Chapter 82: DUCIANA’S MOVE

The Tizheruk had already left the next day by the time we woke up to prepare for the office. I dropped Conri off at the office and then headed to the Due Corporation. It was close to noon when I got a phone call from the City council about the documents I had filled out during our wedding on the properties we would co-share with Conri.

I left the office after briefing Zeeb and Anisha and rushed to the City council offices. On arrival, I found that the officer in charge had stepped out and I opted to wait for him while I caught up with emails from my phone. The scent of a strong perfume hit my nostrils and then I heard Ducian Due’s voice reach before I lifted my head.

"CEO Lucian," she smiled creepily.

I raised one eyebrow in response and went back to read my emails.

"I am afraid Mr. Peterson has left for the day. I would urge you to come back another day," she stated.

I tilted my head and stared at her for the second time. It was when I noticed the city hall badge that she was wearing. Who in the right mind hired this sick woman? I stood up to leave, and she grabbed my arm and insisted, "But I can assist you if you want"

I pulled my hand away from her and growled, "Don’t ever touch me, you wacko"

And with that, I walked towards the lift and got in. Before the lift closed, Duciana slid in and then leaned back on the left side while she smiled like a fool. I felt Freki rise and growl at her and in seconds my vision blurred. I called out for Dolf before my feet gave way and I blacked out.

By the time I came to it, I was tied to the bed, my body heavily drugged. I tried to reach Freki, but whatever drug they had used also made Freki sleep. I breathed a sigh of relief when I realized I was clothed, only my legs did not have shoes on. Well, it was better than finding myself naked, tied to the bed.

"You are finally awake," I heard a voice from the corner of the room.

I turned towards the voice and there sat Duciana Due, looking high and I could smell the drugs on her.

"You’ve got to be kidding me," I whispered to myself.

"You are built like an ox. I normally spray a small dosage of the drug, but for you, I had to take such high quantities that it irritated me. "She sniffed and her eyes rolled back.

"Why am I here? "I growled.

"Because I want you, "Her voice slurred.

"You are delusional," I snickered and tried to get my hands free from the chains.

"Don’t bother. They filled the chains with napellus. The drug slowly slips into your bloodstream and knows your wolf out" She laughed.

"Really? "I smirked.

She stood up and staggered, laughing cynically. " Why would you smirk?"

"Because I know Conri will find me wherever I will be. And when he does, you will regret it, "I boasted.

"Really? The more the merrier. " She removed her shirt and remained with a lace bra.

"You are truly crazy, " I laughed until my body shook on the bed. I felt the drug starting to wear off and then I felt Freki stir.

"Contact Dolf "I send the message through the mind link.

I heard the door of the room open and realized we were in a hotel.

"You are late," Duciana snickered and then I spotted Lyal Aria

I raised an eyebrow and smirked at him with amusement. I never expected him to be at the hotel, but knew that this would make the case easier at the KODA council. I had finally found a way to pin Alpha Lobo down.

"Freki, you don’t look so well. I can see Duciana is quite the woman. She took Freki down. "Lyal clapped.

"Did she now? "I laughed. "You are all twisted. What will you tell the KODA council?"

"I will cry a bowl of tears and say you seduced me," Duciana battered her lashes as she staggered.

"I can help with that, " Lyal snickered, and then grabbed her bra and tore one lace off.

"Oops," Duciana laughed out loud like a maniac

"Anything is possible in Alaska," Lyal stated. " As long as my brother is Alpha, no one can defend you"

I felt the presence of Conri before I saw him. I closed my eyes and sent him a message through our mind link" I can sense your presence mate"

"Yes. I came with Benjamin and Tala. "He responded. "Freki has been helpful."

"Lyal Aria is here with Duciana. They used napella in the chains that were holding me. It knocked both Freki and me down. I am tired on the bed. "I informed Conri through our mind link.

"I will tear his head off," Conri seethed as Dolf growled.

"No. We need him alive for the KODA council."

"Fine. "He snapped and I could tell he was angry.

"Why the fuck is Lucian smiling?" I heard Lyal demand.

"Must be the drugs," Duciana responded as her words slurred

"I don’t think so," Lyal responded and in seconds the door of the hotel was kicked open, making Duciana scream and Lyal stood frozen.

Benjamin walked in, followed by Dolf. Conri has shifted into his wolf form. He growled so loud that the bed shook and Duciana collapsed in fear. I watched as Lyal’s eyes widened and he rushed towards the window, but Benjamin was faster than him and pinned him down.

"You are in so much trouble," Tala walked in and smirked. She was carrying a large pair of cutters as she walked to the bed and cut the chains that held me.

"Thank you, "I croaked as she held me up from the bed and I felt woozy.

"Lucian, are you okay? " I heard Benjamin ask as I shook my head to clear the dizziness.

" A bit dizzy but fine," I responded, and Dolf’s growl came out like a rumble from his chest to his snort. I staggered over to Dolf and held on to his neck.

The hotel security arrived with Hunter and the enforcers. We all watched his intake of breath as he stared at Dolf and then his eyes widened as Benjamin stepped on Lyal and Duciana Due’s unconscious body on the floor.

"What happened here?" He asked.

"You better arrest these two," Benjamin responded. "They drugged and kidnapped CEO Lucian Freki"

"Shit" We heard the enforcers who had accompanied Hunter curse.

Hunter swallowed hard as his eyes remained glued to Dolf. But Dolf ignored him and then turned towards the door, indicating that he wanted to leave.

"I have never seen such an enormous wolf. " One enforcer whispered.

"Must be one of the KODA council members," another stated.

"Move out of the way. I need to go to the hospital, "I croaked. "You better send one enforcer to take my statement.

Hunter nodded and looked uncomfortable with the whole situation. Benjamin lifted his leg from Lyal and said, " I have already reported to the KODA council members. They are all yours"

And with that, we left the hotel room and took the fire exit using the stairs. Tala rushed down and came back with a set of clothes.

"I will stand guard by the door. " Benjamin went back to the door while Tala nodded and went down the stairs. I turned to Dolf and in seconds he had shifted fully clothed.

"Are you okay? ’’ He pulled me into an embrace.

"I am now" I basked in his warmth and felt Freki purr. " Thank you for coming"

"I was so scared, lil pup," Conri growled.

"Me too. Thank you for the mating bond or else" I shuddered.

"I will make them pay, " Conri asserted and then lifted me bridal style as we walked down the stairs. As we got to the bottom, Tala stood by the exit door, turned around, and gasped in surprise.

"Wow," she uttered as she opened the door for us. We heard Benjamin coming down the stairs as his heavy footsteps thudded all over. We got to the parking lot of the hotel, and Zeeb was pacing up and down as the security team stood on guard.

"Where are we?" I asked Conri, and then Zeeb turned around and heaved a sigh of relief.

"Why did you let him go without the security team? "Conri growled.

"I had the security team with me. "I answered before Zeeb could speak. " Duciana drugged me at the City council offices.

"What?" I heard Tala and Benjamin exclaim.

"Yes. It’s time we exposed the rot at the City council offices," I affirmed.

"But first, let us head to the hospital. Have all the blood work done. We need all the evidence to take down Lyal and Duciana"

"Did you just say Lyal?" Zeeb’s eyes widened.

I nodded as the security team opened the door of the car. Conri placed me on the seat, closed the door, and then rushed to the other side and got in. We took off from the hotel and when we got to the main highway; I realized that they had driven to the hotel at the end of the pier as I watched the sunset.

I leaned over to Conri and spoke hushedly, "We need to access the Adora Crystal room tonight. This is the right time since Lobo Aria will be more worried about his brother’s crimes"
