" What happened to Pa" Lucian stepped forward and his eyes bore at Austin.

Izak burst out in hysteria and answered " Your mother loved pearls. After her death, your father took her ashes to the pearl farm even though the tomb is in Chugach cemetery. He brought back pearls in her memory. Austin and Aipaloovik attempted to take the shifter power but something blocked us. We later came to realize it was the Adora Crystal that old man Odwolf Freki found in the mountains and handed over to the KODA council"

" Keep running your mouth, Izak. It will not end well " Austin growled.

" Do you know what he did? He poisoned the old man when he went to the pearl farm and when Anisha found him, he was on the verge of death and we ended up with nothing. No powers or Adora. " Why should we care about a bunch of murderous men?" Everest demanded.

"We don’t" Tizheruk responded.

" You see Aipaloovik sensed the power of the Tabular as it lay in the ocean. He took it and pushed it into his dead mate’s body. ’’ Izak laughed out loud until tears were forced in his eyes.

" You crazy lunatic" I attempted to step forward but Yari interjected and said " No need to take away his shifter powers. They are already corrupted and will consume his body soon enough. He will be dead before the weekends. Aipaloovik’s powers were the ones sustaining him. "

It was at that instant that Austin vomited blood and Everest and Hunter moved away. The blood sipped on the ground and the poison from it left a smoke. Yari pushed the power of the magic truth out of Izak and he fell on the ground.

" Both of them are poisoned, " Yari stated. " Death is imminent for them as what was sustaining them was Aipalooviks’s power.

" Come on" Uncle Cadman commanded Commander Abram and they picked the bodies and took them into the prison.

" I am curious as to where they are taking them since they need to be locked up under confinement and never let out. " Jerusha asked.

" There is a morgue in the prison. Probably lock them up there until they die" Hunter spoke up.

" Good riddance. It’s time to go back home" I said. " Today was a hard day and the bigger part of the threat was neutralized. Everyone needs a rest"

" I am going back to Sitka" Tizheruk announced.

" My Lord, the waters are not safe since the pearl nest exploded. I suggest we go and take a closer look before we go to Sitka" Alexander responded.

" That is a good plan, " Tizheruk nodded.

" How much trouble do you want to be in? Today is not a good day to be in the sea. Go home to Sitka. Haida is waiting for you. " I scolded Tizheruk. " And Godmother is already anxious. "

" I can imagine. Have the enforcers watch out for the sea and report if they see anything strange. ’’ Tizheruk stated as they bid us farewell and left the mountain with Alexander.

" Will they go home as planned ?" Lucian asked.

" Yes, " I nodded.

"The rest of you need to go home" Uncle Cadman’s voice boomed. " The mountain is safe and I will let you know in case of anything "

" You are such a loudmouth " Uncle Cadman snapped at him. " Go back to you, mate. I will contact you the day after tomorrow. "

" I feel dismissed " Commander Abram shook his head but beckoned Jerusha to follow him as Hunter, Everest, Tala, and Levy followed suit.

" Old man, you finally found your match. You will no longer bullshit your way as Commander Abram will keep a close eye on you" Lucian chuckled and pointed at Uncle Cadman.

" What a bother." He huffed before speaking again and said " I need a favor "

" What is it ?" Lucian asked.

" The truth about the mountain god needs to remain a secret. Greed always rules and if they found out that we have been protecting Chugach Mountain because of the power of the Mountain god, there is bound to be an influx of new shifters who are curious to explore. " Uncle Cadman asserted.

" Of Course. I will talk to the rest about it" I nodded. " No one will leak a word about it. "

" Thank you Conri. And it would be beneficial for both of us. Taking into account that the power of the mountain god also resides in you. And only the king of wolves can summon the moon god" Uncle Cadmon pointed out.

" No need to spell it all out. We understand" Lucian nodded.

" Thank you, Lucian," Uncle Cadman nodded as we left Chugach prison and walked down the mountain.

" Tomorrow, I will get a hunter and Everest to bury the dead wolves and shifters in the forest. They deserve the best send-off. " I informed Lucian.

" Agreed. I still feel that Alexander’s suggestion to check the sea was right. But I understand that Haida is worried, especially by the fact that Tizheruk is in danger.
