Chapter 59: POWER COUPLE

We ran in wolf form into the fog and approached the forest, where we heard the roar. "There are over two wolves. One is lurking in the cloud cover at the edge of the forest, "Dolf stated.

"I sense someone is controlling them, "Freki responded with a growl.

"Enforcers, "Dolf stated.

"Spare no one who attacks us. I hate being threatened, "Freki growled. "How dare they interrupt our mating?"

Dolf snickered, and his nostrils flared. We moved in unison out into the open meadow and waited. The first wolf appeared from the cloud. Mangy, menacing, and huge. Dolf scoffed off while Freki growled, ready for battle.

"Don’t get hurt. "I pushed the words through our mind link to Lucian.

"We attack together," Lucian responded.

The wolf approached, but it was no match for us. Attacking like a knife through butter, Dolf hit it and Freki landed on his neck and teeth latched there. The wolf whimpered in shock as I approached and tore off its head.

"Fucking mangy," I seethed and Freki’s loud growl echoed through the forest. The rest of the wolves followed suit, and Dolf’s power was unmatched. He roared and pushed his Alpha power to the wolves and they took a step back and whimpered in fear. He then moved with speed and attacked. Freki tore off all heads of the wolves, mimicking what Dolf had done as the wolves hit the ground from Dolf’s attacks.

It was a sweet massacre and Dolf stood tall as he waited for me to join him by the end of the forest.

"There is one more wolf. This one is different. "Dolf stated.

"I can sense it too. It’s out for blood and power," Freki responded.

"Power?" Dolf turned his snout to stare at Freki.

"Yes. It feeds on wolf powers, "Freki growled.

We stood in waiting and the enforcers finally came out of the shadow, a leash on a wolf almost Freki’s size. Black ivory teeth out and the way it drooled told us that this was the meanest, mangy rogue wolf that attacked Anisha and Tala.

"Surrender," the enforcer spoke up.

Dolf roared, and the entire forest trembled from the roar.

"Leave the mangy beast to me, you can have the enforcer, "Dolf growled.

"Fucking enforcer "Freki growled

The enforcer and the wolf slowly approached as Dolf stood in, waiting for the right moment to attack. A sound in the nearby woods made us all turn and open our senses to check what it was. Walking barefoot out of the woods was none other than the Tizheruk. His eyes were already green, and this made the enforcer take a step back as his eyes darted between us.

"How can you have all this fun alone? "Tizheruk demanded with a sly grin.

I automatically shifted back to my human form fully dressed, and the enforcer’s jaw dropped.

"Why are you here?" I spoke up calmly.

"To get rid of that beast," Tizheruk stated, pointing at the mangy wolf. The mangy wolf and then the Tizheruk smirked. "Lip pup, you are no match for me, "

The enforcer released the mangy wolf, and then Tizheruk rushed towards it to attack. In seconds, he transformed into a large serpent in midair, and it was a sight to behold. His mouth opened wide, and he snapped off the mangy wolf’s head, spit it out, and then landed back in human form.

The park enforcer stood staring at him in terror, petrified from the Tizheruk, and dropped to the ground. Tizheruk chuckled while he spit on the ground next to the enforcer and then walked back to where we stood with Freki.

"Your mate wolf is beautiful "Tizheruk laughed and Freki bowed to him.

"He is, "I responded.

"How did you know we were in danger?" I inquired.

"You and I are connected. ’’ Tizheruk shrugged. "You need to know that they bred a beast feeding it Cinnabar gemstone. The sulfur in the gemstone is toxic to humans but increases the power of shifter wolves. "

I nodded. " someone had informed me of the same. "I remembered my conversation with Everest.

" Why haven’t you embraced your destiny? The Ambrosius Lupine can only control the Adora crystal. The guardians of the crystal are growing old. "Tizheruk spoke.

"The shifter golden pack has nothing to do with me. ’’ I snapped and rubbed Freki’s fur on his back.

"You are wrong," Tizheruk stated as he turned to leave.

"How do you know so much?" I yelled at him.

His step faltered, and he turned around with the same smirk. "Dolf, do you think it was a coincidence that we met and stayed together in the woods?"

"Why do you always answer my question with a question?"

He laughed. Accept your destiny and I will reveal everything. "You," He pointed at Freki, " take him to the KODA council before the appearance of the full moon. "He then disappeared into the trees just as he had appeared.

"Freki is going back to the shed to shit and get dressed, ’’ Dolf announced and I nodded. Freki howled and then ran through the trees as I stood staring at all the dead wolves in the meadow. Ten minutes later, Lucian appeared from the fog and walked over to stand, looking up at me. He handed me the cell phone and stated, "I called it in."

"Good. Let us wait for Hunter to explain this shitty mess," I drawled in anger.

"Is the enforcer dead or petrified?" Lucian asked.

"Petrified. He will not remember anything before the Tizheruk appeared. "I explained.

We stood in waiting as the cold picked up, and the hours of the morning arrived. We listened to the distant sounds of the enforcers arriving in the meadow accompanied by hunting wolves as the small rays of the sunrise hit the meadow.

As they approached, they all stared at the dead wolves and the enforcer, who was lying on the ground.

Hunter walked towards us and demanded, "What the fuck happened here?"

Lucian’s angry voice and growling response made me proud. " Hunter Hemming. I know you plan to kill my husband. But you better do it smartly instead of a sneak attack in the middle of the night. How dare you use mangy wolves to attack us??
