given the current circumstances, there was little need for explanation—anyone could piece it together, especially a woman like Mrs. Song who had borne children herself.

Mrs. Song would surely suspect something.

Song Muyu couldn’t afford to let that happen, so she preferred Mrs. Song stay behind.

"What are you worried about?" Mrs. Song’s penetrating gaze swept over her, sharp and assessing, so intense that it left Song Muyu fumbling to respond.

Instinctively, Muyu pursed her lips. "Mom, I’m really fine—I just don’t want you to worry about me unnecessarily."

"It’s my duty to worry about you," Mrs. Song said, her brows furrowing slightly as she urged Jiang Jinfeng and Qi Yun, "Hurry, get to the hospital—time is of the essence."

Song Muyu still wanted to say something, but Mrs. Song was already looking at Jiang Jinfeng.

The blood seemed to keep flowing. Jiang Jinfeng couldn’t waste any more time and immediately started the car.

Qi Yun sat in the passenger seat without paying further attention to Fang Mo or Lu Heming, as the car sped toward the hospital.

Fang Mo frowned slightly, turning to Lu Heming. "President Lu, what should we do now? We didn’t manage to grab anyone, and Miss Song ended up hurt."

"Go to the hospital!" Lu Heming replied decisively. "You head to the hospital and keep an eye on things. I’ll go to Liu Garden—we’ll split up."

Fang Mo hesitated for a second before nodding. "Alright, that works."

Lu Heming left first with his team.

Fang Mo lingered outside the Song residence briefly before gathering his people and following after them to the hospital.

When Song Xun returned, the entrance had already cleared out; the housekeeper stood at the door clutching a blanket, his face filled with anxiety.

Song Xun lowered his car window and looked at the housekeeper. "What are you doing standing at the door?"

"Young Master, you’re back!" The housekeeper’s demeanor shifted upon seeing Song Xun—as though he’d found his pillar of support. "Something went wrong just now. Miss Muyu was covered in blood and has been sent to the hospital!"

Song Xun’s expression changed drastically, his voice trembling with urgency. "What are you saying? Explain to me clearly!"
