" Cadman, that loud mouth, spoke up even before we could say a word, " I confessed.

Thankfully Oliver, Jerusha, and Graham got out of bed walked to the living room room and asked " What happened, you are home late today ?"

I narrated what happened and could feel Aspen’s anger lessen and he leaned back on the couch to listen.

" What the fuck is wrong with the people in the golden shifter pack " Oliver cursed.

" I suspect this has been going on for a long time, " Jerusha pointed out.

" Lobo was blind as he was invested in his power path to notice that the pack had been filtered with traitors’ ’ Graham stated.

" Correct. There are eight prisoners in the KODA council jail. We shall deal with it tomorrow. " I heaved a sigh.

" You seem tired, " Oliver Power pointed out.

" I had to deal with Judy too. Reinforce Chugach prison wards and all the magic in the mountain. " I responded.

" So it was Cadman who did it ?" Aspen asked.

" Mmh" I nodded.

" Come on, shower and have something to eat" Aspen spoke up.

I stood up and left the room. I stripped, walked into the shower, and stood as the cold water scalded my back. Fatigue finally hit my body and my hand braced itself on the bathroom tiles for support and then felt Aspen move behind me as he embraced me. His naked body was pressed in mine and I could feel the comfort that came from him.

" Are you comforting me ?" I teased him.

" No" He responded with a tone of arrogance.

" You are still angry right ?" I chuckled as the water ran through our bodies.

" Mmh " He responded.

" What can I do to calm you down?" I turned around and faced him.

" Finish showering and come to the living room" He nodded and I pulled him and kissed him. He moaned into the kiss and I reveled in how good he tasted.

" I missed you" I whispered when the kiss ended.

Aspen smiled and patted my cheek and walked out of the bathroom as I stared at his naked back.

" I am so lucky " I whispered more to myself. My stomach growled and I left the shower, dressed, and walked to the living room. There was a plate of food on the table plus a glass of juice. Jerusha, Graham, and Oliver were drinking whiskey and Aspen was the only one who sat back looking bored.

" You made him angry again, " Oliver stated. " You seem to be gone for hours and you never communicate.

I finally understood. The problem was that I was away and was practicing on my own. We had been together for so long and now that I was busy with Uncle Cadman my brothers felt uneasy.

" I know that I have been away for a while now. I took on a responsibility without consulting all of you. But I had no time to react or refuse. It is an honor to serve the mountain god. And the fact that it helped me save Lucian, then I am not sorry that I did." I heard Aspen’s angry breath intake and continued to babble before he misinterpreted my words. " But now that all is well and the place is calm, I have been thinking that Chugach prison and the surrounding mountain area need more security. Hence, I want to invite you all to go with me and work on this. "

" Really ?" Oliver was the first to respond as he sat forward.

" That is a good idea, " Jerusha nodded.

" I want us to purchase a boat. Go sailing on the weekends and even spend time in Sitka" Graham announced.

" Absolutely " Jerusha chuckled.

" I am sorry " I stated and pushed the plate away and picked up the glass of juice" I seemed to have made all of you unhappy. I apologize. "

" Don’t do it again " Aspen scolded.

" I will not, " I nodded at him.

" It’s late, let’s go to bed " Aspen stood up and left the room.

" You made him unhappy, " Oliver pointed at me.

" Tomorrow when you all come to Chugach prison you will understand. That finger you pointed at me will cost you one thousand dollars. " I stood up, heading to the kitchen to clean up the plate.

" Deal" Oliver responded arrogantly.

" You two are hopeless, " Jerusha yelled as I walked into the kitchen and cleaned the plate. They all came and dropped the glass on the sink and chuckled as they patted my back and went to bed. I joined them in the bedroom once done and Aspen cuddled in the middle as we all fell asleep.

We assembled the next day at the KODA council and Hunter informed us that Alpha Conri was on his way.

" I see you brought everyone along " Uncle Cadman teased me.

" You are so bad! " I scolded him. " You caused me a lot of trouble yesterday"

" Did I? I just saved you yesterday. I can see your mates are happy, " Uncle Cadman pointed out.

" I figured out that I needed to spend time with them. I have a few ideas on how to revive Chugach and make it a fortress " I winked at Uncle Cadman and he burst out in laughter.

" I will support you" He nodded and patted my back.

" What are the two of you colluding about ?" Hunter yelled and everyone burst out in laughter. He turned to Aspen and said " I will deal with you later on"

" I prefer to do it now "Aspen walked over and stood before him. " Brother, do you have an issue with me "

" What the fuck ?" Zeeb whispered to Everest. "How did he get so bold?"

" He has always been like this, " I responded.

" How come I am the last one to know ?" Hunter demanded not backing down.

" Because you tend to overreact " Aspen huffed." What does it matter what wolf is born in me? "

" It does, It seems you don’t know the pack rules’ ’ Hunter snickered at him. " I will save you face and let you find out for yourself "

Aspen rubbed his face in frustration and then turned to leave " I will be at the pack office " He grunted and left.

"You are too much, " Everest scolded him.

"He will find out the hard way " Hunter shrugged his shoulders and then Lovita reported " Alpha Conri is almost here"

As a force of habit, we raised our noses to scent him and then listen in as the car parked in the parking lot, doors opened and Conri Dolf appeared in the doorway of the KODA council and growled " Where the fuck are they ?"

" Greetings Alpha Conri " We all piped as the building rattled from his growl.

" Cut the crap," He rambled on and Everest led the way to the jail cells.

Conri stood at the first Jail where Patrick Blue was held and Hunter spoke up. " This is Patrick Blue, he is one of the traitors who held Enid, Chaka, and Judy to kidnap Lucian. "

It was in a flash that Conri yanked the railings of the jail and it ripped into and he moved in and snapped Patrick Blue’s neck, snapping his head and killing him. He then walked out to the next jail cell and asked " And him?"

David staggered back went on his knees and begged " Please Alpha, spare my life "

" You have the same scent as him, hence you must be David ’’ Conri had already ripped the rails of the cell, and killed David.

" Now that’s what I call the power of the Alpha ’’ Oliver beamed.

" Where are the traitors from Due Corporation?." Cori demanded as his eyes flashed golden and all felt the power of Dolf.

"Alpha please spare us " voices from all the jail cells could be heard.

" Did you spare my mate ?" Conri growled as he moved to the next jail cell that held Cynthia Evans and Derrick Dawn. They were already on their feet.

" What is the use of begging when you have committed such an act of terror " I snickered.

Conri turned to me and said " Exactly. "

" My family was threatened. I had no choice, " Cynthia Evans spoke up.

" What about trust? The pack members have been protecting everyone. We have worked hard to make the pack safe and even created a family. But you all want to misbehave and condone evil deeds. Let it be known through the pack that I will not tolerate traitors. And in the same way, Cynthia and Derrick were killed by Alpha Conri. No one was spared and an hour later the pack offices had taken the bodies and burnt them by the Freki Mountains crematorium.

" I will be traveling out of Chugach soon. I leave the pack office to all of you. Anyone who dares mess with the pack, snap his neck off and burn his body " Conri growled in a command, and with that he was gone.
