LEVI ISLA’S POV

I had bribed the guard to give me the work schedule of Everest Sable at the Freki Construction sight. My wolf was impatient as I paced up and down by the door of the construction site. The guard had let on that Everest had informed him that he would come back to the site after attending matters at the KODA council.

It was close to midnight when the headlights of his car hit the construction site gates. The scent of my mate hit my nostrils and my wolf paced in happiness. Everest stepped out of the car and his face was thunderous with anger as he demanded, "What the fuck are you doing here ?"

"I am here to see you" I shrugged my shoulders noncommittal.

"Go away" He seethed raising his hands.

"I don’t mind making a scene Sable," I drawled using his last name

"Drop that name from your mouth you liar" He muttered as sidestepped and walked into the construction site. The guards bowed as he whisked through while I followed him without a care. He walked to the container office, unlocked the door, and was about to bang it when I hurriedly got in and closed it.

His eyes widened, and he took a step back and crossed his arms over his chest.

"Sable, when did I become a liar? "I demanded and leaned on the door.

We stood four minutes before I opened my eyes and found him watching me with keen interest.

"What is it?" I smiled warmly at him.

"How do I know that you are true to me? "He demanded.
