After I picked up Aurora and Cadman at the airport, I immediately knew that they were mated by the way they smelled of each other. I held back a smile and wanted to surprise Lucian and wondered how shocked he would be when he sensed their mating bond. Once the blood scroll powers went into Lucian, I felt the Ratban link strengthen and Adora seemed pleased with the powers that merged in our mind link. But I could sense that Lucian held back and planned to ask him once we were alone.

"Thank you, Uncle Cadman," Lucian spoke up as we sat down for a late dinner by the poach next to the beach.

"Most welcome Lucian. This is the most I can do for you. You saved my life, and you are family. This blood scroll will be safe with you. "Uncle Cadman responded.

"Exactly. We have so much to do within the year you will be away "Aurora nodded.

"I hope nothing happens and the Golden Shifter pack remains safe," I spoke.

We chatted for hours and then Aurora and Uncle Cadman went to bed. Lucian had been experiencing insomnia and spent most of the late house reading but today he was asleep the minute he hit the bed.

I tucked him and went back to the kitchen and found Uncle Cadman doing the dishes.

"I thought you went to bed?" I spoke up and he turned around in surprise.

"Aurora is asleep, and I was hoping to get an opportunity to have a word with you "Uncle Cadman responded and then turned back to do the dishes. I moved to the sink next to him and then we got busy. Once done, we dried the dishes in silence and thereafter settled by the poach over a few beers.

"What are your worries?" I spoke up when I felt that Uncle Cadman was holding back.

"Judy fooled us. Thank God Aurora saw through her "He responded.

"What do you mean? "I sat up straight.

"When you left for Slovakia, I requested Aurora and Tala to come to the mountain and guard Judy. The day Aurora appeared; Judy’s attitude changed. We retired into our bedrooms and when I got to bed, Lucian cuddled close to me as he settled his body on mine and went back to sleep.

Early the next day, Aurora and Cadman left Attu Island the next day while Lucian and I spent time at the beach enjoying the view.

Dolf stirred up and pushed the words through "We need to seal the mind link. I can feel that Freki and Lucian’s witch powers are struggling to keep the power in check. For the sake of the pups, we must do this now"

"Lil pup, we need to stabilize our powers "I spoke to him.

Lucia raised his head and then said, "Dolf’s idea, right?"

"Yes," I nodded. He wants the pups to remain safe. You understand that protecting you is my number one priority" I responded.

We moved to the living room and sat across from each other and closed our eyes. Adora rose and pushed his power between us as Ranbat and the blood scroll merged, and I realized that the blood scroll was tainted. Adora pushed its power and Ranbat held on as it cleaned the scroll and then all was calm in Lucian’s mind.

"Forgive me, King of wolves, I came to your mate when I was tainted. I have been trying to remain sane for the past one hundred years. Being in Judy’s body was like a prison and I could only hold on to Cadman’s body. "The voice of the blood scroll rose.

"Adora has cleaned all the black magic that was left in you "Dolf ’s voice rose.

"Let us completely merge" Ranbat responded, and I felt the seal of our mind link. Once it was done, we both opened our eyes and stood staring at each other.

I pulled him into my lap and his hands went around my neck affectionately as he sat in waiting for my response.

"Because the link between me and Tizheruk is gone. We have fulfilled our duties and now we shall enjoy peace. "I responded.

"Gone? Completely?" Lucian’s reaction was like Tizheruk, and it made me laugh.

"You seem to have gotten used to the fact that we had a mind link with the serpent sea god "I teased him.
